With the rapid development of the Internet of Things(IoTs),wearable sensors are playing an increasingly important role in daily monitoring of personal health and *** signal-to-noise-ratio has become the most critical performance factor to *** enhance it,on the one hand,good sensing materials/devices have been employed;on the other hand,signal amplification and noise reduction circuits have been ***,most of these devices and circuits work in an active sampling mode,requiring frequent data acquisition and hence,entailing high-power *** this scenario,a flexible and wearable event-triggered sensor with embedded signal amplification without an external power supply is of great ***,we report a flexible two-terminal piezotronic n-p-n bipolar junction transistor(PBjT)that acts as an autonomous and highly sensitive,current-and/or voltage-mediated pressure *** PBjT is formed by two back-to-back piezotronic diodes which are defined as emitter-base and collectorbase *** force exertion on the emitter side,as a result of the piezoelectric effect,the emitter-base diode is forward biased while the collector-base diode is reverse *** to the inherent BjT amplification effect,the PBjT achieves record-high sensitivities of 139.7 kPa^(-1)(current-based)and 88.66 kPa^(-1)(voltage-based)in sensing *** PBjT also has a fast response time ofjT advances the state of the art not only in terms of sensitivity but also in regard to being self-driven and autonomous,making it promising for pressure sensing and other IoT applications.

Ultrafine bubbles and low doses of gamma irradiation had a positive effect on seed *** research tested the effectiveness of ultrafine bubbles(UFB)water and gamma irradiation for improving the viability and vigor of Albizia chinensis(Osbeck)*** that had been stored for four years.A completely randomized two-factor experiment,i.e.,UFB water and gamma irradiation treatments,were used to determine the best seed *** UFB water treatment had a significant effect on all seed germination parameters;the gamma irradiation treatment did not have a significant effect on improving the viability and vigor of the seeds,with a very low initial germination(11.7%).Soaking the seeds in UFB water for 30 min gave the best germination(51.3%).These improvements also occurred in other germination parameters such as germination rate,germination value,radicle length and vigor *** UFB water treatment has the potential to improve the germination of seeds with low physiological qualities.

Background:Assessment and quantification of skeletal muscle within the aging population is vital for diagnosis,treatment,and injury/disease *** clinical availability of assessing muscle quality through diagnostic ultrasound presents an opportunity to be utilized as a screening tool for function-limiting ***,relationships between muscle echogenicity and clinical functional assessments require authoritative ***,we aimed to(a)synthesize the literature to assess the relationships between skeletal muscle echogenicity and physical function in older adults(-60 years),(b)perform pooled analyses of relationships between skeletal muscle echogenicity and physical function,and(c)perform sub-analyses to determine between-muscle ***:CINAHL,Embase,MEDLINE,PubMed,and Web of Science databases were systematically searched to identify articles relating skeletal muscle echogenicity to physical function in older ***-of-bias assessments were conducted along with funnel plot ***-analyses with and without sub-analyses for individual muscles were performed utilizing Fisher’s z transformation for the most common measures of physical ***’s z was back-transformed to Pearson’s r for ***:Fifty-one articles(n=5095,female=»2759,male=»2301,72.5§5.8 years,mean§SD(1 study did not provide sex descriptors))were extracted for review,with previously unpublished data obtained from the authors of 13 *** rectus femoris(n=34)and isometric knee extension strength(n=22)were the most accessed muscle and physical qualities,*** relationship between quadriceps echogenicity and knee extensor strength was moderate(n=2924,r=-0.36(95%confidence interval:-0.38 to-0.32),p<0.001),with all other meta-analyses(grip strength,walking speed,sit-to-stand,timed up-and-go)resulting in slightly weaker correlations(r:-0.34 to-0.23,all p<0.001).Sub-analyses determined minimal differences in predictive ability

B4C reinforced Al composites are widely used as neutron absorbing materials(NAMs)due to excellent neutron absorbing efficiency,however,such NAMs exhibit poor high-temperature *** meet the requirement for structure-function integration,NAMs with enhanced high-temperature mechanical properties are *** this work,a novel(B4 C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al NAM with netlike distribution of Al_(2)O_(3)was fabricated by powder metallurgy method and subjected to high-temperature tensile creep *** was shown that the creep resistance was enhanced by several orders of magnitude via the addition of only2.1 vol.%netlike-distributed Al_(2)O_(3).(B_(4)C+Al_(2)O_(3))/Al exhibited high apparent stress exponents ranging from 16 to 25 and high apparent activation energy of 364 kj/*** creep behaviour could be rationalized using the substructure-invariant model and its rupture behaviour could be described by the Dobes-Milicka equation.

川藏铁路是我国铁路网的重要组成部分,该区域山洪、滑坡等地质灾害多发,而降水是诱发这些灾害的重要原因,因此该区域降水的准确模拟是至关重要的.本文改进了西南区域业务预报模式云微物理方案中不确定性较大的物理过程,包括云滴活化、云水自动转化、云雨碰并和混合蒸发过程.原方案中,不同大小的云水含量对应着相同的云滴浓度,与实际不符,造成云滴尺度过大,相关物理过程速率(比如云水自动转化率)过快,导致降水高估.新方案克服了云滴尺度过大的问题,云水自动转化和云雨碰并过程均与随机收集方程更为接近,云滴蒸发机制更符合云中实际物理过程.基于新旧方案,模拟了川藏铁路沿线2021年汛期的多次降水过程,利用地面观测和卫星反演资料,评估了模拟结果.新方案对云物理量的模拟变得更为合理,使原方案对液水路径和液滴半径的模拟偏差从2倍减少到1倍以内,并显著缓解了原方案对降水强度和范围的高估情况,降水的平均均方根误差减小22%.本文所得结果能够为提高模式在该区域预报降水和灾害防控能力提供科学参考.

Effect of Grain Boundary Engineering on the Work Hardening Behavior of AL6XN Super‑Austenitic Stainless Steel

To examine the influence of grain boundary engineering(GBE)on the work hardening behavior,the tensile tests were carried out on the non-GBE and GBE AL6XN super-austenitic stainless steel(ASS)samples with a comparable grain size at two strain rates of 10^(-2)s^(-1)and 10^(-4)s^(-1).The evolution of deformation microstructures was revealed by transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and quasi-in situ electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)*** results show that the influence of GBE on the mechanical properties of AL6XN super-ASS is mainly manifested in the change of work hardening *** the early stage of plastic deformation,GBE samples show a slightly lowered work hardening rate,since the special grain boundaries(SBs)of a high fraction induce a higher dislocation free path and a weaker back stress;however,with increasing plastic deformation amount,the work hardening rate of GBE samples gradually surpasses that of non-GBE samples due to the better capacity of maintainable work hardening that is profited from the inhibited dislocation annihilation by *** a word,the enhanced capacity of sustained work hardening effectively postpones the appearance of necking point and thus efficaciously ameliorates the ductility of GBE samples under the premise of little changes in yield strength and ultimate tensile strength.
