The quick spread of the CoronavirusDisease(COVID-19)infection around the world considered a real danger for global *** biological structure and symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to other viral chest maladies,which makes it challenging and a big issue to improve approaches for efficient identification of COVID-19 *** this study,an automatic prediction of COVID-19 identification is proposed to automatically discriminate between healthy and COVID-19 infected subjects in X-ray images using two successful moderns are traditional machine learning methods(e.g.,artificial neural network(ANN),support vector machine(sVM),linear kernel and radial basis function(RBF),k-nearest neighbor(k-NN),Decision Tree(DT),andCN2 rule inducer techniques)and deep learningmodels(e.g.,MobileNets V2,ResNet50,GoogleNet,DarkNet andXception).A largeX-ray dataset has been created and developed,namely the COVID-19 ***(400 healthy cases,and 400 COVID cases).To the best of our knowledge,it is currently the largest publicly accessible COVID-19 dataset with the largest number of X-ray images of confirmed COVID-19 infection *** on the results obtained from the experiments,it can be concluded that all the models performed well,deep learning models had achieved the optimum accuracy of 98.8%in ResNet50 *** comparison,in traditional machine learning techniques, the sVM demonstrated the best result for an accuracy of 95% and RBFaccuracy 94% for the prediction of coronavirus disease 2019.

The lithium polysulfide shuttle and sluggish sulfur reaction kinetics still pose significant challenges to lithium-sulfur(Li-s)*** functional plane of Fe-Mose_(2)@r GO nanohybrid with abundant defects has been designed and applied in Li-s batteries to develop the functional separator and multi-layer sulfur *** cell with a functional separator exhibits a retention capacity of 462 m Ah g^(-1)after the 1000th at 0.5 C and 516 m Ah g^(-1)after the 600th at 0.3 *** at low electrolyte conditions(7.0μL_(mgsulfur)^(-1)and 15μL_(mgsulfur)^(-1))under high sulfur loadings(3.46 mg cm^(-2)and 3.73 mg cm^(-2)),the cell still presents high reversible discharge capacities 679 and 762 m Ah g^(-1)after 70 cycles,***,at sulfur loadings up to 8.26 and 5.2 mg cm^(-2),the cells assembled with the bi-layers sulfur cathode and the tri-layers sulfur cathode give reversible capacities of 3.3 m Ah cm^(-2)after the 100th cycle and 3.0 m Ah cm^(-2)after the 120th cycle,*** research not only demonstrates that the FeMose_(2)@r GO functional plane is successfully designed and applied in Li-s batteries with superior electrochemical performances but also paves the novel way for developing a unique multi-layer cathode technique to enhance and advance the electrochemical behavior of Li-s cells at a high-sulfur-loading cathode under lean electrolyte/sulfur(e/s)ratio.

Impacts of Anthropogenic Forcings and el Nio on Chinese extreme Temperatures

This study investigates the potential influences of anthropogenic forcings and natural variability on the risk of summer extreme temperatures over China. We use three multi-thousand-member ensemble simulations with different forcings （with or without anthropogenic greenhouse gases and aerosol emissions） to evaluate the human impact, and with sea surface temperature patterns from three different years around the e1 Nino-southern Oscillation （eNsO） 2015/16 event （years 2014, 2015 and 2016） to evaluate the impact of natural variability. A generalized extreme value （GeV） distribution is used to fit the ensemble results. Based on these model results, we find that, during the peak of eNsO （2015）, daytime extreme tem- peratures axe smaller over the central China region compared to a normal year （2014）. During 2016, the risk of nighttime extreme temperatures is largely increased over the eastern coastal region. Both anomalies are of the same magnitude as the anthropogenic influence. Thus, eNsO can amplify or counterbalance （at a regional and annual scale） anthropogenic effects on extreme summer temperatures over China. Changes are mainly due to changes in the GeV location parameter. Thus, anomalies are due to a shift in the distributions and not to a change in temperature variability.

