Continuum manipulators(CM)are soft and flexible manipulators with large numbers of degrees of freedom and can perform complex tasks in an unstructured ***,their deformability and compliance can deviate distal tip under uncertain external *** address this challenge,a novel tension-based control scheme has been proposed to modulate the stiffness of a tendon-driven CM,reducing the tip position errors caused by uncertain external *** minimize the tip position error,a virtual spring is positioned between the deviated and the desired tip *** proposed algorithm corrects the manipulator deviated tip position,improving tension distribution and stiffness profile,resulting in higher stiffness and better *** corresponding task space stiffness and condition numbers are also computed under different cases,indicating the effectiveness of the tension control scheme in modulating the manipulator's *** validation conducted on an in-house developed prototype confirms the practical feasibility of the proposed approach.

A recent article reported that cancer patients with subthreshold depression are more likely to develop major depression within a *** regression analysis revealed that regular exercise was a protective factor against cancerrelated fatigue,whereas advanced age,radiotherapy,pain,and low hemoglobin were risk factors for cancer-related fatigue.A limitation of this study was the lack of methodological details about leukemia patients receiving depressive treatment at a specific *** assessment,behavioral modification plans,communication,destressing techniques,and educational plans may help chemotherapy patients manage emotional issues and reduce ***,these strategies can inspire patients to create,facilitate their treatment,and help them to remain healthy.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common chronic liver disease, and its prevalence is rising. NAFLD is closely associated with metabolic syndrome, with both conditions sharing common clinical characteristics such as obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and hypertriglyceridemia. several observational studies have evaluated the relationship between NAFLD and hypertension, with the overall evidence suggesting a bidirectional relationship. It is hypothesized that activation of the sympathetic nervous and renin-angiotensin systems, observed in NAFLD with or without insulin resistance promotes the development of hypertension. In patients with hypertension, activation of these systems can lead to hepatic fibrosis and progressive inflammation through increased oxidative stress and activation of hepatic stellate cells and Kupffer cells. The present review examines the pathophysiologic and clinical evidence supporting the bidirectional association between NAFLD and hypertension.

Chemical substances are essential in all aspects of human life,and understanding their properties is essential for developing chemical *** properties of chemical species can be accurately obtained by experiments or ab initio computational calculations;however,these are time-consuming and *** this work,machine learning models(ML)for estimating entropy,s,and constant pressure heat capacity,Cp,at 298.15 K,are developed for alkanes,alkenes,and *** training data for entropy and heat capacity are collected from the *** descriptors generated using alvaDesc software are used as input features for the ML *** vector regression(sVR),v-support vector regression(v-sVR),and random forest regression(RFR)algorithms were trained with K-fold cross-validation on two *** first level assessed the models’performance,and the second level generated the final *** the three ML models chosen,sVR shows better performance on the test *** sVR model was then compared against traditional Benson’s group additivity to illustrate the advantages of using the ML ***,a sensitivity analysis is performed to find the most critical descriptors in the property estimations.

The success of catalytic schemes for the large-scale valorization of CO_(2) does not only depend on the development of active,selective and stable catalytic materials but also on the overall process *** we present a multidisciplinary study(from catalyst to plant and techno-economic/lifecycle analysis)for the production of green methanol from renewable H2 and CO_(2).We combine an in-depth kinetic analysis of one of the most promising recently reported methanol-synthesis catalysts(InCo)with a thorough process simulation and techno-economic *** then perform a life cycle assessment of the simulated process to gauge the real environmental impact of green methanol production from CO_(2).Our results indicate that up to 1.75 ton of CO_(2) can be abated per ton of produced methanol only if renewable energy is used to run the process,while the sensitivity analysis suggest that either rock-bottom H2 prices(1.5$kg1)or severe CO_(2) taxation(300$per ton)are needed for a profitable methanol ***,we herein highlight and analyze some critical bottlenecks of the *** attention has been paid to the contribution of H2 to the overall plant costs,CH4 trace formation,and purity and costs of raw *** addition to providing important information for policy makers and industrialists,directions for catalyst(and therefore process)improvements are outlined.

