ITO-free silicon-integrated perovskite electrochemical cell for light-emission and light-detection

Halide perovskite light-emitting electrochemical cells are a novel type of the perovskite optoelectronic devices that differs from the perovskite light-emitting diodes by a simple monolayered ***,we develop a perovskite electrochemical cell both for light emission and detection,where the active layer consists of a composite material made of halide perovskite microcrystals,polymer support matrix,and added mobile *** perovskite electrochemical cell of CsPbBr3:PEO:LiTFsI composition,emitting light at the wavelength of 523 nm,yields the luminance more than 7000 cd/m2 and electroluminescence efficiency of 4.3 lm/*** device fabricated on a silicon substrate with transparent single-walled carbon nanotube film as a top contact exhibits 40%lower Joule heating compared to the perovskite optoelectronic devices fabricated on conventional ITO/glass ***,the device operates as a photodetector with a sensitivity up to 0.75 A/W,specific detectivity of 8.56×1011 Jones,and linear dynamic range of 48 *** technological potential of such a device is proven by demonstration of 24-pixel indicator display as well as by successful device miniaturization by creation of electroluminescent images with the smallest features less than 50μm.

Transport Across Chloroplast Membranes： Optimizing Photosynthesis for Adverse Environmental Conditions

Chloroplasts are central to solar light harvesting and photosynthesis. Optimal chloroplast functioning is vitally dependent on a very intensive traffic of metabolites and ions between the cytosol and stroma, and should be attuned for adverse environmental conditions. This is achieved by an orchestrated regulation of a variety of transport systems located at chloroplast membranes such as porines, solute channels, ion-specific cation and anion channels, and various primary and secondary active transport systems. In this review we describe the molecular nature and functional properties of the inner and outer envelope and thylakoid membrane channels and transporters. We then discuss how their orchestrated regulation affects thylakoid structure, electron transport and excitation energy transfer, proton-motive force partition, ion homeostasis, stromal pH regulation, andvolume regulation. We link the activity of key cation and anion transport systems with stress-specific signaling processes in chloroplasts, and discuss how these signals interact with the signals generated in other organelles to optimize the cell performance, with a special emphasis on Ca^2＋ and reactive oxygen species signaling.

Mouse models of epithelial ovarian cancer for preclinical studies

Epithelial ovarian cancer(EOC) is the leading cause of gynecological cancer-related mortality in the developed world. EOC is a heterogeneous disease represented by several histological and molecular subtypes. Therefore, exploration of relevant preclinical animal models that consider the heterogenic nature of EOC is of great importance for the development of novel therapeutic strategies that can be translated clinically to combat this devastating disease. In this review, we discuss recent progress in the development of preclinical mouse models for EOC study as well as their advantages and limitations.

Nanoparticles(NPs)can be transported via the nose-to-brain(N_(2)B)***,quantitative data on their spatiotemporal dynamics and regulation of the N_(2)B transport are largely *** surveyed metal oxide/hydroxide NPs as magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)contrasts for quantitative N_(2)B *** containing divalent transition metals were the only ones capable of N_(2)B *** T1-weighted(T1W)MRI,we showed that Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were readily engulfed by olfactory receptor neurons(ORNs)without disrupting olfactory sensing,we mapped their N_(2)B *** neurons,the Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were localized to the cytosol,mitochondria,vesicles,moved at mixed fast and slow axonal transport velocities intraand extra-vesicularly through *** NPs’axonal transport is dependent on neuronal activity and microtubule *** Mn_(3)O_(4)-NPs were trans-synaptically transmitted through at least four synapses across the olfactory ***-synaptic transmission of the NPs was dependent on N-type Ca^(2+)channels and NMDA receptors but blocked by GABAB receptor activation.A five-parameter Weibull signal increase/decrease model fitted to the T1W MRI data allowed for estimating kinetic parameters of Mn_(3)O_(4)-NP accumulation/*** and relative accumulation rates,but not elimination,correlated negatively with the number of synapses from ORNs,indicating a coupling of the NPs’N_(2)B transport with spontaneous neuronal ***,olfactory stimuli(2,5-dimethylpyrazine and acetophenone)significantly modulated and rerouted the Mn_(3)O_(4)-NP N_(2)B transport odor ***,the NPs’trans-synaptic transmission was impaired by aging and the onset of Parkinson’s *** data suggest new approaches to diagnostics,functional neuroimaging,controlling N_(2)B drug delivery.

