Enhanced acetone sensing performance of nanostructured sm2O3 doped snO2 thick films

In the present work, we synthesized sm2O3 doped snO2 in order to prepare a selective acetone sensor with fast response, quick recovery and good repeatability. Pure as well as 2 mol.%, 4 mol.%, 6 mol.% and 8 mol.% sm2O3 doped snO2 nanostructured samples were synthesized by using a co-precipitation method. The characterization of the samples was done by thermogravimetric and differential thermo-gravimetric analysis（TG-DTA）, X-ray diffraction（XRD）, field emission gun-scanning electron microscopy（FEG-sEM）, energy dispersive analysis by X-rays（EDAX）, high resolution scanning electron microscopy（HR-TEM）, selected area X-ray diffraction（sAED）, Brunauer-Emmet-Teller（BET） and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared（UV-Vis-NIR） spectroscopy techniques. The gas response studies of liquid petroleum gas, ammonia, ethanol and acetone vapor were carried out. The results showed that sm doping systematically lowered operating temperature and enhanced the gas response and selectivity for acetone. The response and recovery time for 6 mol.% sm2O3 doped snO2 thick film at the operating temperature of 250 °C were 15 and 24 s, respectively.

Co^(2+) substituted Mg–Cu–Zn ferrite: Evaluation of structural,magnetic,and electromagnetic properties

We report the synthesis of Co^(2+)substituted Mg–Cu–Zn ferrite via citrate gel combustion process and thereby its structural,transport,and magnetic properties for the use in electromagnetic energy absorption *** polycrystalline ferrite system is investigated by interplay of stoichiometric composition with Mg_(0.25–x)Co_x Cu_(0.25)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4(0≤x≤0.25).structural investigations using X-ray diffraction(XRD)and selected area electron diffraction(sAED)reveal the formation of spinel structure with linear growth of lattice constant due to Co^(2+)*** microstructural analysis(TEM and sEM)depicts the dense microstructure with the average grain size of 0.42–1.25μ*** elemental analysis(EDs)confirms the elemental composition of the as-prepared ferrite with respect to the initial concentrations of the synthetic composition *** observed variations in initial permeability(μ_i)and magnetic moment(_Bn)are explained based on deviation in saturation magnetization(M_s),anisotropy constant(_1K),density values,and exchange *** temperature dependence of DC resistivity confirms the semiconducting behavior of the as-prepared ferrite material,with an increase in the DC resistivity by an incorporation of ***,the effects of adding Co^(2+)on the Curie temperature,frequency dependent dielectric properties of the ferrite material are also discussed.

Dentinogenic ghost cell tumor: A case report

BACKGROUND Dentinogenic ghost cell tumor(DGCT) is an uncommon locally invasive odontogenic neoplasm. It is considered to be a solid variant of calcifying odontogenic cyst(COC). This tumor makes up for only 2%-14% of all COCs and less than 0.5% of all odontogenic tumors which owes to its rarity. The purpose of this paper was to describe a case of DGCT and the treatment adopted in our case,and to provide a review of this case in the indexed *** sUMMARY In this article, we discussed a case of 18 year old male who reported with a chief complaint of a recurrent swelling and dull aching pain in upper left back region of the jaw. Computed tomography scan was carried out which revealed hypodense lesion with a few hyperdense flecks within it suggesting the presence of calcification. On incisional biopsy, diagnosis of COC was given. After segmental resection of the lesion, histopathogically odontogenic epithelium was noted along with calcifications, ghost cells and dentinoid material. special staining was done with van Gieson and it showed pink areas of dentinoid material and yellow colour represented ghost cells. Hence, amalgamation of careful clinical examination, use of advanced radiographic imaging and detailed histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosis of DGCT. The patient was followed up for one year and there was no recurrence of the lesion or signs of any residual *** Radical treatment should be carried out along with mandatory long-term follow up in order to avoid recurrence in aggressive lesions.

In the evolving situation of highly infectious coronavirus,the number of confirmed cases in India has largely increased,which has resulted in a shortage of health care ***,the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare-Government of India issued guidelines for the‘Home isolation of COVID-19 positive patients’methodology for asymptomatic patients or with mild *** home isolation,the patients are required to monitor and record the pulse rate,body temperature,and oxygen saturation three times a *** paper proposes a system that can request data from the required sensor to measure the pulse rate,body temperature,or oxygen *** requested data is sensed by the respective sensor placed near the patients’body and sent to the CAN data logger over the CAN *** CAN data logger live streams the sensor values and stores the same to an excel sheet along with details like the patient’s name,patient’s age,and *** physicians can then access this information.
