BACKGROUND Clopidogrel is a platelet aggregation inhibitor used for the management of cardiovascular *** antiplatelet therapy decreases cardiovascular events after successful coronary drug-eluting stenting,it increases the risk of gastrointestinal(GI)*** 20%of the patients who take clopidogrel exhibit resistance to the *** SUMMARY We report the first case of a small bowel bleeding ulcer in an 86-year-old man with clopidogrel *** had a history of taking clopidogrel due to unstable *** was no evidence of bleeding in the stomach,duodenum,or colon through upper and lower GI *** abdominal computed tomography showed the extravasation of radiocontrast media at the *** of unstable vital signs,emergency surgery was *** ulcers with inflammation were found in the *** pathologic findings revealed simple *** VerifyNow P2Y12 test showed clopidogrel *** year after changing to aspirin,capsule endoscopy was performed and the small bowel ulcers were *** Small bowel ulcers and bleeding due to clopidogrel are not very common,but the prevalence is expected to increase in older age patients with risk factors despite clopidogrel resistance.

Patient-reported ejaculatory function and satisfaction in men with lower urinary tract symptoms/benign prostatic hyperplasia

This study aimed to investigate perceived ejaculatory function/satisfaction before treatment for lower urinary tract symptoms （LUTS）/benign prostatic hyperplasia （BPH） and to identify associations between specific categories of ejaculatory dysfunctions （EjDs） and LUTS. A total of 1574 treatment-naive men with LUTS/BPH were included in this study. All patients underwent routine evaluation for LUTS/BPH including the International Index of Erectile Function and a 5-item questionnaire developed to assess ejaculatory volume/force/pain/satisfaction/latency time. Patients who had sexual intercourse over the past 4 weeks were classified as sexually active group. A total of 783 patients were categorized as sexually active group. Decreased ejaculatory volume and force were reported by 53.4% and 55.7% of 783 sexually active men, respectively, There was a strong correlation between ejaculatory volume and force. Ejaculatory pain/discomfort, premature ejaculation （PE）, and delayed ejaculation （DE） were reported in 41,0%, 16.3%, and 41.4% of the patients, respectively. Over 40.0% of men without decreased ejaculation volume/force were satisfied with ejaculatory function, whereas approximately 6.0% of men with decreased volume/force were satisfied with ejaculatory function. About 30.0% of men with decreased volume/force had orgasmic dysfunction, while approximately 10.0% of men without decreased volume/force did. Decreased ejaculatory volume or force was associated with LUTS severity after adjusting for other influential factors including testosterone level, erectile function, and prostate size on ultrasonography, but PE or DE or ejaculatory pain/discomfort was not. In conclusion, a considerable portion of men with LUTS/BPH appear to have a variety of EjDs. Ejaculatory volume/force and satisfaction/orgasm do not always appear to be concordant. Ejaculatory volume or force is independently associated with LUTS severity, whereas PE or DE or ejaculatory pain/discomfort is not.

Friction Behavior of Magnetorheological Fluids with Different Material Types and Magnetic Field Strength

Magnetorheological （MR） fluid is a type of a smart material that can control its mechanical properties under a magnetic field. Iron particles in MR fluid form chain structures in the direction of an applied magnetic field, which is known as MR effect, resulting in variation of stiffness, shear modulus, damping and tribological characteristics of MR fluid. As MR effect depends on the density of particles in the fluid or the strength of a magnetic field, the experiments are conducted to evaluate the friction property under reciprocating motion by changing the types of MR fluid and the strength of a magnetic field. The material of aluminum, brass, and steel are chosen for specimen as they are the most common material in mechanical applications. The surfaces of specimen are also observed by optical microscope before and after experiments to compare the surfaces with test conditions. The comparing results show that the friction coefficient increases as the strength of a magnetic field increases in regardless of types of MR fluid or the material. Also the density of particle in MR fluid affects the friction characteristic. The results from this research can be used to improve the performance of mechanical applications using MR fluid.

Inhibition of CD82 improves colitis by increasing NLRP3 deubiquitination by BRCC3

CD82 is a transmembrane protein that is involved in cancer suppression and activates immune cells;however, information on the NLRP3 inflammasome is limited. Herein, we show that although CD82 suppressed the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in vivo and in vitro, CD82 deficiency decreased the severity of colitis in mice. Furthermore, two binding partners of CD82, NLRP3 and BRCC3, were identified. CD82 binding to these partners increased the degradation of NLRP3 by blocking BRCC3-dependent K63-specific deubiquitination. Previous studies have shown that CD82-specific bacteria in the colon microbiota called Bacteroides vulgatus (B. vulgatus) regulated the expression of CD82 and promoted the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. Accordingly, we observed that B. vulgatus administration increased mouse survival by mediating CD82 expression and activating NLRP3 in mice with colitis. Overall, this study showed that CD82 suppression reduced the pathogenesis of colitis by elevating the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome through BRCC3-dependent K63 deubiquitination. Based on our findings, we propose that B. vulgatus is a novel therapeutic candidate for colitis.

Allele-specific PCR genotyping of the HSP70 gene polymorphism discriminating the green and red color variants sea cucumber (Apostichopus japonicus)

Color variation is a well-known feature of sea cucumbers （Apostichopus japonicus）, which are classified into three groups based on their colors of red, green and black. It is also one of the most important traits related to how they taste, and it thereby affects their market price. Attempts were made to identify single-nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） and to analyze differences associated with SNP genotypes between green and red color variants using HSP70 as the target gene. The HSP70 gene, which is found universally in organisms from bacteria to humans, is one of the most evolutionarily conserved genes and the most widely studied biomarker of stress response. DNA fragments of 1074 bp covering a partial sequence of the sea cucumber HSP70 gene, were amplified from both red and green variants, and subsequently analyzed for the presence of SNPs. Twenty-seven polymorphic sites in total, including heterozygous sites, were observed. Of these, six sites were found to be significantly different SNP genotypes between green and red variants. Furthermore, PCR with an internal primer designed to include an allelespecific SNP at the 3＇ end （site 443） showed differentiation between the two variants, 100% and 4.2% amplification in green and red variants, respectively. The validated SNPs may serve as informative genetic markers that can be used to distinguish variants at the early developmental stage, prior to color differentiation.

Friction and wear of textured surfaces produced by 3D printing

Surface texture patterns have great potential for improving tribological performance in terms of reducing friction and *** most common methods for surface texturing are laser and injection *** 3D printing method is also used to build parts,patterns,and molds that feature fine details for a wide range of applications because texture manufacturing by 3D printing is faster,more flexible,and less expensive than traditional *** date,there has been no research on textured surfaces produced by 3D ***,a new fabrication method using 3D printing to improve friction and wear properties is a topic worth *** this study,a reciprocating friction tester was used to evaluate the friction and wear properties of different surface textures produced by 3D *** surface of specimens was examined by electron microscope and scanning electron microscope before and after the *** results show that surface texturing can be applied to 3D printed parts to improve their friction and wear performance.

Optimal design considering structural efficiency of compressed natural gas fuel storage vessels for automobiles

The shape and thickness of the dome were investigated with the aim of optimizing the type II CNG storage vessels by using a finite element analysis technique. The thickness of the liners and reinforcing materials was optimized based on the requirement of the cylinder and dome parts. In addition, the shape of the dome, which is most suitable for type II CNG storage vessels, was proposed by a process of review and analysis of various existing shapes, and the minimum thickness was established in this sequence: metal liners, composite materials and dome parts. Therefore, the new proposed shape products give a mass reduction of 4.8 kg(5.1%)
