In this study,we conducted a search for dark matter using a part of the data recorded by the CMs experiment during run-I of the LhC in 2012 with a center of mass energy of 8 TeV and an integrated luminosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from the CMs open *** matter,in the framework of the simplified model(mono-Z′),can be produced from proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dimuon plus large missing transverse momentum *** benchmark scenario of mono-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the CMs open *** evidence of dark matter was observed,and exclusion limits were set on the masses of dark matter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

Clays have considerable influence on the electrical properties of hydrate-bearing *** is desirable to understand the electrical properties of hydrate-bearing clayey sediments and to build hydrate saturation(s_(h))models for reservoir evaluation and *** electrical properties of tetrahydrofuran-hydrate-bearing sediments with montmorillonite are characterized by complex conductivity at frequencies from 0.01 hz to 1 *** effects of clay and sh on the complex conductivity were analyzed.A decrease and increase in electrical conductance result from the clay-swelling-induced blockage and ion migration in the electrical double layer(EDL),*** quadrature conductivity increases with the clay content up to 10%because of the increased surface site density of counterions in *** the in-phase conductivity and quadrature conductivity decrease consistently with increasing sh from 0.50 to *** sets of models for sh evaluation were *** model based on the simandoux equation outperforms Archie’s formula,with a root-mean-square error(E_(RMs))of 1.8%and 3.9%,respectively,highlighting the clay effects on the in-phase *** fre-quency effect correlations based on in-phase and quadrature conductivities exhibit inferior performance(E_(RMs)=11.6%and 13.2%,re-spectively)due to the challenge of choosing an appropriate pair of frequencies and intrinsic uncertainties from two *** second-order Cole-Cole formula can be used to fit the complex-conductivity *** pair of inverted Cole-Cole parameters,i.e.,characteristic time and chargeability,is employed to predict s_(h) with an E_(RMs) of 5.05%and 9.05%,respectively.

Motivated by the recent experimental results of branching fractions for ■→■ decays,which deviate from their sM predictions,we hve investigated these decays in W' model and scalar leptoquark model to determine potential signatures of new physics(NP) in semileptonic charm decays induced by c→■ *** recent experimental results of branching fractions for semileptonic D meson decays,new coupling parameters are predicted for the aforementioned NP *** fraction,forward-backward asymmetry,and lepton polarization asymmetry are examined by considering the predicted NP coupling *** results of branching fractions in scalar leptoquark model are found very close to the experimental results and exist around the range of 1σ *** presented a comparative study of the NP models to check their sensitivity on these *** anticipate that further research on these decays will significantly support our findings.

To explore highly active and thermomechanical stable air electrodes for intermediate-temperature solid oxide fuel cells(ITsOFCs),10mol%Ta5+doped in the B site of strontium ferrite perovskite oxide(srTa_(0.1)Fe_(0.9)O_(3-δ),sTF)is investigated and *** effects of Ta^(5+)doping on structure,transition metal reduction,oxygen nonstoichiometry,thermal expansion,and electrical performance are evaluated *** 10mol%Ta^(5+)doping,the thermal expansion coefficient(TEC)decreased from 34.1×10^(-6)(srFeO_(3-δ))to 14.6×10^(-6) K^(-1)(sTF),which is near the TEC of electrolyte(13.3×10^(-6) K^(-1) for sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(1.9),sDC),indicates excellent thermomechanical *** 550-750℃,sTF shows superior oxygen vacancy concentrations(0.262 to 0.331),which is critical in the oxygen-reduction reaction(ORR).Oxygen temperature-programmed desorption(O_(2)-TPD)indicated the thermal reduction onset temperature of iron ion is around 420℃,which matched well with the inflection points on the thermos-gravimetric analysis and electrical conductivity *** 600℃,the sTF electrode shows area-specific resistance(AsR)of 0.152Ω·cm^(2) and peak power density(PPD)of 749 mW·cm^(-2).ORR activity of sTF was further improved by introducing 30wt%sm_(0.2)Ce_(0.8)O_(1.9)(sDC)powder,sTF+sDC composite cathode achieving outstanding AsR value of 0.115Ω·cm2 at 600℃,even comparable with benchmark cobalt-containing cathode,Ba_(0.5)sr_(0.5)Co_(0.8)Fe_(0.2)O_(3-δ)(BsCF).Distribution of relaxation time(DRT)analysis revealed that the oxygen surface exchange and bulk diffusion were improved by forming a composite *** 650℃,sTF+sDC composite cathode achieving an outstanding PPD of 1117 mW·cm^(-2).The excellent results suggest that sTF and sTF+sDC are promising air electrodes for IT-sOFCs.

