Researching novel hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)catalysts with enhanced electrocatalytic activity,excellent stability,and cost-efficiency is of great significance for the large-scale hydrogen production from industrial electrolysis *** report the preparation of hierarchical mesoporous-Pt nanoparticles(HM-Pt NPs)with coral-like rough surface morphologies using environmental friendly and biocompatible fucoidan(Fu)biopolymer as a surface engineering compound and its application to electrocatalysts for *** designed HM-Pt NPs yields better mass activity of electrocatalysts compared to a commercial Pt/***-Pt NPs showed an overpotential of 33 mV at 10 mA cm-2 for the HER in 0.5 MH2SO4,which was highly comparable to that of the commercial Pt/C catalysts(29 mV).However,the amount of HM-Pt NPs loaded in glassy carbon electrode(0.033 mg mL-1)was approximately 20 times lower than that of the commercial Pt/C(0.64 mg *** HM-Pt NPs also maintained high catalytic stability with a consistent HER current density after 1000 continuous *** excellent HER performance is attributed to the improved electrochemical surface area,highly porous structure,and good surface wettability of the HM-Pt NPs,which results in enhanced electrocatalytic activity,decreased resistance at the electrode/electrolyte interface,and facile penetration of the electrolytes inside the electrode.

The intermetallic compound such as Ni_(2)Si has a brittle ***,monolithic intermetallic compounds have not yet been prepared by mechanical *** mechanical drawing of bulk CuNi_(2)Si alloy at room temperature,we observed more than 400%plastic elongation of hard and brittle Ni_(2)Si intermetallic *** calculation based on the density functional theory reveals that the fully coherent interface induces strain on the intermetallic compound surrounded by the matrix,and lowers the intrinsic stacking fault energy below the level required to break an interatomic *** new interface between the Ni_(2)Si intermetallic and Cu matrix formed by the plastic deformation is as stable as the original coherent interface formed by precipitation,and the activation energy of the newly formed interface to slip is similar to that of the Cu *** of these make plastic deformation of brittle Ni_(2)Si intermetallic possible by slip without failure.

This study attempts to develop a reproducible thin-film formation technique called vacuum-free(VF)lamination,which transfers thin films using elastomeric polymer-based laminating ***,by controlling the interface characteristics of the mediator based on the work of adhesion,VF lamination is successfully performed for various thicknesses(from 20 to 240 nm)of a conjugated photoactive material composed of poly[(2,6-(4,8-bis(5-(2-ethylhexyl-3-fluoro)thiophen-2-yl)-benzo[1,2-b:4,5-bʹ]dithiophene))-alt-(5,5-(1ʹ,3ʹ-di-2-thienyl-5ʹ,7ʹ-bis(2-ethylhexyl)benzo[1ʹ,2ʹ-c:4ʹ,5ʹ-cʹ]dithiophene-4,8-dione)](a polymer donor)and 2,2ʹ-((2Z,2ʹZ)-((12,13-bis(2-butyloctyl)-3,9-diundecyl-12,13-dihydro-[1,2,5]thiadiazolo[3,4-e]thieno[2ʹʹ,3ʹʹ:4ʹ,5ʹ]thieno[2ʹ,3ʹ:4,5]pyrrolo[3,2-g]thieno[2ʹ,3ʹ:4,5]thieno[3,2-b]indole-2,10-diyl)bis(methanylylidene))bis(5,6-difluoro-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indene-2,1-diylidene))dimalononitrile(a nonfullerene acceptor).Interestingly,the organic photovoltaic and photodetecting applications,prepared by the VF lamination process,showed superior performance compared to those of devices prepared by conventional *** is due to the overturned surface morphology,which led to enhanced charge transport ability and blocking of the externally injected ***,the reproducible VF lamination process,exploiting an adhesion-based elastomeric polymer mediator,is a promising thin-film formation technique for developing efficient next-generation organic optoelectronic materials consistent with the solution process.

