S-allyl-L-cysteine (SAC) is an organosulfur compound derived from aged garlic extract (AGE). Studies have reported that AGE possesses bioprotective capacity, including antidiabetic, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and antitumor effects. The present study examined the protective effects of SAC against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Ten male Wistar rats aged 11 - 12 weeks were randomly divided into two groups (five rats/group) as control and SAC groups. All rats had ad libitum access to water, and the SAC group received water containing SAC intragastrically (200 mg/kg) once daily for five consecutive weeks. In the fifth experimental week, 50% CCl4 in olive oil (1 mL/kg) was administered intraperitoneally three times a week to induce liver injury in both groups. Rats were sacrificed at 24 hours after the last CCl4 injection, and liver tissues were excised for histopathological, immunohistochemical and antioxidant analyses. AIM To assess the performance of proposed scores specific for acute-on-chronic liver failure in predicting shortterm mortality among patients with alcoholic *** We retrospectively collected data from 264 patients with clinically diagnosed alcoholic hepatitis from January to December 2013 at 21 academic hospitals in Korea. The performance for predicting short-term mortality was calculated for Chronic Liver FailureSequential Organ Failure Assessment(CLIF-SOFA), CLIF Consortium Organ Failure score(CLIF-C OFs), Maddrey'sdiscriminant function(DF), age, bilirubin, international normalized ratio and creatinine score(ABIC), Glasgow Alcoholic Hepatitis Score(GAHS), model for end-stage liver disease(MELD), and *** Of 264 patients, 32(12%) patients died within 28 d. The area under receiver operating characteristic curve of CLIF-SOFA, CLIF-C OFs, DF, ABIC, GAHS, MELD, and MELD-Na was 0.86(0.81-0.90), 0.89(0.84-0.92), 0.79(0.74-0.84), 0.78(0.72-0.83), 0.81(0.76-0.86), 0.83(0.78-0.88), and 0.83(0.78-0.88), respectively, for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-SOFA had no statistically significant differences for 28-d mortality. The performance of CLIF-C OFs was superior to that of DF, ABIC, and GAHS, while comparable to that of MELD and MELD-Na in predicting 28-d mortality. A CLIF-SOFA score of 8 had 78.1% sensitivity and 79.7% specificity, and CLIF-C OFs of 10 had 68.8% sensitivity and 91.4% specificity for predicting 28-d *** CLIF-SOFA and CLIF-C OF scores performed well, with comparable predictive ability for short-term mortality compared to the commonly used scoring systems in patients with alcoholic hepatitis.

Chimeric plants composed of green and albino tissues have great ornamental *** unveil the functional genes responsible for albino phenotypes in chimeric plants,we inspected the complete plastid genomes(plastomes)in green and albino leaf tissues from 23 ornamental chimeric plants belonging to 20 species,including monocots,dicots,and *** nine chimeric plants,plastomes were identical between green and albino ***,another 14 chimeric plants were heteroplasmic,showing a mutation between green and albino *** identified 14 different point mutations in eight functional plastid genes related to plastid-encoded RNA polymerase(rpo)or photosystems which caused albinism in the chimeric *** them,12 were deleterious mutations in the target genes,in which early termination appeared due to small deletion-mediated frameshift or single nucleotide *** was single nucleotide substitution in an intron of the ycf3 and the other was a missense mutation in coding region of the rpoC2 *** inspected chlorophyll structure,protein functional model of the rpoC2,and expression levels of the related genes in green and albino tissues of Reynoutria japonica.A single amino acid change,histidine-to-proline substitution,in the rpoC2 protein may destabilize the peripheral helix of plastid-encoded RNA polymerase,impairing the biosynthesis of the photosynthesis system in the albino tissue of *** chimera plant.

