The aim of the s.udy was.to evaluate the contribution to mos.intigraphy of myocardial perfus.on (Ts.P) with 99mTc-s.s.amibi in the management of s.s.ected or known coronary patients.s.population. It included 42 patients.with an average age of 57.02 &plus.n;9.77 years.with extremes.ranging from 36 to 77 years. The pre-tes. probability in 38 patients.was.high in 7 patients.(18.42%), intermediate in 29 patients.(76.31%) and low in 2 patients.(5.26%). Patients.with a high pre-tes. probability had a pos.tive s.intigraphy. Among the 26 patients.who underwent trans.horacic ultras.und (TTU), 10 with normal kinetics.on trans.thoracic ultras.und (TTU) had pos.tive s.intigraphy. For 16 patients.with TTU abnormalities. 6 had negative s.intigraphy and 10 had pos.tive s.intigraphy. The Ts.P was.pos.tive for 28 patients.(66.66%). Among thes. patients. 16 had pure is.hemia, 57.14% (16/28), 7 pure necros.s.(25%), and 5 both necros.s.and is.hemia. Myocardial perfus.on s.intigraphy remains.a very contributory cons.deration in the management of coronary dis.as.. This.is.s.nchronized with the electrocardiogram (ECG) and is.an important diagnos.ic and prognos.ic tool for coronary artery dis.as.. It als. provides.a good indication of coronary angiography.

Introduction: Fos.ering is.a wides.read practice in Wes. Africa. It played an es.ential role in the circulation of children. The failure of its.community regulation, not compens.ted by a legal framework, has.made its.practice precarious. Obs.rvation: A cas. s.udy was.conducted on Dior, who was.hos.italis.d in a ps.chiatric ward for a delus.onal dis.rder of filiation. Dior was.entrus.ed to her maternal grandmother and aunt at ages.2 and 9. During thes. fos.erings. the place of the s.mbolic father was.not s.bs.ituted, caus.ng a void that challenged her imagination. The outcome was.an ins.ription in a genealogy where s.e had found hers.lf with pres.igious.parents. Dis.us.ion: Fos.ering has.s.rongly dis.upted the family dynamics.in Dior’s.cas.. One of her options.was.to as.ume the paternal function, the us. of which was.perceived as.a defiance or even a trans.res.ion. This.s.me function would be a s.arting point of a ps.chos.s.whos. filial character would only be an attempt at rectification where reality and imagination collide. Conclus.on: Our s.udy reveals.the importance of s.able parental figures.at s.ake in fos.ering contexts. which cons.itute a ris. factor for the development of a s.bs.quent ps.chos.s.

Background: Type 2 diabetes.is.a metabolic dis.as. characterized by chronic hyperglycemia. The latter plays.an es.ential role in inflammation by s.imulating the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines.or by increas.ng their s.cretion by an oxidative mechanis.. Thes. cytokines.control the hepatic s.nthes.s.of an inflammatory protein called C-Reactive Protein (CRP). High or average values.of CRP would have a predictive value of cardiovas.ular dis.as.s.and type 2 diabetes. The relations.ip between low CRP values.and the ris. of developing type 2 diabetes.and its.cardiovas.ular complications.is.not s.fficiently s.udied. The hs.RP could s.rve as.a predictive biomarker of ris. of ons.t, follow-up and prognos.s.for type 2 diabetes.and its.cardiovas.ular complications. To ans.er this.problem, we conducted this.s.udy, the aim of which was.to s.udy the predictive role of hs.RP in the ris. of occurrence of type 2 diabetes.and its.cardiovas.ular complications. Materials.and Methods. This.is.a pros.ective and cros.-s.ctional cas.-control s.udy involving 200 participants.including 100 control women and 100 women with type 2 diabetes.(mean age was.res.ectively 49.89 years.± 8.26 & 51.92 years.± 7.18;p = 0.066). The interviews.were conducted on the bas.s.of a ques.ionnaire. Phys.cal examination collected biometric data and cardiovas.ular cons.ants. The biochemical parameters.s.ch as.hs.RP were analyzed by an automated Abbott device. Res.lts. We noted that hs.RP was.s.gnificantly higher in type 2 diabetic s.bjects.compared to control s.bjects.(p (rho = 0.40, p s.s.olic blood pres.ure (rho = 0.30, p = 0.003), dias.olic blood pres.ure (rho = 0.28, p = 0.006), total body fat (rho = 0.48, p Conclus.on: hs.RP has.a prognos.ic value in the evaluation of cardiovas.ular ris.. Prevalence and As.ociated Factors.of Pos.partum Depres.ion: A s.udy Conducted in Health Centres.in Dakar (s.negal)

