Room-temperature Raman scattering and x-ray difraction measurements together with first principles calculations were employed to invetigate the behavior of disordered Pb(In_(1/2)Nb_(1/2))O_(3)(PIN)under pressure up to *** spectra show broad bands but a peak near the 380cm^(-1) increases its intensity with *** linewidth of the band at 550cm^(-1) also increases with pressure,while two of the Raman peaks merge above *** 16 GPa,we observe additional splitting of the band at 50cm^(-1).The pressure evolution of the diffraction patterns for PIN shows obvious Bragg peaks splitting above 16GPa;consistent with a symmetry lowering *** transition at 0.5 GPa is identified as a pseudo-cubic to orthorhombic(Pbam)structural change whereas the transition at 16GPa is istructure and associated with changes in linear compresibility and octahedral titling,and the transition at 30 GPa is associated to an orthorhombic to monoclinic ***-principles calculations indicate that the Pbam structure is ground state with antiferrodisdortion consistent with experiment.

In view of the properties of mesons in hot strongly interacting matter, the properties of the solutions of the truncated Dyson-Schwinger equation for the quark propagator at finite temperatures within the rainbow-ladder approximation are analysed in some detail. In Euclidean space within the matsubara imaginary time formalism, the quark propagator is not longer a O(4) symmetric function and possesses a discrete spectrum of the fourth component of the momentum. This makes the treatment of the Dyson-Schwinger and Bethe-Salpeter equations conceptually different from the vacuum and technically much more involved. The question whether the interaction kernel known from vacuum calculations can be applied at finite temperatures remains still open. We find that, at low temperatures, the model interaction with vacuum parameters provides a reasonable description of the quark propagator, while at temperatures higher than a certain critical value Tc the interaction requires stringent modifications. The general properties of the quark propagator at finite temperatures can be inferred from lattice QCD (LQCD) calculations. We argue that, to achieve a reasonable agreement of the model calculations with that from LQCD, the kernel is to be modified in such a way as to screen the infra-red part of the interaction at temperatures larger than Tc . For this, we analyse the solutions of the truncated Dyson-Schwinger equation with existing interaction kernels in a large temperature range with particular attention on high temperatures in order to find hints to an adequate temperature dependence of the interaction kernel to be further implemented in the Bethe-Salpeter equation for mesons. This will allow investigating the possible in medium modifications of the meson properties as well as the conditions of quark deconfinement in hot matter.

Due to specific environmental conditions, headwater catchments located on volcanic slopes and valleys are characterized by distinctive hydrology and sediment transport patterns. However, lack of sufficient monitoring causes that the governing processes and patterns in these areas are rarely well understood. In this study, spatiotemporal water discharge and sediment transport from upstream sources was investigated in one of the numerous headwater catchments located in the lahar valleys of the Kamchatka Peninsula Sukhaya Elizovskaya River near Avachinskii and Koryakskii volcanoes. Three different subcatchments and corresponding channel types （wandering rivers within lahar valleys, mountain rivers within volcanic slopes and rivers within submountain terrains） were identified in the studied area. Our measure- ments from different periods of observations between years 2012-2014 showed that the studied catchment was characterized by extreme diurnal fluctuation of water discharges and sediment loads that were influenced by snowmelt patterns and high infiltration rates of the easily erodible lahar deposits. The highest recorded sediment loads were up to 9-104 mg/L which was related to an increase of two orders of magnitude within a one day of observations. Additionally, to get a quantitative estimate of the spatial distribution of the eroded material in the volcanic substrates we applied an empirical soil erosion and sediment yield model - modified universal soil loss equation （mUSLE）. The modeling results showed that even if the applications of the universal erosion model to different non-agricultural areas （e.g., volcanic catchments） can lead to irrelevant results, the mUSLE model delivered might be acceptable for non-lahar areas of the studied volcanic catchment. Overall the results of our studyincrease our understanding of the hydrology and asso- ciated sediment transport for prediction of risk manage- ment within headwater volcanic catchments.

In the far field of the intensity distribution of the beam delivered by a two-stage transient–collisional excitation X-ray laser(XRL), a non-expected interference pattern that is stable from shot to shot has been discovered. It is demonstrated that the interference is caused by the emergence of an imaginary source in the amplifying plasma, which is phase matched to the radiation of the generator. The observed phenomenon is called an X-ray coherent mirage. To explain the obtained results, a new theoretical approach is developed. The basic essential conditions for formation of the X-ray mirage are formulated, and possible applications are discussed. This paper details the experiments, including the formulation of the necessary and sufficient conditions for formation of the X-ray mirage, and possible applications are discussed.

Data on the mercury concentration in freshwater and marine fish and seafood on the territory of Russia are presented. The level and pattern of the fish and seafood consumption in various regions of Russia are found from the analysis of open statistics. Regions with the maximum and minimum consumption of fish products are established. mercury intake from these products in a human organism is calculated. It is shown that at the current level and pattern of the diet in Russia fish cannot be a source of high mercury concentrations in a human organism.

In the gaps between cells within continuous groups of rolling mills,as a result of local temperature and mechanical factors,longitudinal elastic stress may arise in the strip;this stress is the sum of uniform and self-balancing *** components affect metal flow in the deformation *** to the St Venant principle,the influence of the self-balancing component declines with increasing distance from the point of *** longitudinal and transversal distribution of the self-balancing elastic stress in the strip was analyzed as well as the maximum distance between the deformation source and the point of elastic stress in the strip at which the self-balancing component still affects the plastic deformation of the metal,i.e.,the extent of the influence zone of the self-balancing *** results of this analysis will be useful for a design of new flatness control methods and devices.
