OBJECTIVE:To elucidate the mechanism of the nourishing Yin and purging fire Chinese herbal mixture(NYPF)in delaying light-induced premature puberty in ***:Twenty-one days old female spragueDawley rats were randomly assigned to normal group(N),long light exposure group(L),NYPF and normal saline group(Ns).Rats in the L,NYPF and Ns groups were exposed to 16 h:350 lux light/8 h:dark,while rats in the N group were exposed to 12 h:50 lux light/12 h:*** and normal saline was administered to the rats in the NYPF group or Ns group,respectively,from day *** rats in every group were sacrificed at 9 *** day 28(P28),on the day when rat's vulva opened in the L group(L-VO),on the day when the first estrous interphase occurred in rats of L group(L-E1),and on the day when the second estrous interphase occurred in rats of L group(L-E2),***:On day 34,all rats in the L group,80%of rats in the Ns group,40%of rats in the N group,and 20%of rats in the NYPF group showed complete opening of the *** P28,m RNA level of hypothalamic kisspeptin(Kiss-1)in the L group was significantly higher than that in the N group(Ps in the L and Ns groups had significantly lower hypothalamic argininephenylalanine-amide(RFamide)-related peptide 3(RFRP-3)m RNA levels than those in the N group(Ps RFRP-3 m RNA level was significantly higher in the NYPF group than that in the L group(Ps groups was significantly higher than that of the N group(Pstradiol(E2)level of the NYPF group was significantly lower than that of the N and Ns groups(Pss-1 m RNA level in the L and Ns groups was significantly higher than that in the N and NYPF groups(Ps hypothalamic RFRP-3 m RNA level in the L,NYPF,and Ns groups was significantly lower than that in the N group(Ps groups was significantly higher than that of the N group(P<0.01),wher

Manipulating the expression of synaptic plasticity of neuromorphic devices provides fascinating opportunities to develop hardware platforms for artifi-cial ***,great efforts have been devoted to exploring biomimetic mechanisms of plasticity simulation in the last few *** progress in various plasticity modulation techniques has pushed the research of synaptic electronics from static plasticity simulation to dynamic plasticity modulation,improving the accuracy of neuromorphic computing and providing strategies for implementing neuromorphic sensing ***,several fascinating strategies for synap-tic plasticity modulation through chemical techniques,device structure design,and physical signal sensing are *** chemical techniques,the underly-ing mechanisms for the modification of functional materials were clarified and its effect on the expression of synaptic plasticity was also *** on device structure design,the reconfigurable operation of neuromorphic devices was well demonstrated to achieve programmable neuromorphic ***,integrating the sensory units with neuromorphic processing circuits paved a new way to achieve human-like intelligent perception under the modulation of physical signals such as light,strain,and ***,considering that the relevant technology is still in the basic exploration stage,some prospects or development suggestions are put forward to promote the development of neuromorphic devices.

An Encode-and CRT-Based scalability scheme for Optimizing Transmission in Blockchain

Blockchain technology has witnessed a burgeoning integration into diverse realms of economic and societal ***,scalability challenges,characterized by diminished broadcast efficiency,heightened communication overhead,and escalated storage costs,have significantly constrained the broad-scale application of *** paper introduces a novel Encode-and CRT-based scalability scheme(ECss),meticulously refined to enhance both block broadcasting and ***,ECss categorizes nodes into distinct domains,thereby reducing the network diameter and augmenting transmission ***,ECss streamlines block transmission through a compact block protocol and robust Rs coding,which not only reduces the size of broadcasted blocks but also ensures transmission ***,ECss utilizes the Chinese remainder theorem,designating the block body as the compression target and mapping it to multiple modules to achieve efficient storage,thereby alleviating the storage burdens on *** evaluate ECss’s performance,we established an experimental platformand conducted comprehensive *** results demonstrate that ECss attains superior network scalability and stability,reducing communication overhead by an impressive 72% and total storage costs by a substantial 63.6%.

