Objective To present the results of a.res.arch project on 6 hea.y meta.s （Cd, Cu, Zn, Pb, Hg, a.d Cr） a. 30 Fa.a.a.fields s.attered a.ound Ka.o. Methods Following a.reconna.s.ance conducted, 30 representa.ive Fa.a.a.la.ds being irriga.ed with wa.tewa.er were selected from zones of the city under residentia., industria., commercia., a.d mixed but la.gely residentia. la.duses. Five a.ditiona. Fa.a.a.la.ds not being irriga.ed with wa.tewa.er were selected to serve a. control. Using grid sa.pling procedure, soil sa.ples were selected from 0-15 cm a.d 20-30 cm depths.and a.a.yzed for the a.ove listed hea.y meta.s using a.omic a.sorption spectrophotometry. T-test wa. used to compa.e the mea. va.ues of the meta.s for the Fa.a.a.la.ds under different la.duse zones with those of the control. Results.ana.yses of the soil da.a.collected showed tha. the meta.s were concentra.ed in higher a.ounts in the lower （20-30 cm） tha. the upper （0-15 cm） depths, which wa.0}n indica.ion of downwa.d movement of the meta.s in profile of the soils. In the two soil depths, Zn wa. genera.ly the most a.unda.t, followed by Cr, then Pb, Cu, a.d Cd while Hg wa. the lea.t. The Fa.a.a.soils in a.ea. of mixed la.duses with industria. a. the domina.t ones ma.nta.ned the highest concentra.ions of the va.ious meta.s. Conclusions These results indica.e clea.ly tha. the Fa.a.a.soils.are significa.tly polluted by industria. a.d household wa.tewa.er a.d tha. there is.a pa.ticula. threa. from Cr a.d Pb pollution. There is.also evidence tha. the meta.s.are a.cumula.ing a. lower la.ers of the soil profile, suggesting tha. not only pla.ts.and soil, but even wa.er bodies could be under the threa. of hea.y meta. pollution in the a.ea.

The unstea.y s.agna.ion point flow of a. incompressible viscous fluid over a.rota.ing disk is investiga.ed numerica.ly in the present study. The disk impinges the oncoming flow with a.time-dependent a.ia. velocity. The three-dimensionM a.isymmetric bounda.y-la.er flow is described by the Na.ier-stokes equa.ions. The governing equa.ions.are solved numerica.ly, a.d two distinct simila.ity solution bra.ches.are obta.ned. Both solution bra.ches exhibit different flow pa.terns. The upper bra.ch solution exists for a.l va.ues of the impinging pa.a.eter β a.d the rota.ing pa.a.eter Ω. However, the lower bra.ch solution brea.s down a. some modera.e va.ues of β The involvement of the rota.ion a. disk a.lows the simila.ity solution to be tra.spired for a.l the decrea.ing va.ues of β. The results of the velocity profile, the skin friction, a.d the strea. lines.are demonstra.ed through gra.hs.and ta.les for both solution bra.ches. The results show tha. the impinging velocity deprecia.es the forwa.d flow a.d a.celera.es the flow in the ta.gentia. direction.

This res.arch implements.a novel segmenta.ion of ma.mogra.hic *** methods.are proposed,na.ely,segmenta.ion of ma.s ba.ed on itera.ive a.tive contour,a.toma.ic region growing,a.d fully a.toma.ic ma.k selectionba.ed a.tive contour *** the first method,itera.ive threshold is performed for ma.ua. cropped preprocessed ima.e,a.d a.tive contour is.applied *** overcome ma.ua. cropping in the second method,a. a.toma.ic seed selection followed by region growing is *** tha. the result is only a.few ima.es owing to over segmenta.ion,the third method uses.a fully a.toma.ic a.tive *** of the segmenta.ion techniques.are compa.ed with the ma.ua. ma.kup by experts,specifica.ly by ta.ing the difference in their mea. ***,the difference in the mea. va.ue of the third method is 1.0853,which indica.es the closeness of the ***,the proposed method is compa.ed with the existing fuzzy C mea.s.and level set *** a.toma.ic ma.s segmenta.ion ba.ed on a.tive contour technique results in segmenta.ion with high *** using a.a.tive neuro fuzzy inference system,cla.sifica.ion is done a.d results in a.sensitivity of 94.73%,a.cura.y of 93.93%,a.d Ma.hew’s correla.ion coefficient(MCC)of 0.876.

Let X1 a.d X2 be two compa.t connected strongly pseudoconvex embedda.le Ca.chy-Riema.n （CR） ma.ifolds of dimensions 2m - 1 a.d 2n - 1 in Cm＋l a.d Cn＋l, respectively. We introduce the Thom- seba.tia.i sum X = X1 X2 which is.a new compa.t connected strongly pseudoconvex embedda.le CR ma.ifold of dimension 2m＋2n＋ 1 in Cm＋n＋2. Thus the set of a.l codimension 3 strongly pseudoconvex compa.t connected CR ma.ifolds in C^n＋1 for a.l n ≥ 2 forms.a semigroup. X is sa.d to be a. irreducible element in this semigroup if X ca.not be written in the form X1 X2. It is.a na.ura. question to determine when X is.an irreducible CR ma.ifold. We use Kohn-Rossi cohomology groups to give a.neces.ary condition of the a.ove question. Explicitly, we show tha. if X = X1 X2, then the Kohn-Rossi cohomology of the X is the product of those Kohn-Rossi cohomology coming from X1 a.d X2 provided tha. X2 a.mits.a tra.sversa. holomorphic sl-a.tion.

Of these, only the lexicogra.hic a.d bootla.e orders yield residua.ed semigroups. With the lexicogra.hic order, sx is orthodox a.d ha.0} biggest idempotent. With the bootla.e order, the ma.ima. idempotents of sx a.e identified by specific loca.ions in the sa.dwich ma.rix. In the orthodox ca.e there is.also a.biggest idempotent a.d, for sa.dwich ma.rices of a.given size, uniqueness up to ordered semigroup isomorphism is es.ablished.

since the concept of petroleum migra.ion-a.cumula.ion dyna.ic system （PMa.s） wa. introduced in the 1990s, its definition, division a.d even denomina.ion ha.e long been in disa.reement. This.article a.ms to further discuss.and try to cla.ify this concept a.d to explore more rea.ona.le a.proa.hes to the division of PMa.ss on the ba.is of our studies on petroleum migra.ion a.d a.cumula.ion in some pe- troliferous ba.ins of China. especia.ly those from western China. a.cording to the studies, we define PMa.s.as.a rela.ively independent na.ura. hydroca.bon migra.ing a.d a.cumula.ing system within a.petroleum system. Its extent is supposed to cover the whole migra.ion pa.hwa. s.arting from a.hydroca.bon provena.ce throughout to a. a.cumula.ion or a.group of a.cumula.ions of sa.e source. Just like petroleum systems, a.petroleum migra.ion-a.cumula.ion system is.also a. importa.t na.ura. unit for petroleum explora.ion a.d a.sessment in petroleum ba.ins. Its position in a.ba.in is right between a.petroleum system a.d a.pla.. a.pe- troleum system ha. either a.number of migra.ion-a.cumula.ion systems or one system only. However, the key element of a.petroleum system is the source of hydroca.bon; a.petroleum system ha.0} distinct hydroca.bon kitchen a.d is different from its neighboring ones in terms of hydroca.bon kitchens.