Development and characterization of a microfluidic glucose sensing system based on an enzymatic microreactor and chemiluminescence detection

Chemiluminescence detection was developed as an alternative to amperometric detection for glucose analysis in a portable, microfluidicsbased continuous glucose monitoring system. Amperometric detection allows easy determination of hydrogen peroxide, a product of the glucose oxidasecatalyzed reaction of glucose with oxygen, by oxidation at a microelectrode. However, （micro）electrodes in direct contact with physiological sample are subject to electrode fouling, which leads to signal drift, decreased reproducibility and shortened detector lifetimes. Moreover, there are a few species present in the body （e.g. ascorbic acid, uric acid） which can undergo oxidation at the same applied potential as hydrogen peroxide. These species can thus inter- fere with the glucose measurement, reducing detection specificity. The rationale for exploring chemiluminescence as opposed to amperometric detection is thus to attempt to improve the lifetime and reproducibility of glucose analysis for monitoring purposes, while reducing interference caused by other chemicals in the body. The study reported here represents a first step in this direction, namely the realization of a microfluidic device with integrated silicon photodiode for chemiluminescence detection of glucose. This microflow device uses a chaotic mixing approach to perform enzymatic conversion of glucose, followed by reaction of the hydrogen peroxide produced with luminol to produce light at 425 nm. The chemil reaction is catalyzed by horseradish peroxidase in the presence of iodophenol. The performance of the fabricated chip was characterized to establish optimal reaction conditions with respect to sample and reagent flow rates, pH, and concentrations. A linear calibra- tion curve was obtained for current response as a function of glucose concentration in the clinically relevant range between 2 and 10 mM, with a sensitivity of 39 pA/mM （R = 0.9963, one device, n = 3） and a limit of detection of 230 ktM （s/N - 3）.

Detailed mineralogy,bulk rock major,trace and sr-Nd isotope compositions,and ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar dating of the Pipe-8 diamondiferous ultramafic intrusion in the Wajrakarur cluster of southern India,is *** on the presence of Ti-rich phlogopite,high Na/K content in amphibole,Al-and Ti-rich diopside,a titanomagnetite trend in spinel and the presence of Ti-rich schorlomite garnet and carbonates in the groundmass,the Pipe-8 intrusion is here more precisely classified as an ultramafic lamprophyre(i.e.,aillikite).An aillikite affinity of the Pipe-8 intrusion is further supported by the bulk rock major and trace element and sr-Nd isotope ***-Nd isotope data are consistent with a common,moderately depleted upper mantle source region for both the Pipe-8 aillikite as well as the Wajrakarur kimberlites of southern India.A phlogopite-rich groundmass ^(40)Ar/^(39)Ar plateau age of 1115.8±7.9 Ma(2σ) for the Pipe-8 intrusion falls within a restricted 100 Ma time bracket as defined by the 1053-1155 Ma emplacement ages of kimberlites and related rocks in *** presence of ultramafic lamprophyres,carbonatites,kimberlites,and olivine lamproites in the Wajrakarur kimberlite field requires low degrees of partial melting of contrasting metasomatic assemblages in a heterogeneous sub-continental lithospheric *** widespread association of kimberlite and other mantle-derived magmatism during the Mesoproterozoic(ca.1.1 Ga) have been interpreted as being part of a single large igneous province comprising of the Kalahari,Australian,West Laurentian and Indian blocks of the Rodinia supercontinent that were in existence during its *** India only kimberlite/lamproite/ultramafic lamprophyre magmatism occurred at this time without the associated large igneous provinces as seen in other parts of *** may be because of the separated paleo-latitudinal position of India from Australia during the assembly of *** is speculated that the presence of a large