The management of localized breast cancer has changed dramatically over the past three to four *** therapy,which involved lumpectomy followed by adjuvant irradiation,is now widely considered the standard of care in women with early-stage breast *** partial breast irradiation(APBI),which involves focal irradiation of the lumpectomy cavity over a short period of time,has developed over the past two decades as an alternative to whole breast irradiation(WBI).Multiple APBI modalities have been developed including brachytherapy,external beam irradiation,and intraoperative *** new technigues have provided early-stage breast cancer patients with shorter treatment duration and more focused irradiation,delivering very high biological doses to the region at a high risk of failures over a much shorter treatment course as compared with conventional ***,the advantages of APBI over conventional radiotherapy are controversial,including a higher risk of complications reported in retrospective literature and shorter follow-up duration in the intraoperative APBI ***,APBI presents a valuable alternative to WBI for a selected population of women with early-stage breast cancer.

印度铁路使用的WDM2型干线内燃机车，是一种客货两用机车。它是迄今为止印度在客运和货运中大量使用的主型机车，在最近的30年中一直工作得很出色。然而，在当今迅变的情况下，它的作用正逐渐减小。因为今天的要求是提高能量效率，并且优化机车设计，而WDM2型机车是作为在重载高粘着的货运设计和轻载高速客运设计之间的一种折衷方案而设计的，因此它并非是一种好的选择。设在勒克瑙的印度铁路的研究、设计和标准组织已设计了一种B0-B0机车，与WDM2型机车的客运能力相当，但油耗降低了15％～20％。文中阐述了该设计工作的思路，并说明了运用计算机模拟技术评估此机车设计方案。

In this paper,the variable coefficient nonlinear schrödinger equation with fifth order dispersion in the inhomogeneous optical fiber is investigated to study the impact of fifth order dispersion on attosecond soliton *** on the Darboux transformation method,soliton solution is constructed with modulated coefficients though Lax *** show that the coefficients of GVD and fifth order term are the main keys to control the amplitude,width and phase shift in the *** the suitable choices of coefficients for the obtained soliton solution,some new types of soliton management through fifth order are presented for the first ***,the influence of fifth order dispersion of the higher order NLs equations with and without modulated coefficients is discussed in *** will also highlight the impact of the studies on application in ocean *** results may be potentially useful in the soliton shaping and management in inhomogeneous fibers.

Aerodynamic Characteristics of Conventional and Innovative High Lift swept Wings

The new bird inspired wing sweep was introduced and compared with straight and conventional swept wings in gliding flight by an experimental test setup. Due to the similarity with the birds, wing, all test models have s1223 airfoil. swept models inspired from the bird consist of two parts: the straight part near the root and the swept part near the tip. Aerodynamic forces on each wing were measured from 0° to 24° angles of attack and Reynolds numbers of 4.3×10^4, 8.6×10^4, 1.3×10^5, and 1.7× 10^5. Wind tunnel test results show that wings with an innovative sweep at α> 0 have more lift for Reynolds numbers between 4.3× 10^4 and 8.6×10^4. Also, innovative sweep increases the stall angle, and the wing did not stall until α = 24° for Reynolds between 1.3×10^5 and 1.7×10^5. An increase in lift and having sufficient aerodynamic performance in low Reynolds numbers for birds' inspired wing sweep in gliding flight may be the answer to why the wing sweep of birds is not like conventional sweeps.

Chemotherapy in non-small cell lung cancer: opportunities for advancement

Locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NsCLC) continues to be a challenging disease to treat. With high rates of both local and distant failures, there is signiicant interest in inding more biologically active chemotherapy regimens that can contribute to reduce both failures. The phase III PROCLAIM trial, recently published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology entitled "PROCLAIM: randomized phase III trial of pemetrexed–cisplatin or etoposide–cisplatin plus thoracic radiation therapy followed by consolidation chemotherapy in locally advanced nonsquamous non-small-cell lung cancer", compared two diferent chemotherapy regimens given concurrently with radiotherapy in patients with stage III non-squamous lung cancer: pemetrexed plus cisplatin versus cisplatin plus etoposide. Both groups received consolidation chemotherapy. After enrolling 598 of planned 600 patients, the study was stopped early due to futility as no diference was seen in the primary end-point of overall survival. since PROCLAIM was designed as a superiority trial, these results suggest that pemetrexed regimens do not ofer a clinical advantage over standard cisplatin plus etoposide. There are some subpopulations who might still beneit from pemetrexed, especially if clinicians are concerned about myelosuppression-related adverse events. Future trials are needed to investigate novel biologic agents and irradiation techniques that can result in more durable local and distant disease control in locally advanced NsCLC.
