In this research, a gamma ray sensor (The Mole) was used to get the natural radionuclides concentration in situ in the surface layer of cultivated soils. For sand, silt and clay predictions, an adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) was performed to predict such fractions (Sugeno model). The inputs to the system were Potassium (40K), Uranium (238U), Thorium (232Th) and Cesium (137Cs) concentrations. It is concluded that ANFIS structure is acceptable in the prediction of sand, silt and clay considering the studied inputs. Test results and predicted outcomes were compared and acceptable correlations were obtained.

BACKGROUND Healthy vestibular system adjusts balance during static and dynamic *** is important for normal development(standing up and walking).Vestipulopathies(central and peripheral)are common complications of diabetes in adult *** studies are scare in children with type 1 diabetes(T1D).AIM To assess saccular function of otolith organ in children with T1D and predictors for its *** Cervical vestibular evoked myogenic potential(cVEMP)was used for objective *** The study included 40 patients(boys=15;girls=25).Patients had mean age of 13.63±1.50 years,duration of diabetes of 5.62±2.80 years,frequent attacks of diabetic ketoacidosis(55%)and hypoglycemia(30%),hyperlipidemia(20%),hypertension(12.5%)and peripheral neuropathy(40%).Dizziness was found in 10%.Compared to healthy children(n=25),patients had prolonged cVEMP P1 and N1 latencies and reduced P1-N1 *** cVEMP abnormalities were found in 60%(vs 25%for unilateral abnormalities).Higher frequencies and severe vestibulopathies were found with chronic diabetes of>5 years,hemoglobin A1c values>7%,frequent diabetic ketoacidosis and hypoglycemic attacks and presence of *** analyses showed that predictors for prolonged P1 latencies and reduced P1-N1 amplitudes were only chronic diabetes(>5 years){odds ratio(OR)=2.80[95%confidence interval(CI):1.80–5.33],P=0.01;OR=3.42(95%CI:2.82–6.81)}and its severity(hemoglobin A1c>7%)[OR=3.05(95%CI:2.55–6.82),P=0.01;OR=4.20(95%CI:3.55–8.50),P=0.001].CONCLUSION Dysfunction or injury of the saccular macula and its pathways is prevalent in children with *** glycemic control is important to prevent diabetes related vestipulopathies.

圆盘犁的阻力和能耗需求被认为是与推土机功率正确匹配的重要因素。该研究通过与多元线性回归(MLR)模型的对比,测试了使用自适应神经模糊推理系统(ANFIS)来确定圆盘犁的阻力和能耗需求的可能性及其性能。通过实地试验和各种文献,共获得了133种数据模式。从这133个数据点中,随机选取了121个作为训练集,其余12个用于模型验证。输入变量为犁深度、犁速、土壤质地指数、初始土壤含水率、初始土壤体积密度、圆盘直径、圆盘角度和倾斜角度,输出变量为圆盘犁的阻力。ANFIS使用了四个从属函数:三角形从属函数、通用钟形从属函数、梯形从属函数和高斯曲线从属函数。对ANFIS和MLR建模结果的评估显示,三角形成员函数比其他函数执行效果更好。当将ANFIS模型预测与测量值进行比较时,阻力平均相对误差为-1.97%。ANFIS模型与其他方法进行比较的结果表明,圆盘犁的阻力和能耗需求可以得到令人满意的预估。

In this paper,waste clay was cured with ethyl acetate to obtain treated clay(TC),which was modified with gallic acid to obtain a low-cost sorbent that was characterized by EDX,SEM,and FTIR ***(Ⅵ)adsorption was achieved using the batch adsorption method on the TC and gallic acid-modified treated clay(GMTC).The maximum uptakes of U(Ⅵ)on TC and GMTC were 37.2 and 193.0 mg/g,*** U(Ⅵ)adsorption kinetics on the TC and GMTC sorbents were well-fitted by the pseudo-second-order mechanism,and the adsorption equilibrium followed the Langmuir *** optimum parameters were applied to El Sela leach solution for uranium recovery.

There has been an increasing interest in marine oysters (order: Petridae) in recent years because their numbers are declining in many parts of the world and also because they are used as monitors of pollution. The present study describes the microscopic structure of gills as viewed by light and electron microscopy in two locations selected in alexandria coast, Eastern Harbor (E.H.) and El Asafra. The specimens in the E.H. represent the presence of extracellular mineralized granules.

The date clam, Lithophaga lithophaga is a popular edible bivalve. It was collected from three different locations (Abo-Quir, Miami and El-Mex) along the coast of alexandria-Egypt to determine the effect of two heavy metals as copper (Cu) and cadmium (Cd). The three organs were selected: gill, mantle and digestive gland. The enzymatic change is correlated with the concentration of metals. The present results suggest that Miami water is less polluted with Cu and Cd as compared to the two other locations. The physicochemical parameters are not significant among the three locations. Water of Abu-Quir and El-Max may be hazardous to bivalves. The order of levels of Cu and Cd was: gill > digestive gland > mantle. The present study illustrated that, in Abu Quir, there was a high positive correlation between Cd and Succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) as r = 0.969 whereas Cu and SDH as r = -0.91.
