Microseismic source location using the Log-Cosh function and distant sensor-removed P-wave arrival data

Source location is the core foundation of microseismic *** date,commonly used location methods have usually been based on the ray-tracing travel-time technique,which generally adopts an L1 or L2 norm to establish the location objective ***,the L1 norm usually achieves low location accuracy,whereas the L2 norm is easily affected by large P-wave arrival-time picking *** addition,traditional location methods may be affected by the initial iteration point used to find a local optimum ***,the P-wave arrival-time data that have travelled long distances are usually poor in *** address these problems,this paper presents a microseismic source location method using the Log-Cosh function and distant sensor-removed P-wave arrival *** basic principles are as follows:First,the source location objective function is established using the Log-Cosh *** function has the stability of the L1 norm and location accuracy of the L2 ***,multiple initial points are generated randomly in the mining area,and the established Log-Cosh location objective function is used to obtain multiple corresponding location *** average value of the 50 location points with the largest data field potential values is treated as the initial location ***,the P-wave travel times from the initial location result to triggered sensors are calculated,and then the P-wave arrival data with travel times exceeding 0.2 s are ***,the aforementioned location steps are repeated with the denoised P-wave arrival dataset to obtain a high-precision location *** synthetic events and eight blasting events from the Yongshaba mine,China,were used to test the proposed *** of whether the P-wave arrival data with long travel times were eliminated,the location error of the proposed method was smaller than that of the L1/L2 norm and trigger-time-based location method(TT1/TT2 method).Furthermore,after eliminating the Pw

Risk factors,prognostic factors,and nomograms for distant metastasis in patients with diagnosed duodenal cancer:A population-based study

BACKGROUND Duodenal cancer is one of the most common subtypes of small intestinal cancer,and distant metastasis(DM)in this type of cancer still leads to poor *** nomograms have recently been used in tumor areas,no studies have focused on the diagnostic and prognostic evaluation of DM in patients with primary duodenal *** To develop and evaluate nomograms for predicting the risk of DM and person-alized prognosis in patients with duodenal *** Data on duodenal cancer patients diagnosed between 2010 and 2019 were extracted from the Surveillance,Epidemiology,and End Results *** and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify independent risk factors for DM in patients with duodenal cancer,and univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression analyses were used to determine independent prognostic factors in duodenal cancer patients with *** novel nomograms were established,and the results were evaluated by receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves,calibration curves,and decision curve analysis(DCA).RESULTS A total of 2603 patients with duodenal cancer were included,of whom 457 cases(17.56%)had DM at the time of *** analysis revealed independent risk factors for DM in duodenal cancer patients,including gender,grade,tumor size,T stage,and N stage(P<0.05).Univariate and multivariate COX analyses further identified independent prognostic factors for duodenal cancer patients with DM,including age,histological type,T stage,tumor grade,tumor size,bone metastasis,chemotherapy,and surgery(P<0.05).The accuracy of the nomograms was validated in the training set,validation set,and expanded testing set using ROC curves,calibration curves,and DCA *** results of Kaplan-Meier survival curves(P<0.001)indicated that both nomograms accurately predicted the occurrence and prognosis of DM in patients with duodenal *** The two nomograms are expected as effective tools fo

The overgeneralisation may happen because most studies on data publishing for multiple sensitive attributes(SAs)have not considered the personalised privacy ***,sensitive information disclosure may also be caused by these personalised *** address the matter,this article develops a personalised data publishing method for multiple *** to the requirements of individuals,the new method partitions SAs values into two categories:private values and public values,and breaks the association between them for privacy *** the private values,this paper takes the process of anonymisation,while the public values are released without this *** algorithm is designed to achieve the privacy mode,where the selectivity is determined by the sensitive value frequency and undesirable *** experimental results show that the proposed method can provide more information utility when compared with previous *** theoretic analyses and experiments also indicate that the privacy can be guaranteed even though the public values are known to an *** overgeneralisation and privacy breach caused by the personalised requirement can be avoided by the new method.

Role of temperature in tribolayers in fretting wear ofγ-TiAl alloy

The formation of tribolayers may play significant influences on fretting *** elevated temperature,the adhesion among wear debris and the increased diffusion rate facilitate the formation of ***,the intensification of oxidation at elevated temperature and the low diffusion rate in oxides may play an adverse *** present study aims to investigate the role of temperature in tribolayers in fretting wear using aγ-TiAl *** electron microscope,energy dispersive spectrometer,Raman spectrometer,transmission electron microscope and nanoindentation were utilized to investigate the wear debris,tribolayers,and wear *** fretting tests showed that,compared with that at room temperature(RT)and 350℃,significant reduction in wear rate and decrease in the fluctuation of friction coefficient occurred at 550 and 750℃.It was further revealed that when temperature raised from room temperature(RT)to 750℃,the oxidation of the wear debris increased slightly and the diffusion coefficients increased prominently,which facilities the formation of well tribo-sintered *** well tribo-sintered tribolayers presented homogenous structure,nanocrystalline grains with excellent mechanical properties,and resulted in the improvement in the fretting wear resistance of theγ-TiAl alloy at 550 and 750℃.

Atomistic study on the microscopic mechanism of grain boundary embrittlement induced by small dense helium bubbles in iron

The helium bubbles induced by 14 MeV neutron irradiation can cause intergranular fractures in reduced activation ferritic martensitic steel,which is a candidate structural material for fusion *** order to elucidate the susceptibility of different grain boundaries(GBs)to helium-induced embrittlement,the tensile fracture processes of 10 types of GBs with and without helium bubbles in body-centered cubic(bcc)iron at the relevant service temperature of 600 K were investigated via molecular dynamics *** results indicate that in the absence of helium bubbles,the GBs studied here can be classified into two distinct categories:brittle GBs and ductile *** atomic scale analysis shows that the plastic deformation of ductile GB at high temperatures originates from complex plastic deformation mechanisms,including the Bain/Burgers path phase transition and deformation twinning,in which the Bain path phase transition is the most dominant plastic deformation ***,the presence of helium bubbles severely inhibits the plastic deformation channels of the GBs,resulting in a significant decrease in elongation at *** bubble-decorated GBs,the ultimate tensile strength increases with the increase in the misorientation ***,the coherent twin boundary∑3{112}was found to maintain relatively high fracture strength and maximum failure strain under the influence of helium bubbles.

Effectiveness of urban distributed runoff model for discharge and water depth calculation in urban drainage pipe networks

Effective urban land-use re-planning and the strategic arrangement of drainage pipe networks can significantly enhance urban flood defense *** at reducing the potential risks of urban flooding,this paper presents a straightforward and efficient approach to an urban distributed runoff model(UDRM).The model is developed to quantify the discharge and water depth within urban drainage pipe networks under varying rainfall intensities and land-use *** Nash efficiency coefficient of UDRM exceeds 0.9,which indicates its high computational efficiency and potential benefit in predicting urban *** prediction of drainage conditions under both current and re-planned land-use types is achieved by adopting different flood recurrence *** findings reveal that the re-planned land-use strategies could effectively diminish flood risk upstream of the drainage pipe network across 20-year and 50-year flood recurrence ***,in the case of extreme rainfall events(a 100-year flood recurrence),the re-planned land-use approach fell short of fulfilling the requirements necessary for flood disaster *** these instances,the adoption of larger-diameter drainage pipes becomes an essential requisite to satisfy drainage ***,the proposed UDRM effectively combines land-use information with pipeline data to give practical suggestions for pipeline modification and land-use optimization to combat urban ***,this methodology warrants further promotion in the field of urban re-planning.
