Characterization of early maturing elite genotypes based on MTsI and MGIDI indexes:an illustration in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum L.)

Background Globally,the cultivation of cotton is constrained by its tendency for extended periods of *** maturity plays a potential role in rainfed-based multiple cropping system especially in the current era of climate *** the current study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum genotypes were evaluated in two crop seasons with three planting densities and assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early *** study aimed to identify genotype(s)that mature rapidly and accomplish well under diverse environmental conditions based on the two robust multivariate techniques called multi-trait stability index(MTsI)and multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index(MGIDI).Results MTsI analysis revealed that out of the 20 genotypes,three genotypes,viz.,NNDC-30,A-2,and s-32 accomplished well in terms of early maturity traits in two ***,three genotypes were selected using MGIDI method for each planting densities with a selection intensity of 15%.The strengths and weaknesses of the genotypes selected based on MGIDI method highlighted that the breeders could focus on developing early-maturing genotypes with specific traits such as days to first flower and boll *** selected genotypes exhibited positive genetic gains for traits related to earliness and a successful harvest during the first and second ***,there were negative gains for traits related to flowering and boll *** The study identified three genotypes exhibiting early maturity and accomplished well under different planting *** multivariate methods(MTsI and MGIDI)serve as novel approaches for selecting desired genotypes in plant breeding programs,especially across various growing *** methods offer exclusive benefits and can easily construe and minimize multicollinearity issues.

Trigonelline mitigates bleomycin-induced idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis in mice

study of boundary layer characteristics during the landfalling of a Nisarga cyclone

One of the most important parameters in meteorology is the mean wind pro fi le in the tropical cyclone boundary layer. The vertical pro fi le of wind speed and wind direction were measured during the period of the Nisarga cyclone from May 31st, 2020, to June 5th, 2020, using the newly installed Phased Array Doppler sodar system at the Center for space and Atmospheric science (CsAs), sanjay Ghodawat University, Kolhapur (16.74 degrees N, 74.37 degrees E; near India ' s western coast). Our analysis revealed that the maximum mean wind speed was 17 m/s on June 3, 2020, at 10:00 IsT. It also shows the change in wind direction from southwest to southeast on June 2 and 3, 2020. Daily high-resolution reanalysis data in the domain, 0 - 25 degrees N, 65 - 110 degrees E, during the period from May 31st to June 5th, 2020, revealed the variation of the atmospheric pressure of the Nisarga cyclone from 1000 to 1008 hPa, sea surface temperature (ssT) between 30 degrees C and 31 degrees C, outgoing longwave radiation (OLR) between 100 and 240 Wm-2 , wind speed between 3 and 15 m/s, and low values of vertical wind shear (VWs) were observed to the north of Nisarga track. Long-term outcomes of urethral balloon dilation for anterior urethral stricture: A prospective cohort study

Objective:To prospectively follow up a cohort of anterior urethral stricture disease patients managed with balloon dilation(BD)for 3 years to evaluate the long-term outcomes and to study factors that contribute to ***:This study included men who had urethral BD for significant anterior urethral stricture disease between January 2017 and March *** about the patient age,stricture characteristics,and recurrence date were recorded,along with information on postoperative indwelling catheter use and operative ***,information about the self-calibration procedure was collected and where available,free flow(FF)measurements during the follow-up period were recorded and *** was defined as a lack of symptoms and acceptable FF rates(maximum flow rate>12 mL/s).Results:The final analysis was conducted on 187 *** mean follow-up period was 37 *** long-term overall success rate at the end of our study was 66.8%.Our recurrence rate was 7.4%at 12 months,24.7%at 24 months,and reached 33.2%at the end of our *** time to recurrence ranged from 91 days to 1635 days,with a mean of 670 *** stricture-free survival was significantly shorter with lengthy peno-bulbar(p=0.031)and multiple strictures(p=0.015),and in the group of patients who were not committed to self-calibration protocol(pst-procedural self-calibration was the most important factor that may have decreased the incidence of recurrence(odds ratioZ5.85).Adjuvant self-calibration after BD not only reduced the recurrence rate from 85.4%in the non-self-calibration group to 15.1%in the self-calibration one(pso improved the overall stricture-free survival and FF parameters.

study of the Geometry and Folding Pattern of Leaves of Mimosa pudica

Many structural and functional properties possessed by plants have great potentials to stimulate new concepts and innovative ideas in the field of biomimetic engineering. The key inputs from biology can be used for creation of efficient and optimized structures. The study of the geometry and folding pattern of leaves of Mimosa pudica, referred as sensitive Plant, reveals some of the peculiar characteristics during folding and unfolding. When the leaf is touched, it quickly folds its leaflets and pinnae and droops downward at the petiole attachment. With the help of experiments on simulation model, the variations in angle of leaflets and degree of compaction after folding are investigated.

Non-spherical Gravitational Collapse of strange Quark Matter

We study the non-spherical gravitational collapse of the strange quark null fluid. The interesting feature which emerges is that the non-spherical collapse of charged strange quark matter leads to a naked singularity whereas the gravitational collapse of neutral quark matter proceeds to form a black hole. We extend the earlier work of Harko and Cheng [Phys. Lett. A 266 （2000） 249] to the non-spherical case.

Nanoemulsion containing a synergistic combination of curcumin and quercetin for nose-to-brain delivery:In vitro and in vivo studies
