Hyperbranched polyethylenimine （PEl）-functionalized mesoporous silica （MCM@PEI） was synthesized and used to produce poly（vinyl alcohol）（PVA） nanocomposites. The modified nanofiller was charac- terized with infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and N2 adsorption. When compared with pure meso- porous silica （MCM）, the MCM@PEI nanoparticles exhibited better dispersion in the PVA matrix. The effects of MCM@PEI on the thermal and flame properties of PVA nanocomposites were also studied. Improvement in the thermal properties was confirmed by enhanced thermal stability and char yield. Incorporation of MCM@PEI in PVA led to a significant drop in the heat release rate and the total heat release.

Background： Gastroesophageal reflux disease （GERD） is one of the most common gastrointestinal com- plaints. GERD, caused by the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus, leads to troublesome symptoms such as heartburn and regurgitation. It is classified into two types： erosive esophagitis, characterized by visible esophageal mucosa erosion in endoscopy, and non-erosive reflux disease （NERD）. GERD is a chronic and recurrent disease that impairs the quality of life and imposes socioeco- nomic and therapeutic burdens to both patients and society. Objective： Due to the failure of the conventional treatments for GERD and to the traditional use of Amla （Phyllanthus emblica L.）, in addition to beneficial effects shown in recent studies, we evaluated the safety and efficacy of Amla tablet for improvement of symptoms of patients with NERD. Design, setting, participants and interventions： We designed a double-arm, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial. Sixty-eight patients who had classic symptoms of GERD （heartburn, regurgitation and epigastralgia） for at least three months before the start of the trial were randomized in two parallel groups. Patients in the Amla group received two 500 mg Amla tablets twice a day, after meals, for 4 weeks. In the control group, patients received placebo tablets similar to the Amla prescription. Main outcome measures： The patients were visited at baseline, and at the end of the 2nd and 4th weeks of intervention; their symptoms were measured on a frequency and severity scale for the symptoms of NERD, according to the quality of life in reflux-associated disease questionnaire. Results： Frequencies of heartburn and regurgitation in both groups of the study were significantly reduced after intervention （P 〈 0.001）. Hippo Tumor Suppressor Pathway is the main pathway for cell growth that regulates tissue enlargement and organ size by limiting cell *** pathway is activated in response to cell cycle arrest signals(cell polarity,transduction,and DNA damage)and limited by growth factors or mitogens associated with EGF and *** major pathway consists of the central kinase of Ste20 MAPK(Saccharomyces cerevisiae),Hpo(Drosophila melanogaster)or MST kinases(mammalian)that activates the mammalian AGC kinase dmWts or LATS effector(MST and LATS).YAP in the nucleus work as a cofactor for a wide range of transcription factors involved in proliferation(TEA domain family,TEAD1-4),stem cells(Oct4 mononuclear factor and SMAD-related TGFb effector),differentiation(RUNX1),and Cell cycle/apoptosis control(p53,p63,and p73 family members).This is due to the diverse roles of YAP and may limit tumor progression and *** also coordinates various signal transduction pathways such as Hippo,WNT,TGFb and EGFR,and effects on lack of regulation of TEAD cancerous genes,such as KRAS,BRAF,LKB1,NF2 and MYC,which play essential roles in tumor progression,metastasis,cancer metabolism,immunity,and drug ***,RAS signaling is a pivotal factor in the inactivation of Hippo,which controls EGFR-RAS-RAF-MEK-ERKmediated interaction of Hippo ***,the loss of the Hippo pathway may have significant consequences on the targets of RAS-RAF mutations in cancer.

Spinach is one of the dioecious plant which is considered as a model plant in genetic and molecular studies of sex determination because of its special characteristics such as low chromosome number and short life cycle. An efficient protocol for Spinacia oleracea Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation was developed. The leaf disks, roots, hypocotyls and cotyledons of this plant were inoculated with LBA4404. LBA4404 carrying pCAMBIA3301 binary vector with 35SCaMV gusint and 35SCaMV bar cassettes. Effects of two preparation condition (induction of vir genes and noninduction) were considered. Also effects of different number days of co-cultivation and pre-culture of explants were examined. After co-cultivation, the explants were transferred to regeneration medium containing 250 mg·L-1 Carbeniciline. Transient expression efficiency was calculated based on the number of blue spots per explants one week after inoculation. Based on the results of transient expression, stable transformation was carried out. After formation of callus the histochemical GUS assay was carried out on some parts of them and other parts were leaved for being regenerated.
