Feasibility and efficacy of delayed pharmacoinvasive therapy for sTelevation myocardial infarction

目的:研究信息技术(information technology,IT)专业人员的干眼患病情况及其与日常生活的相关性分析。方法:收集2013-10/12印度南部金奈地区三个IT公司员工进行地横断面调查。入选标准:从事IT行业至少6mo以上,年龄≥18岁,自愿参与研究并签署知情同意书。通过问卷调查和眼科检查收集相关信息,包括社会人口特征。采用schirmer's试验进行干眼评估,所有结果应用sPss 16.0统计软件进行分析。结果:大约有五分之一的参与者(n=36,18%)疑患有干眼,平均年龄29岁(sD=7),并且大多数是男性,本科生/研究生,单身,住在城市的大家庭中。多风的环境显著地增加了红眼的患病率(P=0.04)及眼睛的灼热感(P=0.000)。看电视同样也能增加了眼睛的异物感(P=0.01),从而导致分泌物过多(P=0.02)。结论:研究结果显示,许多日常活动比如看电视,使用电脑,读书,吹空调及多风的环境(干燥的环境)等都与干眼的症状相关。而且看电视及多风的环境更能加重干眼的一些症状。这项研究强调IT人群迫切需要多种方法和措施减轻干眼症。

Regio-and stereoselective 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions of C-(3-indolyl)-N-phenylnitrone(10)were carried out with different mono-substituted,disubstituted and cyclic dipolarophiles under mono-mode microwave irradiation to obtain substituted 3-(indol-30-yl)-N-phenyl-isoxazolidines(16–22).Reactions of nitrone(10)with allenic esters under similar conditions afforded,via a domino process,bis-indole derivatives(23a–c)along with compounds 24 and ***,reactions of C-(3-pyridyl)-N-phenylnitrone(26)with mono-substituted,disubstituted and cyclic dipolarophiles were carried out in refluxing dry toluene to obtain substituted 3-(30-pyridyl)-Nphenylisoxazolidines(27–34).some of the compounds(16f,18b,23a,23c,27c and 29f)display significant cytotoxicity against a number of human cancer cell lines.

Experimental assessment and prediction of temporal scour depth around a spur dike

spur dikes are river training structures that have been extensively used worldwide for towards enhancing flood control and the stability of embankments and ***,scour around spur dikes can be a major problem affecting their stability and hydraulic *** precise computation of temporal scour depth at spur dikes is very important for the design of economical and safe spur *** study focuses on experimentally assessing the temporal variation of scour depth around a vertical wall spur dike and identifying the parameters,which mostly influence spur dike performance for a channel bed surface comprised of sand-gravel *** the current study,the authors did physical experiments in a flume based study to obtain new data,aimed at deriving a new predictive model for spur dike scour and comparing its performance to others found in the *** was found that the dimensionless temporal scour depth variation increases with an increase in(i) the threshold velocity ratio,(ii) the densimetric Froude number of the bed surface sediment mixture,(iii) the flow shallowness(defined as the ratio of the approach flow depth,y,to the spur dike’s transverse length,l),and(iv) the flow depth-particle size *** is also concluded that the temporal scour depth variation in the sediment mixture is influenced by the non-uniformity of sediment and decreases with an increase in the non-uniformity of the sediment mixture.A new mathematical model is derived for the estimation of temporal scour depths in sand-gravel sediment *** proposed equation has been calibrated and validated with the experimental data,demonstrating a good predictive capacity for the estimation of temporal scour depth evolution.