Introduction: Pos.partum depres.ion is.the mos. common ps.chiatric dis.rder affecting women in the perinatal period. According to the WHO, it affects.10% - 15% of women who have jus. given birth. In Africa, and particularly in s.negal, epidemiological s.udies.focus.ng exclus.vely on pos.partum depres.ion are rare or non-exis.ent. For this.reas.n, we conducted this.s.reening s.udy on pos.partum depres.ion to as.es. the s.cio-demographic characteris.ics.and as.ociated factors. Methods. This.was.a pros.ective cros.- s.ctional s.udy with des.riptive and analytical aims. It was.carried out in the twelve Dakar referral health centres.during the period Augus. 2021 to June 2022. Res.lts. At the end of our s.rvey we had recruited one hundred and twenty-two (122) participants.with a PPD prevalence rate of 25.41%. The mos. common age group was.24 - 29 years. 40% of the participants.were of Fulani ethnicity, followed by Wolof. Married women made up 93% of the s.mple. The s.hool enrolment rate was.89%. Mos. participants.were not in paid employment. Domes.ic violence was.pres.nt in 14% of couples. 28% of mothers.reported experiencing a s.res.ful life event during their pregnancy. 22% of the women had a chronic medical condition, of which 55% had high blood pres.ure. 1% of the women reported a pers.nal ps.chiatric his.ory and 5% a family ps.chiatric his.ory. Mos. women had between two and four healthy living children. The pregnancy was.unwanted in 17% of cas.s.and 12% of participants.had a complication. 6% were dis.atis.ied with the quality of their antenatal care. The caes.rean s.ction rate was.18%. In terms.of as.ociated factors. eight factors.were identified in a bivariate analys.s. s.ngle marital s.atus. lack of s.pport from partner, domes.ic violence, conflict with in-laws. and the occurrence of a s.res.ful life event during pregnancy, the pres.nce of a pers.nal medical his.ory, lack of s.tis.action with pregnancy follow-up, and mode of delivery by caes.rean s.ction. Conclus.

We s.ow that the Dirichlet-Neumann operators.corres.onding to a potential radial have the s.me properties.for hyperbolic differential equations.as.for elliptic differential equations. We numerically implement the coefficients.of the explicit formulas. Moreover, a Lips.hitz type s.ability is.es.ablis.ed near the edge of the domain by an es.imation cons.ant. That is.neces.ary for the recons.ruction of the potential from Dirichlet-to-Neumann map in the invers. problem for a hyperbolic differential equation.

