Comparative studies on numerical sensitivity of different scenarios of enhanced oil recovery by water-alternating-gas(CO_(2))injection

Enhanced oil recovery by CO_(2) injection technology(CO_(2)-EOR)plays a crucial role in enhancing oil production and the permanent sequestration of anthropogenic CO_(2) in depleted oil ***,the availability of CO_(2) in oil field locations and its mobility in contrast with reservoir fluids are prime challenges in CO_(2)-*** cost of CO_(2) and its availability at the oil fields has prompted investigations on efficient injection of CO_(2) at the fields to achieve the best sweep efficiency *** strategies such as water-alternating-gas(WAG),simultaneous vertical and horizontal WAG,simultaneous water injection into the aquifer and vertical WAG,water and gas injection simultaneously but separately(SS-WAG),and water and gas injection simultaneously but not separately(SNS-WAG)play a significant role,as well as the purity of CO_(2).In this work,the significance of the above criteria was investigated indi-vidually and in *** coupled sequence of injection rate,soaking time,WAG ratio,and purity of injected CO_(2) for enhancement of oil production were delineated.A realistic reservoir simulation model conceptualizing the CO_(2)-EOR system with five spot injection patterns was developed by the company *** history-matched model that was developed was used to investigate the sensitivity of the coupled effects to the criteria listed above on oil *** investigations quantitatively emphasized that purity and soaking time of CO_(2) have an inverse effect in the oil production rate and that SNS-WAG resulted in a better oil production rate than SS-WAG.

Synthesis, spectral, optical and anti-inflammatory activity of complexes derived from 2-aminobenzohydrazide with some rare earths

Three new metal complexes derived from Er（Ⅲ）, Dy（Ⅲ） and Zr（Ⅳ） with 2-aminobenzohydrazide （ABH） were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, ^1H-NMR, ES-MS and transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. The morphology and the particle size were determined by TEM. The results showed that the ligand acted as neutral bi-dentate coordinating to the metal ions through the carbonyl oxygen and amidic amino nitrogen. The aromatic amine group remained inert towards coordination. The optical band gap was measured and found to be 3.3, 3.5 and 4.3 eV for Er（Ⅲ）, Dy（Ⅲ） and Zr（Ⅳ）, respectively. The optical band gap values indicated a semi-conducting nature of the investigated complexes. The anti-inflammatory and analgesic activities of the tested compounds were determined and compared with standard meloxicam.

在电子商务飞速发展的今天,其过程中暴露出的隐私保护问题也逐渐凸显出来,并正在成为国内外炙手可热的研究课题。当前,电子商务领域消费者隐私信息被公开、个人数据资料未经授权被收集和利用等违法行为屡禁不止。因此维护消费者隐私权益,整顿电子商务行业不良之风已成为十分必要的举措。本文以当下热议的电子商务隐私保护问题为出发点,从平台和用户两方面开展相关研究。首先,本文通过了解中国电子商务平台如何实施数据隐私的七项原则,对比调查了中国六家比较有代表性的电商平台实施的隐私政策、用户协议以及条款与条件(T&C)。总体看来,研究表明这些平台已完全执行了PIPL的全部核心准则,其隐私政策也验证了这些平台全力对用户所共享的信息进行保护。但是仅从隐私政策的研究上无法确定这些平台是否真正根据法律法规要求销毁或者删除用户数据,为此我们开展了第二项研究。第二项研究旨在调查消费者对负面在线隐私体验的反馈,本次研究的样本为中国一所大型高校的486名学生用户。通过对数据进行整理和分析,结果表明,用户隐私泄露的现象说明目前电子商务方面存在很大的用户隐私保护问题,对用户的隐私保护没有遵循平台所声明的隐私政策,或者对于隐私政策没有完全遵守,存在漏洞,出现消费者隐私信息被公开、个人数据资料被未经授权收集等问题。本次研究的目标是调查顾客对于隐私规则的认识。通过研究,我们发现维护消费者隐私权益,整顿电子商务行业不良之风已成为十分必要的举措,加强电子商务中的个人隐私信息保护,对于尊重和保护消费者隐私权,推动电子商务行业的良性发展,进而推动中国社会经济转型有着基础性的重要意义,同时也是广大消费者盼望之所系。通过对现有电子商务隐私保护策略的研究,总结归纳出经验与教训,最终探索一条适合中国电子商务发展的可持续道路。诚然,中国的隐私保护工作尚有很多需要改进的地方。不过我们相信,只要政府、电子商务企业、消费者三者共同努力,电子商务隐私保护问题的解决定将迎来曙光,国内电子商务行业定将走上健康的可持续发展道路。

Composition analysis and antimicrobial activity of essential oil from leaves of Laurus nobilis grown in Oman