Current evidence of concept analyses recommending nanotechnology for biomedical uses abounds in recent research. The area of biotechnology interfaces with nanostructures, reconfigures their composition, and alters their characteristics;which influences the dispersion of the particles, the biotransformation they cause, and their potential toxic effect. It is vital to link the idea of the lifecycle of nanostructures to the biological impacts and use methodologies to identify, estimate, and track the gradual bioprocessing of nanostructures in vivo, from a body-wide level to a nanoscopic size. This is necessary because understanding how nanostructures processing, degradation, persistence, and recycling predict potential exposure risks. The safe implementation of nanotechnology-based products in biomedical applications necessitates an extensive understanding of the recycling and transformations of nanomaterials in a living organism. Long-term fate in the body is crucial, as it governs potential environmental risks to human health. strategies may be used to manage the long-term outcome of nanostructures in an organism since, in addition to composition, their design also affects how long they last and how easily they degrade. The lifespan of nanoparticles, a flexible and biocompatible category of nanostructures that have made it into clinical trials, is the subject of this article. strategies may be used to manage the long-term outcome of nanoparticles in an organism since, in addition to composition, their design also affects how long they last and how easily they degrade. N-acetylcysteine(NAC)is an abundantly available antioxidant with a wide range of antidotal properties currently best studied for its use in treating acetaminophen *** has a robustly established safety profile with easily tolerated side effects and presents the Food and Drug Administration's approval for use in treating acetaminophen overdose *** has been proven efficacious in offlabel uses,such as in respiratory diseases,heart disease,cancer,human immunodeficiency virus infection,and seasonal *** trials have recently shown that NAC's capacity to replenish glutathione stores may significantly improve coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outcomes,especially in high risk ***,individuals with glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency have been shown to experience even greater *** same study has concluded that NAC's ability to mitigate the impact of the cytokine storm and prevent elevation of liver enzymes,C-reactive protein,and ferritin is associated with higher success rates weaning from the ventilator and return to normal function in COVID-19 *** the background knowledge of biochemistry,current uses of NAC in clinical practice,and newly acquired evidence on its potential efficacy against COVID-19,it is worthwhile to investigate further whether this agent can be used as a treatment or adjuvant for COVID-19.

Producing environmentally stable monolayers and few-layers of hafnium disulphide （Hfs2） with a high yield to reveal its unlocked electronic and optoelectronic applications is still a challenge. Hfs2 is a layered two-dimensional material of group-iv transition metal dichalcogenides. For the first time, we demonstrate a simple and cost-effective method to grow layered belt-like nanocrystals of Hfs2 with a notably large interlayer spacing followed by their chemical exfoliation. Various microscopic and spectroscopic techniques confirm that these as-grown crystals exfoliate into single or multiple layers in a few minutes using solvent assisted ultrasonification method in N-cyclohexyl-2- pyrrolidone. The exfoliated nanosheets of Hfs2 exhibit an indirect bandgap of 1.3 eV with high stability against surface degradation. Furthermore, we demonstrate that these nanosheets hold potential for electronic applications by fabricating a field-effect transistor based on few-layered Hfs2, exhibiting a field-effect mobility of 0.95 cm2/（V.s） with a high on/off current modulation ratio of 10,000 in ambient conditions. The method is scalable and has a potential significance for both academic and industrial purposes.

Investigation of cost, power, and spectral efficiency in fixed- and flexi-grid networks

With the steady growth of traffic volume in core networks,it is predicted that future optical network communication will be constrained mainly by cost and power ***,for Internet sustainability,it will be necessary to ensure cost and power efficiency in optical *** aims of this study are(i)to identify the main sources of cost and power consumption in fixed-grid(sLR and MLR)and flexi-grid(OFDM)optical networks,and(ii)to compare techniques for improving cost and power efficiency in sLR/MLR-and OFDM-based *** this end,we conducted a comparative analysis of cost and power efficiency for the OFDM-and MLR/sLR-based networks,and considering realistic networks,evaluated the cost and power consumed by different components in the optical *** results show that(i)OFDM-based networks outperform those based on MLR/sLR in terms of both cost and power-efficiency,(ii)the extra equipment cost incurred due to under-utilization of spectrum is reduced by switching to a flexi-grid network,(iii)lower power consumption per bit is obtained when the networking solution ensures a finer bit-rate granularity,and(iv)there exists a power and spectrum minimization trade-off that is network characteristic dependent.
