The Fabry-Pérot interferometer,a fundamental component in optoelectronic systems,offers interesting applications such as sensors,lasers,and *** this work,we show a tunable Fabry-Pérot cavity consisting of tunable Sagnac loop reflectors(SLRs)and phase shifters based on electrostatic microelectromechanical(MEMS)*** fabrication process of the device is compatible with the standard wafer-level silicon photonics fabrication *** electrostatic actuation mechanism provides well-balanced,scalable pathways for efficient tuning *** extinction ratio of the continuously tunable SLRs’reflectivity is larger than 20 *** 2πphase shifting is achieved,and response times of all the components are less than 25μ*** actuators have extremely low static power,measuring under 20 fW and the energy needed for tuning is both below 20 pJ.

Solution infiltration is a popular technique for the surface modification of solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)***,the synthesis of nanostructured SOFC cathodes by infiltration is a tedious process that often requires several infiltration and high temperature(≥500℃)calcination ***,fabricating large-area nanostructured cathodes via infiltration still requires serious ***,we propose a facile and scalable urea assisted ultrasonic spray infiltration technique for nanofabrication of SOFC *** is demonstrated that by using urea as a precipitating agent,the calcination after each infiltration cycle can be omitted and the next infiltration can be performed just after a drying step(≤100℃).Finally,the precipitates can be converted into a desired catalyst phase in single calcination thus,a nanostructured cathode can be fabricated in a much faster *** is also shown that the low calcination temperature of the cathode(≤900℃)can produce highly durable SOFC performance even without employing a Ce_(0.9)Gd_(0.1)O_(2)(GDC)diffusion barrier layer which provides the ease of SOFC *** coupling with an ultrasonic spray technique,the urea assisted infiltration can be scaled up for any desired cathode ***_(0.6)Sr_(0.4)Co_(0.2)Fe_(0.8)O_(3) nanolayered cathode was fabricated and it was characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)*** showed the formation of a nanolayer cathode just after 5 cycles of the urea assisted infiltration while the XRD and TEM confirmed the phase and stoichiometric uniformity of the 100 nm cathode *** effectiveness of the newly developed technique was further verified by the stable operation of a GDC buffer layer free SOFC having an active cathode area of 25 cm^(2) during a 1200 h durability *** research outcomes propose urea assisted ultrasonic spray infiltration as a facile,scalable,and commercially viable method

YBa2Cu3O7-x(YBCO) films were fabricated on an LAO substrate using the trifluoroacetic acid-metal organic deposition(TFA-MOD) method and the effects of the humidity and heat treatment temperatures on the microstructure,degree of texture and critical properties of the films were *** order to understand the combined effects of the humidity and the calcining and firing temperatures on critical properties,heat-treatment was performed at various temperatures with the other processing variables *** films were calcined at 400-430 ℃ and fired at 750-800 ℃ in a 0-12.1% humidified Ar-O2 *** texture was determined by pole-figure *** amount of the BaF2 phase was effectively reduced and a sharp and strong biaxial texture was formed under a humidified atmosphere,which led to increased critical *** addition,the microstructure varied significantly with firing temperature but changed little with calcining *** highest IC of 40 A/cm-width,which corresponds to JC value of 1.8 MA/cm2,was obtained for the films fired at 775 ℃(in 12.1% humidity) after calcining at 400-430 ℃.It is likely that the highest IC value is due to the formation of a more pure YBCO phase,c-axis grains,and a denser microstructure.

A study was undertaken for the prediction of runoff flow from 0.8 ha field-sized agricultural watershed in South Korea using Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) sub-daily. The SWAT model with sub-daily configuration predicted flow from the watershed within the range of acceptable accuracy. The SWAT sub-daily simulations were carried out for a total of 18 rainfall events, 9 each for calibration and validation. Overall trend and extent of matching simulated flow for the rainfall events in 2007–2008 with measured data during the calibration process were coefficient of determination (R 2) value of 0.88 and Nash and Sutcliffe Efficiency (E NS) value of 0.88. For validation, R 2 and E NS values were 0.9 and 0.84, respectively. Whereas R 2 and E NS values for simulation results using daily rainfall data were 0.79 and −0.01, respectively, that were observed to be out of acceptable limits for the model simulation. The importance of higher time resolution (hourly) precipitation records for flow simulation were evaluated by comparing R 2 and E NS with 15 min, 2 h, 6 h and 12 h precipitation data, which resulted in lower statistics with increases in time resolution of precipitation data. The SWAT sub-daily sensitivity analysis was performed with the consideration of hydraulic parameter and was found as in the rank order of CN2 (curve number), ESCO (soil evaporation compensation factor), GW_DELAY (ground water delay time), ALPHA_BF (base flow alpha factor), GWQMN (a threshold minimum depth of water in the shallow aquifer required for return flow to occur), REVAPMN (minimum depth of water in shallow aquifer for re-evaporation to occur), LAT_TIME (lateral flow travel time) respectively. These sensitive parameters were evaluated at 10% higher and lower values of the parameters, corresponding to 70.5% higher and 23.2% lower in simulated flow out from the SWAT model.
