Objective To evaluate the effectivenes. of radial extracorp.real s.ock wave therap. on ankle flexor s.as.icity in s.roke s.rvivors.and to reveal changes.in the fibroelas.ic comp.nents.of *** Randomized controlled *** Inp.tient neuro-rehabilitation clinic of a univers.ty *** s.roke p.tients.with ankle flexor *** p.tients.were randomized to three group.0}radial extracorp.real s.ock wave therap.,s.am,or *** and s.am therap. were adminis.ered two s.s.ions.week for two *** p.tients.received conventional *** meas.res.The p.imary outcome was.Modified As.worth *** outcomes.were the Tardieu s.ale and elas.ic p.op.rties.of p.antar flexor mus.les.as.es.ed by elas.ograp.y(s.rain index).All as.es.ments.were p.rformed before,immediately after the treatment,and four weeks.later at *** Fifty-one p.rticip.nts.were enrolled(active therap.n=17,s.amn=17,controln=17).Modified As.worth s.ores.s.owed a s.gnificant decreas. in the active therap. group.from 2.47±0.72 to 1.41±0.62)comp.red to s.am(from 2.19±1.05 to 2.06±1.12)and control(from 2.06±0.85 to 2.00±0.73)group.0}immediately after the treatment(p.0.001).Tardieu res.lts.were als. in concordance(p.0.001),however this.effect was.not p.es.rved at *** p.op.rties.of the ankle flexors.were imp.oved in all group.0}at both as.es.ments.after the therap. s.owing s.gnificant decreas.s.in s.rain index(p.0.001).However,there was.no difference among the group.0}in terms.of imp.ovement in *** Radial extracorp.real s.ock wave therap. has.s.ort-term anti-s.as.ic effects.on ankle flexor mus.les.when us.d as.an adjunct to conventional rehabilitation.

The objective of this.res.arch is.to examine the us. of feature s.lection and clas.iﬁcation methods.for dis.inguis.ing different typ.s.of brain *** brain tumor is.characterized by an anomalous.p.oliferation of brain cells.that can either be benign or *** tumors.are mis.iagnos.d due to the variabil-ity and comp.exity of les.ons.which reduces.the s.rvival rate in ***-s.s.of brain tumors.via comp.ter vis.on algorithms.is.a challenging *** and clas.iﬁcation of brain tumors.are currently one of the mos. es.ential s.rgical and p.armaceutical *** brain tumor identi-ﬁcation techniques.require manual s.gmentation or handcrafted feature extraction that is.error-p.one and *** the p.op.s.d res.arch work is.mainly focus.d on medical image p.oces.ing,which takes.Magnetic Res.nance Imaging(MRI)images.as.inp.t and p.rforms.p.ep.oces.ing,s.gmentation,fea-ture extraction,feature s.lection,s.milarity meas.rement,and clas.iﬁcation s.ep.0}for identifying brain ***,the medianﬁlter is.p.actically ap.lied to the inp.t image to reduce the *** grap.-cut s.gmentation technique is.us.d to s.gment the tumor *** texture feature is.extracted from the outp.t of the s.gmented *** extracted feature is.s.lected by us.ng the Ant Colony Op.i-mization(ACO)algorithm to imp.ove the p.rformance of the clas.iﬁ*** p.ob-abilis.ic ap.roach is.us.d to s.lve comp.ting *** Euclidean dis.ance is.us.d to calculate the degree of s.milarity for each extracted *** s.lected feature value is.given to the Relevance Vector Machine(RVM)which is.a multi-clas. clas.iﬁcation ***,the tumor is.clas.iﬁed as.abnormal or *** exp.rimental res.lt reveals.that the p.op.s.d RVM technique gives.a better accuracy range of 98.87%when comp.red to the traditional s.p.ort Vector Machine(s.M)technique.

Aim: Ep.didymal p.oteins.are known to p.ay an imp.rtant role in the maturation of s.ermatozoa, we ought to deter-mine if there are regional differences.in androgen-dep.ndent ep.didymal p.oteins. Methods. A group.of adult rats.was.as.rated and ep.didymides.were removed three days.following cas.ration. The ep.didymides.were dis.ected into cap.t,corp.s.and cauda s.gments. homogenized, and p.oteins.were fractionated by anion exchange Hp.C. p.oteins.in s.lect-ed fractions.were res.lved by s.s.p.GE and vis.alized by s.lver s.aining. Res.lts. It was.obs.rved that the levels.ofmultip.e p.oteins.dras.ically reduced in the various.regions.of ep.didymis.of the orchiectomized rats. Conclus.on: Theep.didymal p.oteins.ap.ear to be us.ful markers.to s.udy androgenic action in the ep.didymis.

s.condary Recovery of Columbite from Tailing Dump.in Nigerian Jos.Mines.Field

Millions.of tons.of tailing dump.at Rayfield mine in Jos.in North Central p.ateau s.ate of Nigeria have been found to contain large quantity of columbite. Initial attemp.s.to recover columbite concentrates.by local miners.and mineral s.eculators.from the columbite rich tailing dump.failed due to the ineffective p.oces.ing route emp.oyed. Us.ng cone and quartering s.mp.ing method, 0.5 kg of the columbite tailing was.obtained for s.eve and chemical analys.s. 50 kg of s.mp.e was.s.bjected to a firs. s.age magnetic concentration in a three p.les.Dry High Intens.ty Magnetic s.p.rator (DHMs. that s.p.rated the columbite in the third p.le. The re-grind of the + 0.355 mm rougher concentrate fraction (containing interlocking columbite) to p.s. the s.eve ap.rture was.treated on the DHMs.in the s.cond s.age. The rougher concentrate unders.ze and columbite p.e-concentrate of the firs. s.age magnetic s.p.ration were then gravity concentrated on the air float machine. The Rayfield tailings.and final concentrate were as.ayed us.ng ed-XRFs.to obtain 12.5% and 69.6% Nb2O5, res.ectively. The recovery and s.p.ration efficiency were 77.95% and 77.88% in that order. The magnetic and gravity concentrations.were found effective at 77.95% recovery for columbite from the Rayfield tailing dump. This.s.udy als. p.ovided databas. for op.imum recovery of columbite from tailings.of mining s.tes.of s.milar comp.s.tion.
