An overview is provided of CFDShip-Iowa modeling, numerical methods and high performance computing （HPC）, including both current V4.5 and V5.5 and next generation V6. Examples for naval architecture highlight capability and needs. High fidelity V6 simulations for ocean engineering and fundamental physics describe increased resolution for analysis of physics of fluids. Uncertainty quantification research is overviewed as the first step towards development stochastic optimization.

Objective:To evaluate the antihyperglycemic activity of leaves of Hyptis suaveolens using streptozotocin ***:Hyptis suaveolens extract(HSE) 250 and 500 mg/kg body weight was administered orally to streptozotocin induced diabetes,once daily for 21 ***:A significant reduction in blood glucose was observed in diabetic animals treated with HSE at different doses when compared with diabetic *** of triglyceride,total cholesterol,low density *** low density lipoprotein were decreased while administering HSE at different doses,compared with their control values in diabetic ***:Our results show that HSE possesses significant antihyperglycemic activity which might be attributed to stimulating effects on glucose utilization and antioxidant enzyme.

We present CCD photometric observations of an eclipsing binary in the direction of the open cluster Praesepe using the 2 m telescope at IUCAA Girawali Observatory, India. Though the system was classified as an eclipsing binary by Pepper et al., detailed investigations have been lacking. The photometric solutions using the Wilson-Devinney code suggest that it is a W-type W UMa system and, interestingly, the system parameters are similar to another contact binary system SW Lac.

CCD photometric observations with B and V passbands were performed on the contact binary V3 in the field of open cluster M37. The solutions were obtained for data from both B and V passbands along with R passband given by Hartman et al. using the Wilson-Devinney code. The positive O＇Connell effect was observed in all the three passbands and its associated cool spot parameters were derived. The results indicate that the spot parameters have not shown any significant variability during the last four years. The spot radius was found to be 40° and located close to the equator of the secondary component. The absolute parameters of the system were derived using the empirical relations given by Gazeas et al.

对蜡样芽孢杆菌YSQ08、角质蛋白酶、酶菌联合降解羽毛三种方式进行比较,结果酶菌联合降解羽毛的效果更突出。深入研究蜡样芽孢杆菌YSQ08、角质蛋白酶添加顺序、菌培养时间以及酶添加时间对羽毛降解率的影响,结果采用菌+酶的方式能降解更多的羽毛;同时数据表明菌液在培养14h时产酶达到高峰,加入菌液后的24h再添加角质蛋白酶能保持其较高的活力。以pH值、羽毛添加量、酶添加量、菌液添加量、培养天数为试验因素,设计L(4)正交试验,结果表明在pH 9.0、羽毛添加量3.0%、酶添加量2000 U/g、菌液添加量1.5%、培养时间为96 h条件下,发酵结果最优,此时氨基酸含量为223.26 mg/L,降解率为81.76%。pH 9.0、羽毛添加量3.0%、酶添加量3000 U/g、菌液添加量3.0%、培养时间为4 d为各自的因素的均值最值,以此为条件进行验证试验,结果表明,此时氨基酸含量为273.57 mg/L,降解率为85.41%。以最优发酵条件制备发酵液,取部分发酵液进行5000 r/min离心10 min,得到发酵上清液、发酵沉淀物;对其真空冷冻干燥,得到发酵液干物质、上清液干物质、沉淀物干物质,其蛋白质含量分别为87.35%、41.43%、92.36%。蜡样芽孢杆菌YSQ08联合角蛋白酶降解鸡羽毛后得到的发酵上清液干物质饲养黑水虻效果优于猪粪、发酵沉淀干物质以及发酵液干物质。其饲养黑水虻到一半预蛹时的平均增重为0.2399g,料重比为2.6341、转化率为38.19%、存活率为90.79%。

The heavy metals present in the environment accumulate in the plants and affect their productivity and *** entering the food chain,metals cause several serious health problems in human beings as well as in other *** acetic acid(IAA)is known to act as a signaling molecule between symbiotic association of metal accumulating plants and plant growth promoting rhizobacteria(PGPR).Present study demonstrated a protective role of IAA against surplus Zinc(Zn)-induced toxicity to Hordeum vulgare *** Zn concentrations suppressed the plant growth,caused a reduction in leaf relative water contents(RWC)and elevated free proline and non-protein thiols(NPT)*** treatment also led to enhanced lipid peroxidation(MDA contents)as well as the activity of ascorbate peroxidase(APX),showing the involvement of antioxidative defense mechanism to reduce Zn induced *** oxidase activity was also observed to increase due to Zn *** pretreatment of *** caryopsis could partly revert the Zn-induced toxicity in seedlings.
