The advancement of renal replacement therapy has significantly enhanced the survival rates of patients with end-stage renal disease(eSRD)over ***-ever,this prolonged survival has also been associated with a higher likelihood of cancer diagnoses among these patients including breast *** cancer treatment typically involves surgery,radiation,and systemic therapies,with ap-proaches tailored to cancer type,stage,and patient ***,renal replacement therapy complicates systemic therapy due to altered drug clearance and the necessity for dialysis *** review emphasizes the need for opti-mized dosing and administration strategies for systemic breast cancer treatments in dialysis patients,aiming to ensure both efficacy and ***,ch-allenges in breast cancer screening and diagnosis in this population,including soft-tissue calcifications,are highlighted.

Crohn＇s disease is a chronic inflammatory boweldisease that is also associated with extra-intestinal complications, such as arthritis, erythema nodosum,deep venous thrombosis, and uveitis. Sickle Cell Anemia(SCA)is a prevalent genetic condition in Saudi Arabia,particularly in the Jazan *** study’s purpose was to assess the prevalence of de-pression among individuals with SCA in this area and to identify the factors associated with this *** study involved 391 adult participants,all patients in the hematology center of Prince Mohammed bin Nasser Hospital(PMNH).Data was collected through an anonymous interview questionnaire–the Arabic version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)–between March–May *** questionnaire covered socio-demographic information and variables related to the participant’s SCA history,such as pain levels,frequency of pain,hospitalization duration,and frequency of blood *** variables underwent Chi-square and One-way ANOVA testing,followed by multivariate *** study found a 42%prevalence of depression among the SCA *** significantly linked with heightened depression levels included being widowed or divorced,experiencing frequent and severe pain,and longer duration of hospital *** educational level of at least a bachelor’s degree was also a significant *** study reveals a high prevalence of depression among SCA patients in the Jazan *** underscores the need for policymakers to educate both physicians and patients about the importance of mental health in SCA *** study also highlights the need for more research into the specific causes and effects of depressive symptoms in SCA patients to inform the creation of effective management plans.

Signals used for species identity ought to be highly stereotyped so as to facilitate immediate recognition by conspecifics. It is surprising therefore to find variability in putative species signature displays. The brown anole Anolis sagrei has a high degree of variability in its signature bobbing display. In this study we collected descriptive data on variability in the temporal structure of wild brown anole bobbing patterns, finding that no two displays analyzed had the same temporal structure, and we also tested whether wild brown anoles prefer the signature display over an alternate display pattern by using mechanical robot playbacks in the field. As a response metric we assessed whether or not the lizards showed social responses （pushup, dewlap extension, or head-nod） in response to the robotic presentations. we found that the lizards responded slightly more to the signature than to the alternate pattern, providing support for the idea that despite the variability seen in displays, the signature pattern is meaningful to them. we tested two other independent variables： speed of the display and elevation of the robot during its display, neither of which was significant. Dewlap extensions were given predominantly by adult males and were more likely to be given in the breeding season than the nonbreeding season. Pushups and head-nods were given equally by males and a combined class of females and juveniles, and were not seasonal. Head-nods increased after the robot turned off, suggesting that they may be used in a conversational turn-taking style during communication .

BACKGROUND:Volume resuscitation has only been demonstrated to be effective in approximately fifty percent of *** remaining patients do not respond to volume resuscitation and may even develop adverse outcomes(such as acute pulmonary edema necessitating endotracheal intubation).we believe that point-of-care ultrasound is an excellent modality by which to adequately predict which patients may benefi t from volume *** ReSOURCeS:we performed a search using PubMed,Scopus,and *** following search terms were used:fluid responsiveness,ultrasound,non-invasive,hemodynamic,fluid challenge,and passive leg *** was given to clinical trials and review articles that were most relevant to the topic of assessing a patient’s cardiovascular ability to respond to intravenous fl uid administration using ***:Point-of-care ultrasound can be easily employed to measure the diameter and collapsibility of various large vessels including the inferior vena cava,common carotid artery,subclavian vein,internal jugular vein,and femoral *** parameters are closely related to dynamic measures of fluid responsiveness and can be used by providers to help guide fluid resuscitation in critically ill ***:Ultrasound in combination with passive leg raise is a non-invasive,costand time-effective modality that can be employed to assess volume status and response to fluid *** sonographic studies have focused on the evaluation of large veins such as the inferior vena cava,and internal jugular vein.A number of recently published studies also demonstrate the usefulness of evaluating large arteries to predict volume status.

AIM:To establish the hospitalized prevalence of severe Crohn's disease(CD) and ulcerative colitis(UC) in Wales from 1999 to 2007;and to investigate long-term mortality after hospitalization and associations with social deprivation and other socio-demographic ***:Record linkage of administrative inpatient and mortality data for 1467 and 1482 people hospitalised as emergencies for ≥ 3d for CD and UC,*** main outcome measures were hospitalized prevalence,mortality rates and standardized mortality ratios for up to 5 years follow-up after ***:Hospitalized prevalence was 50.1 per 100 000 population for CD and 50.6 for *** hospitalized prevalence of CD was significantly higher(P emales(57.4) than in males(42.2),and was highest in people aged 16-29 years,but the prevalence of UC was similar in males(51.0) and females(50.1),and increased continuously with *** hospital-ized prevalence of CD was slightly higher in the most deprived areas,but there was no association between social deprivation and hospitalized prevalence of *** was 6.8% and 14.6% after 1 and 5 years follow-up for CD,and 9.2% and 20.8% after 1 and 5 years for *** both CD and UC,there was little discernible association between mortality and social deprivation,distance from hospital,urban/rural residence and ***:CD and UC have distinct demographic *** higher prevalence of hospitalized CD in more deprived areas may reflect higher prevalence and higher hospital dependency.

In their recent Journal of environmental Sciences publication,Wang and colleagues provide field evidence that industrial activities can contribute substantially to atmospheric carbonyl concentrations（Wang et al.,2015）.These results may helpto explain underestimations of carbonyl emissions in currently available emission inventories,and highlight the need for an improved understanding of industrial sources of this class of compounds.

In Zanzibar, from the start of the pandemic in March 2020 to the time of sampling in December 2020, SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence data was limited. we conducted a seroprevalence study to evaluate the magnitude of SARS-CoV-2 exposure among healthcare workers, school children, and people who attended general markets in Zanzibar. The objectives of the study were to analyse the total antibodies from selected higher-risk population groups in order to determine magnitude in SARS CoV-2 exposure. Blood samples were collected from eligible and consented participants (adults and children), and their serum was analyzed for total antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 using eLISA. A questionnaire was used to collect participants’ demographic and clinical data. The overall SARS-CoV-2 seroprevalence across all age groups was 33%, and a higher seroprevalence was observed in the 40 - 49 years’ age group relative to other ages as well as in those who attended markets. A runny nose (18.8% of participants) was the most frequently reported SARS-CoV-2 infection-related symptom. Multivariable analysis showed significantly higher odds of infection in people living in urban districts. The findings provide insight into SARS-CoV-2 infection among school children, health workers, and people who attended markets in Zanzibar in the early stages of the pandemic. exposure in these groups might have been influenced by infection and prevention strategies taken by the government, as well as shopping behavior, school overcrowding, and population density in urban settings. The study had methodological limitations, including cross-sectional design. Further, well-designed, longitudinal studies are recommended to understand exposure and transmission at a population level.