Protective Composite Coatings Formed on Mg Alloy surface by PEO Using Organofluorine Materials

The results of the surface modification of magnesium alloys by plasma electrolytic oxidation（PEO） and subsequent treatment in suspension of the superdispersed polytetrafluoroethylene（sPTFE） or telomeric solution of tetrafluoroethylene（TFE） are presented. Composite coatings have been obtained by dipping with subsequent heat treatment. Electrochemical, tribological properties and wettability of protective composite coatings have been investigated. Composite coatings formed on PEO-layer by fourfold treatment of samples in sPTFE suspension possess best protective properties. The obtained coatings decrease the corrosion current density（5.4 × 10^（-11） A cm^（-2）） and wear（7.6 × 10^（-7）mm^3（Nm）^（-1））, and increase the polarisation resistance（1.7 × 10~9 cm^2） and impedance modulus（1.9 × 10~9 cm^2） by orders of magnitude in comparison with unprotected magnesium alloy and base PEO-coating. The highest value of contact angle（CA） has been obtained for coatings with triple application in telomeric solution. CA for such composite coatings attains（171 ± 2）？, as the result of multimodal roughness of the composite coating＇s surface.

simulation of thermal processes in metamaterial millimeter-wave to infrared converter for millimeter-wave imager

The main characteristics of millimeter-wave(MM-wave)image detector were simulated by means of accurate numerical modeling of thermophysical processes in a metamaterial MM-to-IR *** converter represents a multilayer structure consisting of an ultra thin resonant metamaterial absorber and a perfect emissive *** absorber consists of a dielectric self-supporting film that is metallized from both sides.A micropattern is fabricated from one *** absorption of the MM waves induces the converter heating that yields enhancement of IR emission from the emissive *** emission is detected by IR *** this contribution an accurate numerical model for simulation of the thermal processes in the converter structure was created by using COMsOL Multiphysics *** simulation results are in a good agreement with experimental results that validates the *** simulation shows that the real-time operation is provided for the converter thickness less than 3µm and time response can be improved by decreasing of the converter *** energy conversion efficiency of MM waves into IR radiation is over 80%.The converter temperature increase is a linear function of a MM-wave radiation power within three orders of the dynamic *** blooming effect and ways of its reducing are also *** model allows us to choose the ways of converter structure optimization and improvement of image detector parameters.

BACKGROUND Cleft foot is a very rare congenital anomaly,which is characterized by central rays deficiency of the *** is also known as split foot or ectrodactyly of the foot,and it is very often combined with splitting of the *** defect develops due to insufficient activity of the median apical ectodermal ridge,which leads to an increase in cell death or a decrease in cell *** to the rarity of the pathology,there are few papers on the surgical treatment of this congenital foot disease,and publications to date concern the treatment of *** sUMMARY We present a clinical case of congenital splitting of the feet and hands in a 31-year-old woman and a long-term result of foot treatment using the minimal arrangement of the Ilizarov *** patient had paternal inheritance of the *** the surgical treatment,cosmetic view and functional condition of the foot were improved and persisted two years after *** were no complications in the treatment *** The possibility of dosed control and stable fixation of the foot rays made it possible to create favorable conditions for the healing of the central wound and the closure of the segment splitting without *** long-term outcome of the treatment of foot congenital splitting using the proposed Ilizarov apparatus arrangement has shown its *** approach should be considered as an option of treatment in similar cases.

A new neutral ternary samarium complex sm（Phen）HL3 in which Phen is 1,10-phenanthroline and HL is （1,3-bis（1,3-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl）-1,3-propanedione） was synthesized. Molecular structure of this complex was determined by X-ray diffraction. Under UV-light this complex is demonstrated bright red luminescence （λmax=647 nm）, which was corresponding to the electric dipole 4G5/2→6H9/2 transition in sm3＋ ion. UV-absorption, excitation and emission spectra of the title compound were investigated.

s-shaped growth curves in fermentations and golden ratio

A model of the growth curve of microorganisms was proposed,which reveals a relation-ship with the number of a‘golden section’,1.618…,for main parameters of the growth *** treatment mainly concerns the ratio of the maximum asymptotic value of biomass in the phase of slow growth to the real value of biomass accumulation at the end of exponential growth,which is equal to thc square of the'golden section',i.e.,*** are a few relevant theorems to explain these ***,yet simpler,methods were considered for deterrmining the model parameters based on hyperbolic functions.A comparison was made with one of the alternative models to demonstrate the advantage of the proposed *** proposed model should be useful to apply at various stages of fermentation in scientific and industrial ***,the model could give a new impetus to the development of new mathematical knowledge regarding the algebra of the‘golden section'as a whole,as well as in connection with the introduction of a new equation at decomposing of any roots with any degrees for differences between constants and/or variables.
