Skin cancer diagnosis is difficult due to lesion presentation variability. Conventionalmeth.ds struggle to manuallyextract features and capture lesions spatial and temporal variations. Th.s study introduces a deep learning-basedConvolutional and Recurrent Neural Network (CNN-RNN) model with.a ResNet-50 arch.tecture wh.ch.usedas th. feature extractor to enh.nce skin cancer classification. Leveraging synergistic spatial feature extractionand temporal sequence learning, th. model demonstrates robust performance on a dataset of 9000 skin lesionph.tos from nine cancer types. Using pre-trained ResNet-50 for spatial data extraction and Long Sh.rt-TermMemory (LSTM) for temporal dependencies, th. model ach.eves a h.gh.average recognition accuracy, surpassingprevious meth.ds. Th. compreh.nsive evaluation, including accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, underscoresth. model’s competence in categorizing skin cancer types. Th.s research.contributes a soph.sticated model andvaluable guidance for deep learning-based diagnostics, also th.s model excels in overcoming spatial and temporalcomplexities, offering a soph.sticated solution for dermatological diagnostics research.

Bioch.r-compost-based controlled-release nitrogen fertilizer intended for an active microbial community

Nitrogen(N) fertilizers in agriculture suffer losses by volatilization of N to th. air, surface runoff and leach.ng into th. soil, resulting in low N use efficiency(NUE)( 50%) and raising severe environmental pollutions. Controlledrelease nitrogen fertilizers(CRNFs) can control th. release of N nutrients to NUE in crop production. Different meth.ds were used to develop new ***, different CRNF tech.ologies are still underdeveloped due to inadequate controlling on N releasing time and/or unsustainable diffusion. Th. study on th. influences of CRNF processing parameters on microbial conditions are lacking wh.n th. CRNFs composed of various bio-ingredients such.as bioch.r, composts, and biowaste. Th. complexity of processing meth.ds, material biodegradability, and oth.r ph.sical properties make current CRNFs of questionable value in agricultural production. Th.s research.aims to develop a novel bioch.r-compost-based controlled-release urea fertilizer(BCRUF) to preserve microbial properties carried by th. compost. Th. BCRUF was synth.sized by pelletizing th. 50:50(dry, wt/wt) mixture of bioch.r and compost. BCRUF was loaded with.urea and th.n spray-coated with.polylactic acid(PLA). Th. releasing time of two types of BCRUFs, coated and uncoated with.PLA, for 80% of N release in water was up to 6 h.at th.ee different temperatures(4, 23, and 40 °C), compared to conventional urea fertilizer and commercial environmentally smart N(ESN) fertilizer. Th. releasing time of coated BCRUF for 80% N release in soil was up to 192 h.8 days). Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) analysis revealed th.t no new functional groups were found in th. release solution, indicating no new ch.mical h.zards generated. Th. differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)tests also verified th.t its th.rmal stability could be up to 160 °C. Th. microbe populations in th. BCRUF pellets were reduced after th. pelleting and drying processes in BCRUF fabrication, but a few bacteria can endure in t