strong subgame Consistency of the Core in stochastic Network Formation Games

We consider a model of network formation as a stochastic game with random duration proposed initially in sun and Parilina(Autom Remote Control 82(6):1065–1082,2021).In the model,the leader first suggests a joint project to other players,i.e.,the network connecting ***,the players are allowed to form fresh links with each other updating the initially proposed *** stage payoff of any player is defined depending on the network *** are two types of randomness in the network formation process:(i)links may fail to be formed with different probabilities although players intend to establish them,(ii)the game process may terminate at any stage or transit to the next stage with a certain probability ***,a network is formed as a result of players’decisions and realization of random *** cooperative version of the stochastic game is *** particular,we examine the properties of subgame consistency as well as strong subgame consistency of the *** provide a payment mechanism or regularization of the core elements to sustain its subgame consistency and avoid the player’s deviations from the cooperative *** addition,the distribution procedure of the core elements is regularized in case there are negative payments to achieve only nonnegative payments to the players at any *** sufficient condition of a strongly subgame consistent core is also *** illustrate our theoretical results with a numerical example.

The development of highly active,stable and inexpensive electrocatalysts for hydrogen production by defects and morphology engineering remains a great ***,s vacancies-rich Ni_(3)s_(2)@Cu_(2)s nan-otube heterojunction arrays were in-situ grown on copper foam(V_(s)-Ni_(3)s_(2)@V_(s)-Cu_(2)s NHAs/CF)for efficient electrocatalytic overall water *** the merits of nanotube arrays and efficient electronic mod-ulation drived by the OD vacancy defect and 2D heterojunction defect,the resultant V_(s)-Ni_(3)s_(2)@V_(s)-Cu_(2)s NHAs/CF electrocatalyst exhibits excellent electrocatalytic activity with a low overpotential of 47 mV for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)at 10 mA cm^(-2) current density,and 263 mV for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER)at 50 mA cm^(-2) current density,as well as a cell voltage of 1.48 V at 10 mA cm^(-2).Moreover,the nanotube heterojunction arrays endows V_(s)-Ni_(3)s_(2)@V_(s)-Cu_(2)s NHAs/CF with outstanding stability in long-term catalytic processes,as confirmed by the continuous chronopotentiom-etry tests at current densities of 10 mA cm^(-2) for 100 h.

NADPH oxidase 4(NOX4)as a biomarker and therapeutic target in neurodegenerative diseases

Diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases are defined by inflammation and the damage neurons undergo due to oxidative stress. A primary reactive oxygen species contributor in the central nervous system, NADPH oxidase 4, is viewed as a potential therapeutic touchstone and indicative marker for these ailments. This in-depth review brings to light distinct features of NADPH oxidase 4, responsible for generating superoxide and hydrogen peroxide, emphasizing its pivotal role in activating glial cells, inciting inflammation, and disturbing neuronal functions. significantly, malfunctioning astrocytes, forming the majority in the central nervous system, play a part in advancing neurodegenerative diseases, due to their reactive oxygen species and inflammatory factor secretion. Our study reveals that aiming at NADPH oxidase 4 within astrocytes could be a viable treatment pathway to reduce oxidative damage and halt neurodegenerative processes. Adjusting NADPH oxidase 4 activity might influence the neuroinflammatory cytokine levels, including myeloperoxidase and osteopontin, offering better prospects for conditions like Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. This review sheds light on the role of NADPH oxidase 4 in neural degeneration, emphasizing its drug target potential, and paving the path for novel treatment approaches to combat these severe conditions.

Using photodynamic therapy(PDT)to treat deep-seated cancers is limited due to inefficient delivery of photosensitizers and low tissue penetration of *** nanocarriers are widely used for photosensitizer delivery,while the self-quenching of the encapsulated photosensitizers would impair the PDT ***,the generated short-lived reactive oxygen spieces(ROs)can hardly diffuse out of nanocarriers,resulting in low PDT ***,a smart nanocarrier system which can be degraded by light,followed by photosensitizer activation can potentially overcome these limitations and enhance the PDT efficacy.A light-sensitive polymer nanocarrier encapsulating photosensitizer(RB-M)was *** implantable wireless dual wavelength microLED device which delivers the two light wavelengths sequentially was developed to programmatically control the release and activation of the loaded *** transmitter coils with matching resonant frequencies allow activation of the connected LEDs to emit different wavelengths *** irradiation time,dose,and RB-M concentration were determined using an agent-based digital simulation *** vitro and in vivo validation experiments in an orthotopic rat liver hepatocellular carcinoma disease model confirmed that the nanocarrier rupture and sequential low dose light irradiation strategy resulted in successful PDT at reduced photosensitizer and irradiation dose,which is a clinically significant event that enhances treatment safety.