In the present work,tilted global solar irradiance data are presented and analysed,measured for a period of 1 year on the campus of Bahrain Polytechnic,Kingdom of Bahrain,from both a fixed photovoltaic panel and a moving one via a two-axis solar *** fixed panel faces south with an angle of 26°with respect to the horizontal,coinciding with the local geographical *** second panel is moved by two motors,controlled by a global positioning system and suitable software so that the sun’s rays are perpendicular to the panel surface.A pyranometer is installed on each panel,recording the tilted global solar irradiance,stored by using a data *** analysis of the data obtained shows a 33%solar energy gain on an annual basis for the moving panel(2780 versus 2088 kWh/m^(2) on the fixed panel).More importantly,in June,when the energy demand in Bahrain is elevated due to the increased residential cooling loads,the solar energy received by the moving panel is 54.7%higher compared with that of the fixed *** a percentage basis,the increase in solar energy from the moving panel is profound in the early morning and late evening ***,the reduction in the solar energy received by the fixed panel from May to June does not appear in the moving panel because of the adjustable orientation of the *** the year,the mean daily solar power varies between 0.37 and 0.56 kW/m^(2) for the fixed panel,and 0.45 and 0.70 kW/m^(2) for the moving *** winter,solar energy fluctuations are elevated due to erratic weather conditions that present a peak standard deviation of 28%of the corresponding *** data presented are useful for potential solar investments in Gulf countries.

Landslide-generated impulsive waves(LGWs)in reservoir areas can seriously threaten waterway safety as well as hu-man life and properties around the two side *** risk reduction and mitigation of such a hazard require the accurate prediction of near-field wave characteristics,such as wave amplitude and ***,near-field LGW involves complicated fluid-solid ***,the wave characteristics are closely related to various aspects,including the geometry and physical features of the slide,river,and body of ***,the empirical or analytical methods used for rough estimation cannot derive accurate results,especially for deformable landslides,due to their significant geometry changes during the sliding *** this study,the near-field waves generated by deformable landslides were simulated by smoothed particle hydrodynamics(sPh)based on multi-phase *** deformable landslides were generalized as a kind of viscous flow by adopting the herschel-Bulkley-Papanastasiou(hBP)-based nonNewtonian rheology *** hBP model is capable of producing deformable landslide dynamics even though the high-speed sliding process is *** this study,an idealized experiment case originating from Lituya LGW and a practical case of Gongjiafang LGW were reproduced for verification and *** simulation results of both cases show satisfactory consistency with the experiment/investigation data in terms of landslide movement and near-field impulsive wave characteristics,thus indicating the applicability and accuracy of the proposed ***,the effects of the hBP model’s rheological parameters on the landslide dynamics and near-field wave characteristics are discussed,providing a parameter calibration method along with sug-gestions for further applications.

Aiming to solve the bottleneck problem of electromagnetic scattering simulation in the scenes of extremely large-scale seas and ships,a high-frequency method by using graphics processing unit(GPU)parallel acceleration technique is *** the implementation of different electromagnetic methods of physical optics(PO),shooting and bouncing ray(sBR),and physical theory of diffraction(PTD),a parallel computing scheme based on the CPU-GPU parallel computing scheme is realized to balance computing ***,a multi-GPU framework is further proposed to solve the computational difficulty caused by the massive number of ray tubes in the ray tracing *** using the established simulation platform,signals of ships at different seas are simulated and their images are achieved as *** is shown that the higher sea states degrade the averaged peak signal-to-noise ratio(PsNR)of radar image.

spermatogonial stem cells(ssCs)have important applications in both reproduction and regenerative ***,specific genes and signaling transduction pathways in mediating fate decisions of human ssCs remain ***,we have demonstrated for the first time that OIP5(Opa interacting protein 5)controlled the self-renewal and apoptosis of human *** sequencing identified that NCK2 was a target for OIP5 in human ssCs,and interestingly,OIP5 could interact with NCK2 as shown by Co-IP(co-immunoprecipitation),IP-Ms(mass spectrometry),and GsT pulldown ***2 silencing decreased human ssC proliferation and DNA synthesis but enhanced their ***,NCK2 knockdown reversed the influence of OIP5 overexpression on human ***,OIP5 inhibition decreased the numbers of human ssCs at s and G2/M phases,while the levels of numerous cell cycle proteins,including cyclins A2,B1,D1,E1 and h,especially cyclin D1,were remarkably ***,whole-exome sequencing of 777 patients with nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA)revealed 54 singlenucleotide polymorphism mutations of the OIP5 gene(6.95%),while the level of OIP5 protein was obviously lower in testes of NOA patients compared to fertile ***,these results implicate that OIP5 interacts with NCK2 to modulate human ssC self-renewal and apoptosis via cell cyclins and cell cycle progression and that its mutation and/or lower expression is correlated with *** such,this study offers novel insights into molecular mechanisms underlying the fate determinations of human ssCs and the pathogenesis of NOA,and it provides new targets for treating male infertility.