Aim:To investigate the inductive effect of water extract from Hericium erinaceum(WEHE)on interleukin-1β(IL-1β)***:A murine macrophagecell-line,RAW 264.7 was stimulated with 1 to 10 mg/L WEHE and inductions of IL-1β protein and its steady state mRNA were examined using a bioassay,Westernblotting,and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)*** inductive effect of WEHE on IL-1β gene expression was further investigatedby a chloramphenicol acetyltransferase(CAT)reporter gene assay using a tran-sient transfection with pIL-1(870 bp)-CAT where the expression of the CAT genewas regulated by a IL-1β *** electrophoretic mobility shift assay(EMSA)was also performed to examine transcription factors,nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-kB),activator protein 1(AP-1),nuclear factor interleukin-6(NF-IL6),and cAMPresponse element(CRE)/activating transcription factor(ATF).Results:WEHEinduced IL-1β production in both its mRNA and protein expression in a dose-dependent *** inductive effect of WEHE on IL-1β gene expression wasdue to the augmentation of the IL- 1β ***,EMSA showedthat WEHE markedly increased the binding activities of NF-kB,and to a lesserextent,those of AP-1 and NF-IL6 to their cognate DNA recognition sites,whereasCRE/ATF binding remained constant,all of which are known to be involved in theregulation of IL-1β gene ***:WEHE induces IL-1β expres-sion in macrophages at a transcriptional level by enhancing the activation oftranscription factors,NF-kB,NF-IL6,and AP-1.

目的 (18F-氟戊基)三苯基季磷盐(18F-FPTP)是一种新的有应用前景的心肌PET显像剂,其在心肌细胞内积聚量多且肝脏清除快。该研究小组在小鼠体内做了18F-FPTP PET显像的代谢区室分析和两项线性分析,即用于生成参数图的线性最小二乘法（LLS）和基函数法（BFM）分析。此外,还研究了动态分析的最小动态显像时间,并进行了计算机模拟。方法对心肌梗死（MI）小鼠模型（n=12）进行18F-FPTP动态PET显像（18 min）和CT显像。在左心室、正常心肌和梗死区勾画感兴趣区（ROI）。比较两室模型（速率常数k1和k2;2室2参数）和不可逆摄取的三室模型（速率常数k1-k3;3室3参数）的拟合优度,并进行部分容积和溢出校正（Vα和α=1-Va）。LLS和BFM用于基于ROI和基于体素的动力学参数估算,估算结果与相应代谢区室模型标准的基于ROI的非线性最小二乘法（NLS）结果进行比较。通过计算机模拟研究估算方法的统计学特点。结果 2室2参数模型最适于描述18F-FPTP的动力学表现。正常心肌的平均k1、k2和Va值分别是6.8ml·min-1·g-1、1.1/min和0.44,而梗死组织的分别是1.4 ml·min-1·g-1、1.1/min和0.32。动态显像10 min的数据即足够用于估算各项参数。LLS和BFM的估算结果与ROI水平的NLS的结果有很好的相关性（k1:1.22x-0.30,r2=0.90;y=1.26x+0.00,r2=0.92）。动态参数图形（αk1,k1,k2,Va）的局部分布具有生理相关性。在计算机模拟中,LLS和BFM比NLS的特征性更强。结论快速的动力学特征和心肌较高的特异性摄取使18F-FPTP能在显像开始的最初10 min动态显像内,利用2室2参数模型进行定量分析。LLS和BFM能在体素水平进行参数估算,这2种方法可用于定量评价18F-FPTP在心肌中的分布,进而研究其在不同条件、不同疾病模型和病种中进行心肌显像的表现。

We report the discovery of KMT-2020-BLG-0414 Lb,with a planet-to-host mass ratio q2=0.9-1.2×10-5=3-4 q⊕at 1σ,which is the lowest mass-ratio microlensing planet to *** with two other recent discoveries(4?q/q⊕?6),it fills out the previous empty sector at the bottom of the triangular(log s,log q)diagram,where s is the planet-host separation in units of the angular Einstein radiusθ***,these discoveries call into question the existence,or at least the strength,of the break in the mass-ratio function that was previously suggested to account for the paucity of very low-q *** to the extreme magnification of the event,Amax~1450 for the underlying single-lens event,its light curve revealed a second companion with q3~0.05 and|log s3|~1,i.e.,a factor~10 closer to or farther from the host in *** measurements of the microlens parallaxπE and the angular Einstein radiusθE allow estimates of the host,planet and second companion masses,(M1,M2,M3)~(0.3 M⊙,1.0 M⊕,17 MJ),the planet and second companion projected separations,(a⊥,2,a⊥,3)~(1.5,0.15 or 15)au,and system distance DL~1 *** lens could account for most or all of the blended light(I~19.3)and so can be studied immediately with high-resolution photometric and spectroscopic observations that can further clarify the nature of the *** planet was found as part of a new program of high-cadence follow-up observations of high-magnification *** detection of this planet,despite the considerable difficulties imposed by COVID-19(two KMT sites and OGLE were shut down),illustrates the potential utility of this program.
