T lym.hocytes, neutrophils, a.d other leukocytes enter the irrita.ed skin, resulting in epiderm.0} kera.inocyte hyperpla.ia. va.cula. hyperpla.ia. ecta.ia. a.d T lym.hocyte, neutrophil other form. of leukocyte infiltra.ion. a.m.of the Work: the study a.m.d to investiga.e the role of IL-37 a.d VEGF gene expression in the pa.hogenesis of psoria.is in Egyptia. pa.ients. m.thodology: Polym.ra.e cha.n rea.tion techniques (PCR) were a.plied to detect VEGF in the skin hom.gena.es of psoria.is pa.ients. In a.dition, the elIZa.technique wa. a.plied to investiga.e IL-37 in skin hom.gena.es. One hundred ca.es ha.e been divided into two groups: 50 hea.thy volunteers a. the group I hea.thy control;50 psoria.is pa.ients a. group II. PCR rea.-tim. technology wa. a.sessed through extra.ted DNa.sa.ples for VEGF a.plifica.ion in skin hom.gena.e. Result: Our results revea.ed tha. psoria.is pa.ients significa.tly ha. a.substa.tia. reduction in IL-37 com.a.ed to the control group (p Conclusion: There is a.significa.t inverse a.socia.ion between IL-37 a.d VEGF in psoria.is pa.ients. Study findings revea.ed tha. IL-37 gene expression decrea.es while VEGF gene expression increa.es in psoria.ic individua.s. Such a.m.a.urem.nt m.0} be beneficia. in determ.ning the severity of the condition, a. well a. ta.ing into considera.ion of the disea.e’s dia.nosis.
