2,2’-Bithiophene-5-carboxylic acid (BTA) thin-films on platinum (Pt) electrodes were electrochemically prepared in acetonitrile solution containing 0.1 m tetrabutylammonium perchlorate (TBAP) and 0.05 m BTA. These films were complexes with several metal ions such as Cu2+, Ag+ and Co2+. Their structural characteristics were com.a.ed with those of powder complexes chemically prepared from BTA and the corresponding metal ion. IR and XPS techniques reveal that the film complexes with metal ions have the same structures as the corresponding powder complexes. The electrocatalytic activity of BTA film-metal ions has been investigated toward ascorbic acid (AA) oxidation and com.a.ed to that obtained on a free BTA film. BTA film-metal ions exhibit good catalytic proprieties and better detection of AA than a free BTA film. This new propriety allows these films to be used as electrochemical sensors. The complexity of calcareous deposits processes in a marine environment results in simultaneous effects of the following parameters： temperature, polarization potential, interfacial pH, chemical composition, etc.. The comprehension of these processes implies studies in artificial seawater and a follow-up of the parameters by voltarnperometry and chronoamperometry. Calcareous deposits electrochemically are very often used to follow up the evolution of scale deposition in desalination circuits. Again, the scale formation is brought about by electrochemical reduction of dissolved oxygen. The hydroxyl ions formed on the metallic surface engender a rise of interfacial pH which causes calcareous deposition （CaCOs and mg（OH）2）. This reaction goes with reaction of hydrogen evolution which could disrupt the formed deposit, A study is carried out in a solution of seawater ASTm without calcium.a.d without magnesium （so that the deposit will not be formed） on a titanium rotating disk electrode monitored between 300 and 1000 rpm. Study shows that Levich criterion is checked for the four values of selected potential on the diffusion plateau and a very cathodic polarization potential and a high temperature favors hydrogen current rate.

This paper presents a model of cancer diagnosis using principal electrical parameters of tumor cells such as the relative permittivity and the conductivity. The proposed model involves a square microstrip antenna and breast phantom comprising a tumor cell. The radiation properties of the designed antenna at the ISm bands, such as the Return Loss (RL), the current density, the electrical field and the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) are exploited for diagnosing purposes. The Ansoft HFSS (13.0) simulated results show that the difference in terms of the RL, the current density, the electrical field and the SAR is higher than 2 dB, 40 A/m2, 100 V/m.a.d 20 W/kg respectively, once the tumor exists inside the breast model. This proposed technique in turn can be exploited to distinguish malignant cells inside the women breast in earlier stages as com.a.ed to other traditional techniques such as mammography, X-ray, ultra-sound, tomography and mRI.

Form error m.a.urement is a critical exercise in providing m.a.ures for the quality control in the precision manufacturing *** m.a.uring machine （Cmm） is one of the automated systems used in the accurate and precise dimensional m.a.urements and geometrical *** paper aims to study the effect of dynamic original unforeseeable errors at different undulations per revolution （UPR） of standard artifact m.a.urement using selected two types of Cmm touchtriggering ***-type and stylus-speed parameters were adopted and utilized throughout the course of *** results are analyzed using fast Fourier transformation to obtain foreseeable geometrical errors due to Cmm machine structure and stylus scanning *** results of experiment successfully indicate that the number of UPR plays an important role in determining the Cmm.a.curacy level of the roundness m.a.urement *** specific error equations for stylus system.a.d machine structure responses have been postulated and analysed to empirically predict the accuracy of PRISmOBridge-Cmm-type at National Institute for Standards （NIS） in egypt.