Traditionally,Laurus nobilis is used for the treatment of earaches and skin rashes as well as *** most common technique to isolate the oil is hydro-distillation and *** investigation presented in this paper was aimed to unravel the antimicrobial activity and chemical composition of essential oil in the leaves of *** grown in *** essential oil was extracted from the leave of the selected plant species by hydro distillation using Clevenger type *** antimicrobial assay was done by disc diffusion methods against three bac-terial strains,Staphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli,and one fungal strain:Candida *** isolated essential oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).The percentage yield of the essential oil was 0.064%(w/w).The essen-tial oil was found actively against the applied bacterial and fungal *** highest activity was found against *** and the lowest was against ***,and the order was ***>***>*** essential oil was also active against the fungus *** range of inhibition zones was 6-14 *** results of GC-MS analysis showed(E)-𝛽-caryophyllene to be the major component about 59.62%.Other major components included𝛼-selinene(14.03%),𝛼-humulene(8.65%),𝛽-selinene(4.99%),and𝛼-pinene(4.98%).In addition,several minor com-ponents were found in the essential oil of *** on the experimental results,it showed that the plant species that grown in Oman were a potential source of therapeutic *** con-clusion,the essential oil and the plant could be used as natural and potential therapeutic agents to treat earaches,skin rashes,and rheumatism.

Recurrent Support and Relevance Vector Machines Based Model with Application to Forecasting Volatility of Financial Returns

In the recent years, the use of GARCH type (especially, ARMA-GARCH) models and computational-intelligence-based techniques—Support Vector Machine (SVM) and Relevance Vector Machine (RVM) have been successfully used for financial forecasting. This paper deals with the application of ARMA-GARCH, recurrent SVM (RSVM) and recurrent RVM (RRVM) in volatility forecasting. Based on RSVM and RRVM, two GARCH methods are used and are compared with parametric GARCHs (Pure and ARMA-GARCH) in terms of their ability to forecast multi-periodically. These models are evaluated on four performance metrics: MSE, MAE, DS, and linear regression R squared. The real data in this study uses two Asian stock market composite indices of BSE SENSEX and NIKKEI225. This paper also examines the effects of outliers on modeling and forecasting volatility. Our experiment shows that both the RSVM and RRVM perform almost equally, but better than the GARCH type models in forecasting. The ARMA-GARCH model is superior to the pure GARCH and only the RRVM with RSVM hold the robustness properties in forecasting.

Rat-bite is uncommon worldwide, excluding developing countries. The history of a bite is usually missed if not meticulously asked for in history, proper exposure and examination. Today we report a case of culture-negative rat-bite fever with poly septic arthritis resembling a rheumatoid arthritis-like picture in a 64-year-old gentleman. The presentation at first imitated an arthritis-like picture which was polyarthritis affecting the right ankle, right knee, right wrist, right proximal interphalangeal, left metacarpophalangeal and proximal interphalangeal joints.

Effects of Chemical Reaction on the Unsteady Free Convection Flow past an Infinite Vertical Permeable Moving Plate with Variable Temperature

Analytical solutions for the effect of chemical reaction on the unsteady free convection flow past an infinite vertical permeable moving plate with variable temperature has been studied. The plate is assumed to move with a constant velocity in the direction of fluid flow. The highly nonlinear coupled differential equations governing the boundary layer flow, heat and mass transfer are solved using two-term harmonic and non-harmonic functions. The parameters that arise in the perturbation analysis are Prandtl number (thermal diffusivity), Schmidt number (mass diffusivity), Grashof number (free convection), modified Grashof number, Chemical reaction parameter (rate constant), Skin friction coefficient and Sherwood number (wall mass transfer coefficient). The study has been compared with available exact solution in the literature and they are found to be in good agreement. It is observed that: The concentration increases during generative reaction and decreases in destructive reaction. The concentration increases with decreasing Schmidt number. The effect of increasing values of K leads to a fall in velocity profiles. The velocity decreases with increasing values of the Schmidt number. An increase in modified Grashof number leads to an increase in velocity profiles. The skin friction increases with decreasing Schmidt number. In generative reaction the skin friction decreases and in destructive reaction the skin friction increases.

Numerical Computation of Hard Excitation in an Autocatalytic Biochemical System

An autocatalytic biochemical system in the presence of recycling enzyme is solved numerically using two numerical methods based on finite difference schemes. The first method is the well known Euler method which is an explicit method, whereas the second method is implicit. Although the implicit method, method 2, is first-order accurate in time it converges to the fixed point（s） for large time step, L Numerical results show the existence of hard excitation and birhythmicity.

Spontaneous metastatic clostridial myonecrosis is a rare condition caused by Clostridium *** underlying lesion is usually either a colonic neoplasm or *** authors reported a 67-year-old female who presented with acute abdomen secondary to a perforated sigmoid cancer and who developed gas gangrene in her right ***,despite all resuscitative measures,she *** authors reviewed the literature;the diagnosis of metastatic myonecrosis was based on a high index of suspicion,development of bullae containing gram-positive rods,and subcutaneous crepitus(although this was a late sign).Treatment involves aggressive fluid replacement,high doses of intravenous penicillin,high concentration of oxygen,and surgical debridement,and/or *** mortality remains very high,despite all the above measures.