A rapidly air-cooled ladle furnace slag(RA-LFS), which is a type of steelmaking slag discharged from a steel mill, was used to synthesize CaCO_3 film. The CaCO_3 film with 35 cm^2 of surface area was synthesized under atmospheric conditions, and the surface morphology of the CaCO_3 films was changed by using additives(CaCl_2 and ethylene glycol). Especially, the addition of CaCl_2 changed the surface morphology of CaCO_3 film with pore and induced new material properties, such as water adsorption. The(012) face of CaCO_3 film(calcite) was rapidly decreased by the addition of CaCl_2. The major components of RA-LFS were calcium(type of CaO, 53.9 wt%) and aluminum(type of Al_2 O_3, 37.9 wt%), and the major crystal phases of RA-LFS were C_3 S, C_(12) A_7, and C_3 A. The calcium extraction efficiency of RA-LFS was significantly increased after the CaCO_3 film synthesis. The material properties(hardness and elastic modulus) and the thermal characteristics of the CaCO_3 films were analyzed by nano-indentation and thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis. The synthesized CaCO_3 films from RA-LFS and Ca(OH)_2(reagent) showed similarities in terms of their material properties and the decomposition temperature.

Purpose:We propose In Par Ten2,a multi-aspect parallel factor analysis three-dimensional tensor decomposition algorithm based on the Apache Spark *** proposed method reduces re-decomposition cost and can handle large ***/methodology/approach:Considering that tensor addition increases the size of a given tensor along all axes,the proposed method decomposes incoming tensors using existing decomposition results without generating ***,In Par Ten2 avoids the calculation of Khari–Rao products and minimizes shuffling by using the Apache Spark ***:The performance of In Par Ten2 is evaluated by comparing its execution time and accuracy with those of existing distributed tensor decomposition methods on various *** results confirm that In Par Ten2 can process large tensors and reduce the re-calculation cost of tensor ***,the proposed method is faster than existing tensor decomposition algorithms and can significantly reduce re-decomposition *** limitations:There are several Hadoop-based distributed tensor decomposition algorithms as well as MATLAB-based decomposition ***,the former require longer iteration time,and therefore their execution time cannot be compared with that of Spark-based algorithms,whereas the latter run on a single machine,thus limiting their ability to handle large *** implications:The proposed algorithm can reduce re-decomposition cost when tensors are added to a given tensor by decomposing them based on existing decomposition results without re-decomposing the entire ***/value:The proposed method can handle large tensors and is fast within the limited-memory framework of Apache ***,In Par Ten2 can handle static as well as incremental tensor decomposition.

Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)has gained popularity as a technique to detect and quantify a specific group of target microorganisms from various environmental samples including soil,water,sediments,and *** qPCR is a very useful technique for nucleic acid quantification,accurately quantifying the target microbial group strongly depends on the quality of the primer and probe *** aspects of conducting qPCR assays have become increasingly routine and automated;however,one of the most important aspects,designing and selecting primer and probe sets,is often a somewhat arcane *** many cases,failed or non-specific amplification can be attributed to improperly designed primer-probe *** paper is intended to provide guidelines and general principles for designing group-specific primers and probes for qPCR *** demonstrate the effectiveness of these guidelines by reviewing the use of qPCR to study anaerobic processes and biologic nutrient removal *** assays using group-specific primers and probes designed with this method,have been used to successfully quantify 16S ribosomal Ribonucleic Acid(16S rRNA)gene copy numbers from target methanogenic and ammoniaoxidizing bacteria in various laboratory-and full-scale biologic *** with a good command of primer and probe design can use qPCR as a valuable tool to study biodiversity and to develop more efficient control strategies for biologic processes.

Among Al alloys,particularly 5000 series Al Mg and 6000 series Al Mg Si often used as marine materials have excellent corrosion resistance,low melting point,and thereby showing recycling availability when compared to other *** experiments were conducted to select the most suitable material for marine *** electrochemical experiments were conducted in natural *** corrosion test was performed in many methods such as anodic/cathodic polarization and Tafel analysis using multi-channel potentio/galvanostat WMPG *** results,anodic and cathodic polarization behaviors indicate the characteristics of passive state and concentration polarization by reduction reaction in dissolved oxygen,which shows excellent electrochemical *** analysis results show no significant difference but 5052-O alloy of various alloy materials indicates the lowest corrosion current ***,5052-O Al alloy presents most anti-corrosion material in marine environment.