Backgrounds: Recent advances in post Kidney Transplantation (KT) care, have led to a dramatic improvement in short-term outcomes in order to achieve transplantation tolerance;including the ideal tool for clinical monitoring & new therapeutic line. This study was undertaken to analyze the CD62L in Kidney Transplant Recipients (KTRs) and to investigate its efficacy as a marker of good graft survival. methods: Fifty pediatric KTRs and 12 healthy controls were included in the study, the frequency of T cell activation markers;CD62L was m.a.ured with flow cytometry after renal transplantation. Clinical, laboratory, immunosuppressive therapy data and graft function of transplant recipients were collected and correlated with their CD62L peripheral blood percentage. Results: The circulating CD62L% was significantly more in transplant recipients than controls (44.74% ± 17.45% vs. 33.36% ± 11.54%, p = 0.02). CD 62L% was more frequent in recipients of living related donors (p = 0.05), positively correlated with donor age (p = 0.04, r = -0.29*) and CD 4% (p = 0.000, r = 0.615). CD26L% did not show significant association with acute rejection or chronic rejection (p = 0.432, p = 0.91 respectively) or with graft function (serum creatinine or eGFR, p = 0.086, p = 0.988 respectively) or immunosuppressive medications. Conclusion: Peripheral CD62L% is increased after KT than healthy controls, however, it cannot reflect either clinical (serum creatinine and eGFR) or pathological renal graft injury. CD62L surface marker needs more analysis for its potential diagnostic and therapeutic implications as a Treg cell activation marker.

The BRCA1 （Breast Cancer Anti-estrogen resistance-I）, early-onset gene is expressed in cells of breast and other tissue and helps to repair damaged DNA or destroy cells in cases DNA cannot be repaired. When the BRCA1 gene is damaged, then the DNA is not repaired appropriately and this enhances the risk for cancer. Fluorescence and UV-visible thermal studies were performed for WT （wild type） and mT （mutant type targets） full systems. The target DNAs used were in the form of short oligonucleotides, genomic DNA. The probe system was used for detection of WT and SNP alleles of human BRCAI [（170-190, G---~T） and （290-310, G---~T）]. The Cy5 dye attached to a probe oligonucleotide （10-mer） undergoes a fluorescence intensity change on hybridisation of the probe to the WT com.a.ed to mT targets. Our results indicate that the system consisting of the target sequence and the one probe oligonucleotides bearing the Cy5 dye assemble correctly at the specified target. Once the full system （probe and target） is arranged under suitable conditions, a red-shift emission and change in fluorescence intensity are seen at a suitable wavelength. Thermal studies also showed significant differences in T,, between WT and mT. The results suggest that the differences in the fluorescence intensity at 665 nm.a.d the spectrophotometric T,,,cs） for the WT and mT can be attributed to the type of binding of the probe to the target. The systems were sensitive to single nucleotide polymorphisms and this may help in high throughput applications in genetic testing and molecular diagnostics.

Cancer is cell fleeing from death by blocking the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways of cell death programs. In the present work, the experimental formula was designed to remove these blockers. It was applied on 120 Swiss albino mice which were inoculated intraperitoneally and subcutaneously with Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma cells;1 × (106) cell/mouse. The activity of the cell death programs of the tumor was detected by m.a.uring the volume of Ascites fluid, counting the number of dead cancer cells, m.a.uring the size of the tumor, detecting the positive reaction of caspase enzyme in cancer cells and presence of macrophages and apoptotic bodies in tumor tissue. The experimental formula succeeded in removing the blockers of the cell death program in cancer cells returning the cell death program to work again.

Background: High levels of mCL-1 and BCL-2 proteins have been found in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukem.a.(CLL), and inversely correlated with response to treatment. BCL-2/Bax ratio is the main director of apoptosis in CLL. The study aimed to clarify the prognostic role of mCL-1, BCL-2 and BCL-2/ Bax ratio in B-CLL. Patients & method: Estimation of mCL-1, BCL-2 and Bax expressions by a flow cytometry in 45 B-CLL patients and the prognostic value of these markers were correlated with other well-known established prognostic markers and treatment response. Results: mCL-1 was expressed in 60% of cases while BCL-2 was expressed in 82.2% of cases. mCL-1 expression was significantly high in male gender, short lymphocyte doubling time (LDT), and high expression of CD 38 (p β2m, CD38 expression), low ZAP-70 expression, splenomegaly and higher Rai stage were significantly increased in patients with high expression of BCL-2 (p β2m, high C-D38 expression, low ZAP-70 expression, the poor cytogenetic and splenomegaly in patients with high expression of BCL-2/ Bax ratio (p In conclusion: mCL-1, BCL-2 expressions and BCL-2/Bax ratio could be useful potential predictive and prognostic markers in B-CLL.