White blood cells (WBC) or leukocytes are a vital component ofthe blood which forms the immune system, which is accountable to fightforeign elements. The WBC images can be exposed to different data analysisapproaches which categorize different kinds of WBC. Conventionally, laboratorytests are carried out to determine the kind of WBC which is erroneousand time consuming. Recently, deep learning (DL) models can be employedfor automated investigation of WBC images in short duration. Therefore,this paper introduces an Aquila Optimizer with Transfer Learning basedAutomated White Blood Cells Classification (AOTL-WBCC) technique. Thepresented AOTL-WBCC model executes data normalization and data augmentationprocess (rotation and zooming) at the initial stage. In addition,the residual network (ResNet) approach was used for feature extraction inwhich the initial hyperparameter values of the ResNet model are tuned by theuse of AO algorithm. Finally, Bayesian neural network (BNN) classificationtechnique has been implied for the identification of WBC images into distinctclasses. The experimental validation of the AOTL-WBCC methodology isperformed with the help of Kaggle dataset. The experimental results foundthat the AOTL-WBCC model has outperformed other techniques which arebased on image processing and manual feature engineering approaches underdifferent dimensions.

Investigations of the effects of particle morphology on granular material behaviors using a multi-sphere approach

This article studies the influences of particle morphology on the behaviors of granular materials at both macroscopic and microscopic levels based on the discrete element method(DeM).A set of numerical tests under drained triaxial compression was performed by controlling two morphological descriptors,*** of the smallest to the largest pebble diameter,x,and the maximum pebbleepebble intersection angle,*** descriptors are vital in generating particle geometry and surface *** was found that the stress responses of all assemblies exhibited similar behavior and showed post-peak *** normalized stress ratio and volumetric strains flatten off and tended to reach a steady value after an axial strain of 40%.While the friction angles at peak state varied with different morphological descriptors,the friction angles at critical state showed no significant ***,evolution of the average coordination numbers showed a dramatic exponential decay until an axial strain of about 15%after which it stabilized and was unaffected by further increase of axial *** addition,stress ratio q/p and strong fabric parameter fs d=fs m were found to follow an approximately linear relationship for each *** findings emphasized the significance of the influences of particle morphology on the macroscopic and microscopic responses of granular materials.

Radial density profile and stability of capillary discharge plasma waveguides of lengths up to 40 cm

Factors that contribute to the mycoparasitism stimulus in Trichoderma atroviride. strain P1

Trichoderma atroviride strain P1 has been used extensively to study the mycoparasitic mechanisms in the interaction between plant pathogenic host and beneficial antagonistic fungi. Mutants of P1 containing the green fluorescent protein (gfp) or glucose oxidase (gox) reporter systems and different inducible promoters (from the exochitinase nag1 gene, or the endochitinase ech42 gene of P1) were used to determine the factors that activate the biocontrol gene expression cascade in the antagonist. The following compounds were tested singly and in various combinations: purified Trichoderma P1 enzymes (endochitinase, exochitinase, chitobiosidase, glucanase); antagonist culture filtrates (T. atroviride P1 wild-type and relative knock-out mutants, T. harzianum, T. reesei); pathogen culture filtrates (Botrytis, Pythium, Rhizoctonia); purified fungal cell walls (CWs) from Trichoderma, Botrytis, Pythium, Rhizoctonia; colloidal crab shell chitin; and plant extracts from cucumber leaves, stems or roots. strong induction of mycoparasitism was found with the various digestion products produced by treating fungal CWs and colloidal chitin with purified enzymes or fungal culture filtrates. Filtrates from chitinase knock-out mutants, as well as CWs from Oomycetes fungi, were less active in producing the stimulus for mycoparasitism. The host CW digestion products were separated by molecular weight (MW) to determine which compounds were able to activate Trichoderma. Micromolecules of MW less than 3 kDa were found to trigger mycoparasitism gene expression before physical contact with the host pathogen. These compounds stimulated mycelial growth and spore germination of the antagonist. Purification of these host-derived compounds was conducted by HPLC and in vivo assay. The obtained inducers were able to stimulate both the production of endochitinase and exochitinase enzymes, even under repressing conditions in the presence of glucose.