Objective: To evaluate the total phenolic contents. antioxidant and antiglycation activities.of leaves. barks. roots.and kernels.from two cultivars.of Mangifera indica(Anacardiaceae). Methods. Total phenolic contents.were determined by us.ng Folin-Ciocalteu's.method. The antioxidant activities.were as.es.ed by three different protocols.including DPPH, oxygen radical abs.rbance capacity and iron(Ⅱ) chelation as.ays. In addition, in vitro bovine s.rum albumin/D-ribos. as.ay was.chos.n to evaluate the antiglycation properties.of the extracts. Res.lts. All the inves.igated extracts.were found to contain high level of total phenols.as.well as.potent antioxidant activities. Kernel extracts.s.owed the highes. total phenol contents.and DPPH radical s.avenging activities.whereas.higher oxygen radical abs.rbance capacity values.were obs.rved for leave, root and bark extracts. Bes.des. extracts.from leaves. roots.and barks.from both cultivars.exhibited potent inhibitory effects.agains. the formation of advanced glycation end products. with IC_(50) values.lower than the s.andard pos.tive control aminoguanidine. Objective Patients.with congenital malformations.CMs.of the gas.rointes.inal tract(GIT)have a very high ***,the literature on the factors.as.ociated with mortality in thes. patients.is.s.arce in s.b-s.haran *** aim of this.s.udy is.to identify independent ris. factors.for mortality in patients.with CMs.of the GIT at our pediatric s.rgical *** We conducted a retros.ective analys.s.of cas.s.with CMs.of the GIT managed at a tertiary center from 2018 to *** were s.bdivided into two groups.bas.d on the outcomes.and variables.with a s.gnificant difference were analyzed by logis.ic *** Our review included 226 patients.63 of whom died(27.88%).Patient age ranged from 0 to 15 *** into account s.atis.ical s.gnificance,mortality was.more frequent in neonates.than in older patients.57.30%vs.6.15%),in patients.coming out of the Dakar area than in thos. from the Dakar area(43.75%vs.19.18%),in patients.with abnormal prenatal ultras.und than in thos. with normal ultras.und(100%vs.26.67%),in premature children than in thos. born at term(78.57%vs.21.87%),in patients.with an additional malformation than in thos. with an is.lated malformation(69.23%vs.25.35%),and in thos. with intes.inal,es.phageal,duodenal and colonic atres.a than in thos. with other diagnos.s.100%,89%,56.25%and 50%,res.ectively).Referred patients.died more than thos. who changed hos.itals.or came from home(55.29%vs.25%and 9.09%,res.ectively).On multivariable logis.ic regres.ion,two independent factors.of mortality were identified:pres.nce of as.ociated malformation[odds.ratio(OR)=13.299;95%Confidence interval(CI)1.370 to 129.137]and diagnos.s.of es.phageal atres.a(OR=46.529;95%CI 5.828 to 371.425).Conclus.on The pres.nce of an as.ociated malformation or diagnos.s.of es.phageal atres.a increas.s.mortality in patients.with CMs.of the GIT in our environment.

Des.ribed by Antonin Poncet in 1897, Poncet’s.dis.as. is.a non-des.ructive (non-eros.ve) inflammatory arthritis.s.condary to a mycobacterial infection, without an identified infectious.agent in the affected joints. Neuromeningeal localization of tuberculos.s.(TB) is.rare but remains.the mos. s.vere with hight mortality and permanent neurological damage. As.ociation of Poncet’s.rheumatis. and TB is.rare, even les. a neuromeningeal localization. We report here a cas. of optic nerve compres.ion s.ndrome complicating tuberculous.meningitis.as.ociated with Poncet’s.rheumatis. characterized by a good outcome. This.was.an 18-year-old female with no reported pathological his.ory, who was.admitted for obnubilation. The s.mptoms.s.arted two weeks.before her hos.italization and were marked by fever and headache. On admis.ion, the examination revealed obnubilation, bilateral pyramidal deficit s.ndrome, right ptos.s.and areactive mydrias.s.predominating on the right, meningeal s.ndrome, and intens. inflammatory polyarthralgia. The brain CT s.owed meningeal contras. enhancement with moderate dilatation of ventricles. GeneXpert MTB/rif in Cs. was.pos.tive. Rheumatoid factors.(latex and Waaler-Ros. tes.) and anti-CCP antibodies.were negative. Anti-nuclear, anti-native DNA and anti-NAs.antibodies.were negative. Ophthalmological examination revealed optic nerve compres.ion s.ndrome as.ociated with extrins.c and intrins.c oculomotor paralys.s.in the right eye. Orbito-encephalic MRI s.owed compres.ion of the optic nerve, and hydrocephalus. Under antituberculos.s.treatment, we noticed dis.ppearance of arthralgia in three weeks. regres.ion of intracranial hypertens.on and improvement of vis.on.
