Comparison of the activities of binder-added and binder-free Mo/HZsM-5 catalysts in methane dehydroaromatization at 1073 K in periodic CH_4-H_2 switch operation mode

Three industry-supplied, well-shaped Mo/HZsM-5 catalysts, two binder-added and one binder-free, were tested for the first time in methane dehydroaromatization to benzene at 1073 K and 10000 mL/（g·h） in periodic CH4-H2 switch operation mode, and their catalytic performances were compared with those of three self-prepared, binder-free powder Mo/HZsM-5 catalysts. XRD, 27Al NMR, sEM, BET and NH3-TPD characterizations of all the catalysts show that the zeolites in the two binder-added catalysts are comparable to those in the three binder-free powder catalysts in crystallinity, crystal size, micropore volume and Br{／o}nsted acidity. The test results, on the other hand, show that the catalytic performances of the two binder-added catalysts are worse than those of the four binder-free catalysts on both catalyst mass and zeolite mass bases. Then, TPO and BET measurements of all spent samples were conducted to get a deep insight into the negative effects of binder addition, and the results suggest that the binder additives functioned mainly to enhance the polyaromatization of formed aromatics to coke on their external surfaces and consequently lower the catalysts＇ benzene formation activity and selectivity.

Phosphorus doped silicon-carbon composite particles were synthesized through a DC arc plasma ***(siH4) and methane(CH4) were introduced into the reaction chamber as the precursor of silicon and carbon,***(PH3) was used as a phosphorus dopant *** of synthesized particles were carried out by scanning electron microscopy(sEM),X-ray diffractometry(XRD),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPs) and bulk resistivity *** properties were investigated by cyclic test and electrochemical voltage spectroscopy(EVs).In the experimental range,phosphorus doped silicon-carbon composite electrode exhibits enhanced cycle performance than intrinsic silicon and phosphorus doped *** can be explained that incorporation of carbon into silicon acts as a buffer matrix and phosphorus doping plays an important role to enhance the conductivity of the electrode,which leads to the improvement of the cycle performance of the cell.

FEM analysis for hot rolling process of AM60 alloy

The rolling of AM60 sheets for 50%reduction was analyzed with DEFORM to investigate the hot deformation process. The simulated results show that the sheet velocities at the entrance(21 mm/s) and at the exit(37 mm/s) are less and larger than roll velocity,*** the entrance to the neutral point,the velocity at the sheet surface is greater than that at the middle point of sheet in thickness,while that from the neutral point to the exit shows the opposite *** effective strain of the sheet increases from the entrance to the exit due to the continuous reduction in *** addition,the effective strain at the sheet surface reaches to 1.0 and is larger than that of 0.8 at the middle point of *** difference of effective strain in thickness direction has a much stronger effect on the recrystallized fraction than on the recrystallized grain *** minimum temperature of 347℃is obtained at the surface contacting directly with roll and the maximum temperature 388℃at the middle point of sheet in thickness.

Nickel-iron nanocrystalline alloys with different compositions and grain sizes were fabricated by electroplating for MEMs devices. The iron content of the deposits was changed by varying the nickel/iron ion ratio in the electrolyte. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis was applied for measuring the strength of the texture and grain size of the deposits. The nickel/iron atom ratio of the deposits was analyzed by EDs. The hardness of the alloys was evaluated by Vickers hardness indenter. The internal stress of the deposits was measured by thin film stress measurement using stoney's formula. surface morphology and roughness were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (sEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Hardness and internal stress mechanism of the electroplated structure as a function of Fe ion content and current density were revealed. With increasing the iron content, the hardness and internal stress of the deposits increase. An excellent correlation between the increase in the internal stress and the loss of (200) texture were found.

Dynamic transformation(DT)of austenite(γ)to ferrite(α)in the hot deformation of various carbon steels was widely ***,the nature of DT remains unclear due to the lack of quantitative analysis of stress partitioning between two phases and the uncertainty of local distribution of substitu-tional elements at the interface in multi-component carbon steels used in the previous ***,in the present study,a binary Fe-Ni alloy withα+γduplex microstructure in equilibrium was prepared and isothermally compressed inα+γtwo-phase region to achieve a quantitative analysis of microstruc-ture evolution,stress partitioning,and thermodynamics during DT.γtoαDT during isothermal compres-sion andαtoγreverse transformation on isothermal annealing under unloaded condition after deforma-tion were accompanied by Ni *** lattice strains during thermomechanical processing were obtained via in-situ neutron diffraction measurement,based on which the stress partitioning behavior betweenγandαwas discussed by using the generalized Hooke’s law.A thermodynamic framework for the isothermal deformation in solids was established based on the basic laws of thermodynamics,and it was shown that the total Helmholtz free energy change in the deformable material during the isothermal process should be smaller than the work done to the deformable *** the present thermody-namic framework,the microstructure evolution in the isothermal compression of Fe-14Ni alloy was well explained by considering the changes in chemical free energy,plastic and elastic energies,and the work done to the *** addition,the stabilization of the softαphase in Fe-14Ni alloy by deformation was rationalized since theγtoαtransformation decreased the total Helmholtz free energy by decreasing the elastic and dislocation energies.
