Tension Leg Platform（TLP） is a hybrid structure used as oil drilling and production facility within water depths of 1200 m. The extension of this TLP concept to deeper waters is a challenge and warrants for some innovative design concepts. In this paper, a relatively new concept of TLP which is christened as Tension-Based Tension Leg Platform（TBTLP） and patented by srinivasan（1998） has been chosen for study. Response analysis of TLP with one tension base under irregular waves for three different sea states has been performed using hydrodynamic tool ANsYs？ AQWA？. Results are reported in terms of RAOs, response spectrums for surge, heave and pitch degrees of freedom from which spectral statistics have been obtained. The statistics of TBTLP have been compared with TLPs（without tension base） for two different water depths to highlight the features of the new concept. The effect of viscous damping and loading effects on the RAOs are also investigated.

To investigate the cytotoxic activity of actinomycete isolated from marine sediment. Methods: In the present study the DNA was isolated and the ITs region of 16s rRNA was amplified by polymerase chain reaction, using two universal bacterial primers, 1492R (5′-GGTTACCTTGTTAC GACTT-3′) and Eubac27F (5′-AGAGTTTGATCCTGGCTC AG-3′). The amplified products were purified using TIANgel mini purification kit, ligated to MD18-T simple vector (TaKaRa), and transformed into competent cells of Escherichia coli DH5α. 16s rRNA gene fragment was sequenced using forward primer M13F (-47) and reverse primer M13R (-48). Blast search sequence similarity was found against the existing non-redundant nucleotide sequence database thus, identified as streptomyces sp sU, streptomyces rubralavandulae strain sU1, streptomyces cacaoi strain sU2, streptomyces cavourensis strain sU3, streptomyces avidinii strain sU4, streptomyces globisporus strain sU5, streptomyces variabilis strain sU6, streptomycescoelicolor strain sU 7. Among the eight identified isolates, one actinomycete streptomyces avidinii strain sU4 was selected for further study. Results: Crude extract of the actinomycete isolate exhibited IC50 in 64.5 μg against Hep-2 cell line, 250 μg in VERO cell line. This value is very close to the criteria of cytotoxicity activity for the crude extracts, as established by the American National Cancer Institute (NCI) is in IC50 s analysis showed that the active principle might be 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, bis(2-methylpropyl) ester (12.17%), isooctyl phthalate (15.29%) with the retention time 15.642 and 21.612, respectively. Conclusions: This study clearly proves that the marine sediment derived actinomycetes with bioactive metabolites can be expected to provide high quality biological material for high throughout biochemical and anticancer screening programs. To achieve environmentally benign energy conversion with the carbon neutrality target via electrochemical reactions, the innovation of electrocatalysts plays a vital role in the enablement of renewable resources. Nowadays, Pt-based nanocrystals(NCs) have been identified as one class of the most promising candidates to efficiently catalyze both the half-reactions in hydrogen-and hydrocarbonbased fuel cells. Here, we thoroughly discuss the key achievement in developing shape-controlled Pt and Pt-based NCs, and their electrochemical applications in fuel cells. We begin with a mechanistic discussion on how the morphology can be precisely controlled in a colloidal system, followed by highlighting the advanced development of shape-controlled Pt, Pt-alloy, Pt-based core@shell NCs, Pt-based nanocages, and Pt-based intermetallic compounds. We then select some case studies on models of typical reactions(oxygen reduction reaction at the cathode and small molecular oxidation reaction at the anode) that are enhanced by the shape-controlled Pt-based nanocatalysts. Finally, we provide an outlook on the potential challenges of shape-controlled nanocatalysts and envision their perspective with suggestions.

Persons with diabetes who require surgical procedures are increasing day by *** of the regimens available to manage patients with diabetes perioperatively are ***,the junior doctors and the paramedics(Primary care providers on a 24/7 basis)find it difficult to execute *** need a simple regimen that can be executed in a primary care setting/general floor as it is becoming difficult to accommodate the patients in a sophisticated setting because of the increasing burden of the *** suggest a simple regimen in this article(Ram’s regimen)which we believe safer,economical and more effective than few simple regimens available to ***,this regimen does not require any additional equipment such as syringe pumps,measured-volume set,***,this regimen can be implemented in a primary care setting/general floor easily and we hope that it will be useful for doctors of various specialties and their patients.

A novel self-assembled pure and Mg doped ZnO nano-particles （NPs） were successfully synthesized by a simple low temperature co-precipitation method. The prepared photocatalysts were characterized by X-ray diffraction, high resolution scanning electron mi- croscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and photoluminescence （PL） spectroscopy. The results indicated that the prepared photocatalysts showed high crystallinity with a uniform size distribution of the NPs. The degradation of cholorphenols is highly mandatory in today＇s scenario as they are affecting the environment adversely. Thus, the photocatalytic degradation of 4-chlorophenol （4-CP）, a potent endocrine disrupting chemical in aqueous medium was investigated by both pure and Mg-doped ZnO NPs under UV-light irradiation in the present study. The influence of the Mg content on the structure, morphology, PL character and photocatalytic activity of ZnO NPs were investigated systematically. Furthermore,the effect of different parameters such as 4-CP concentration, photocatalyst amount, pH and UV-light wavelength on the resulting photocatalytic activity was investigated.

A physical hypothesis for the electrical coupling of the troposphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere has been proposed. It is shown that the vertical mass exchange takes place in the troposphere, ionosphere and magnetosphere by the gravity wave feedback mechanism through a chain of eddy systems. The vertical mass exchange gives rise to a vertical aerosol current which is responsible for the generation and maintenance of atmospheric electric field and also the variations in the H-component of the geomagnetic field. Any perturbation in the troposphere would be transmitted to ionosphere and vice versa. A global perturbation in ionosphere, as the one caused by solar variability, is transmitted to troposphere influencing weather systems/geomagnetic/atmospheric electrification *** theory relating to the above physical mechanism is discussed. Objective:To identify the larvicidal activities of silver nano particles synthesised with Rhizophora mucronata（***） leaf extract against the larvae of Aedes aegypti（***） and Culex quinquefasciatus（***）.Methods:In vitro larvicidal activities such as LCsub>50sub> and LCsub>90sub> were assessed for the *** and *** larval ***, characterisation such as UV,XRD,FTIR and AFM analysis were carried out for the synthesised silver nano ***:The LCsub>50sub> value of the synthesised silver nano particle was identified as 0.585 and 0.891 mgg/L for *** and *** larvae respectively. Further,the LGsub>90sub> values are also identified as 2.615 and 6.291 mg/L for *** and Cx. quinquefasciatus species *** synthesised silver nanoparticles have maximum absorption at 420 nm with the average size of 60-95 *** XRD data showed 20 intense values with various degrees such as 37.10°,47.66°,63.97°and 70.01°.The FTIR data showed prominent peaks in（3 426.89,2 925.49,2 869.56,2 346.95,1 631.49,1 031.73,669.18 and 455.12） different ***:The biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles with leaf aqueous extract of R. mucronata provides potential source for the larvicidal activity against mosquito borne diseases.
