Selective laser melting(SLM)has provided an alternative to the conventional fabrication techniques for Ti-6Al-4V alloy parts because of its flexibility and ease in creating complex ***,this study investigated the effects of the process parameters and heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V fabricated using *** influences of various process parameters on the relative density,tensile properties,impact toughness,and hardness of Ti-6Al-4V alloy parts were *** employing parameter optimization,a high-density high-strength Ti-6Al-4V alloy was fabricated by SLM.A relative density of 99.45%,a tensile strength of 1188 MPa,and an elongation to failure of 9.5%were achieved for the SLM-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V alloy with optimized *** effects of annealing and solution aging heat treatment on the mechanical properties,phase composition,and microstructure of the SLM-fabricated Ti-6Al-4V alloy were also *** ductility of the heat-treated Ti-6Al-4V alloy was *** applying a heat treatment at 850℃ for 2 h,followed by furnace cooling,the elongation to failure and impact toughness were found to be increased from 9.5%to 12.5%,and from 24.13 j/cm^(2)to 47.51 j/cm^(2),respectively.

With the help of network densification,network coverage as well as the throughput can be improved via ultra-dense networks(UDNs).In tandem,Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)communications have recently garnered much attention because of their high agility as well as widespread *** this paper,a cognitive UAV is proposed for wireless nodes power pertaining to the IoT ground ***,the UAV is included in the IoT system as the source of power for the wireless nodes as well as for resource *** quality of service(QoS)related to the cognitive node was considered as a utility function based on pricing scheme that was modelled as a non-cooperative game theory in order to maximise users’net utility ***,an energy efficiency non-cooperative game theory power allocation with pricing scheme(EE-NGPAP)is proposed to obtain an efficient power control within IoT wireless ***,uniqueness and existence of the Nash equilibrium have been demonstrated mathematically and through *** results show that the proposed energy harvest algorithm demonstrated considerable decrease in transmitted power consumption in terms of average power reduction,which is regarded to be apt with the 5Gnetworks’***,the proposed algorithm requires around 4 iterations only to converge to NE which makes the algorithm more suitable in practical heterogeneous scenarios.

Erectile response is centrally and peripherally regulated by androgens. The original insights into the mechanisms of action of androgens were that androgens particularly exert effects on libido and that erections in response to erotic stimuli were relatively androgen-independent. It was shown that sexual functions in men required androgen levels at the low end of reference values of testosterone. So it seemed that testosterone was not useful treatment for men with erectile difficulties, particularly following the advent of the phosphodiesterase type 5 （PDE5） inhibitors. However, approximately 50% of those treated with PDE5 inhibitors discontinue their treatment. A number of recent developments shed new light on testosterone treatment of erectile dysfunction （ED） in aging men. （1） A recent insight is that, in contrast to younger men, elderly men might require higher levels of testosterone for normal sexual functioning. （2） Several studies have indicated that PDE5 inhibitors are not always sufficient to restore erectile potency in men, and that testosterone improves the therapeutical response to PDE5 inhibitors considerably. （3） There is growing insight that testosterone has profound effects on tissues of the penis involved in the mechanism of erection and that testosterone deficiency impairs the anatomical and physiological substrate of erectile capacity, reversible upon androgen replacement. The synthesis of PDE5 is upregulated by androgens, and the arterial inflow into the penis is improved by giving androgen. The above invites a re-examination of the merits of giving testosterone to aging men with ED. The beneficial effects of PDE5 inhibitors may only be optimally expressed in a eugonadal environment. （Asian j Androl 2006 jan; 8： 3-9）

Stiff Person Syndrome (SPS) is a rare autoimmune disease related to the lack of inhibition of excitatory neurons in the central nervous system leading to multiple motor dysfunction and symptoms due to uncontrolled motor neuron firing. The pathophysiology of the disease is not completely understood;however, high titers of Glutamic acid decarboxylase antibodies (anti-GAD Ab) have been found in such patients, which leads to its high association with the disease. We present a case of a 52-year-old female with a 20-year history of ongoing gait and balance issues. She is diagnosed with multiple conditions, including stiff person syndrome (GAD+), spinocerebellar ataxia with epilepsy, systemic lupus erythematosus, type 1 diabetes mellitus, IgA deficiency, hypothyroidism, and pernicious anemia. She presented in our institution with a history of a recent fall from a wheelchair. We review the case presentation and association of anti-GAD antibodies with stiff person syndrome and its treatment.

AIM To assess nutritional recovery,particularly regarding feeding jejunostomy tube(FjT)utilization,following upper gastrointestinal resection for malignancy. METHODS A retrospective review was performed of a prospectively-maintained database of adult patients who underwent esophagectomy or gastrectomy(subtotal or total)for cancer with curative intent,from january 2001 to june 2014. Patient demographics,the approach to esophagectomy,the extent of gastrectomy,FjT placement and utilization at discharge,administration of parenteral nutrition(PN),and complications were evaluated. All patients were followed for at least ninety days or until *** The 287 patients underwent upper GI resection,comprised of 182 esophagectomy(n=107 transhiatal,58.7%; n=56 Ivor-Lewis,30.7%)and 105 gastrectomy [n=63 subtotal(SG),60.0%; n=42 total(TG),40.0%]. 181 of 182 esophagectomy patients underwent FjT,compared with 47 of 105 gastrectomy patients(99.5% vs 44.8%,P jT placement more often following gastrectomy than esophagectomy(n=11,23.4% vs n=7,3.9%,P=0.0001). This paper presents a new thermomechanical model of friction stir welding which is capable of simulating the three major steps of friction stir welding （FSW） process, i.e., plunge, dwell, and travel stages. A rate-dependent johnson- Cook constitutive model is chosen to capture elasto-plastic work deformations during FSW. Two different weld schedules （i.e., plunge rate, rotational speed, and weld speed） are validated by comparing simulated temperature profiles with experimental results. Based on this model, the influences of various welding parameters on temperatures and energy generation during the welding process are investigated. Numerical results show that maximum temperature in FSW process increases with the decrease in plunge rate, and the frictional energy increases almost linearly with respect to time for different rotational speeds. Furthermore, low rotational speeds cause inadequate temperature distribution due to low frictional and plastic dissipation energy which eventually results in weld defects. When both the weld speed and rotational speed are increased, the contribution of plastic dissipation energy increases significantly and improved weld quality can be expected.

Friction stir welding （FSW） is a solid-state joining process, where joint properties largely depend on the amount of heat generation during the welding process. The objective of this paper was to develop a numerical thermomechanical model for FSW of aluminum--copper alloy AA2219 and analyze heat generation during the welding process. The thermomechanical model has been developed utilizing ANSYS APDL. The model was verified by comparing simulated temperature profile of three different weld schedules （i.e., different combinations of weld parameters in real weld situations） from simulation with experimental results. Furthermore, the verified model was used to analyze the effect of different weld parameters on heat generation. Among all the weld parameters, the effect of rotational speed on heat generation is the highest.
