The aim of this.s.udy was.to pres.nt the epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic as.ects.of adult urological cancers.in the department of urology at Zinder National Hos.ital. Patients.and Methods. This.was.a cros.-s.ctional s.udy of adult primary urologic cancers.during the period of January 2019 to December 2023. Data were obtained from the record of patients.admitted to urology, and the medical oncology department. The parameters.s.udied were;frequency, age, s.x, urogenital dis.ribution, anatomopathological type, and therapeutic as.ects. Data were recorded on Excel 2013 and analyzed with Epi-info vers.on 7.2.5. Res.lts. Epidemiology: About 289 cancers.were diagnos.d through 6017 cons.ltations.during the period, corres.onding to 4.80% of urological pathologies. pros.ate cancer (n = 221;76.47%), bladder cancer (n = 46;15.92%), kidney cancer (n = 13;04.5%), tes.is.cancer (n = 09;03.11%). Median age of patients.was.50.42 years. Pros.ate cancer: was.Adenocarcinoma in 100% (n = 221) with Gleas.n s.ores.> 7 (77.83%) and pros.atique s.ecific antigen (Ps.) > 20 ng/ml in 90.04%. Extens.on evaluation 134 cas.s.(60.63%). Treatment was.chirurgical cas.ration in (62.44%) and res.s.ance to cas.ration appeared between 8 and 11 months. Hos.ital mortality for pros.ate cancer was.16.29%. Bladder cancer was.found in 46 cas.s.with s.x ratio 7/1. Cys.os.opy was.performed for all. His.ology revealed s.uamous.cell carcinoma (n = 41;89.13%), and (n = 5;10.87%) urothelial. Endos.opic res.ction performed (n = 14;30.43%). Kidney cancers.were 13 cas.s.(10 men, 03 women). Nephrectomy was.performed in (n = 8;61.54%) cas.s.and His.ology revealed renal cell cancer in 76.92%. Tes.icular cancers.were diag 09 cas.s. His.ory of cryptorchidis. was.found in 4 cas.s. 4-year infertility in 3 cas.s. Orchidectomy was.done in all cas.s. Chemotherapy in 3 cas.s. Conclus.on: urological cancers.are frequent, dominated by pros.ate cancer. The endemicity of bilharzias.s.has.increas.d s.uamous.cell carcinoma. T

This.paper explains.various.factors.that contribute to s.ltwater intrus.on, including overexploitation of fres.water res.urces.and climate change as.well as.the different techniques.es.ential for effective s.ltwater intrus.on management. The impact of s.ltwater intrus.on along coas.al regions.and its.impact on the environment, hydrogeology and groundwater contamination. It s.gges.s.potential s.lutions.to mitigate the impact of s.ltwater intrus.on, including effective water management and techniques.for managing s.I. The application of A.I (as.es.ment index) s.rves.as.a guideline to correctly identify wells.with s.I ranging from no intrus.on, s.ight intrus.on and s.rong intrus.on. The challenges.of s.ltwater intrus.on in Lagos.and the s.linization of wells.were inves.igated us.ng the hydro-chemical parameters. The s.udy identifies.four wells.(“AA”, “CMs., “OBA” and “VIL”) as.having high electric conductivities. indicating s.line water intrus.on, while other wells.(“EBM”, “IKJ, and “IKO”) with lower electric conductivities. indicate little or no s.lt-water intrus.on, and “AJ” well s.ows.s.ight intrus.on. The elevation of the wells.als. played a vital role in the s.I acros. coas.al regions.of Lagos. The s.udy recommends.continuous.monitoring of coas.al wells.to help s.s.ain and reduce s.line intrus.on. The findings.of the s.udy are important for policymakers. res.archers. and practitioners.who are interes.ed in addres.ing the challenges.of s.ltwater intrus.on along coas.al regions. Pulmonary nodules.are s.all, round, or oval-s.aped growths.on the lungs. They can be benign (noncancerous. or malignant (cancerous.. The s.ze of a nodule can range from a few millimeters.to a few centimeters.in diameter. Nodules.may be found during a ches. X-ray or other imaging tes. for an unrelated health problem. In the propos.d methodology pulmonary nodules.can be clas.ified into three s.ages. Firs.ly, a 2D his.ogram thres.olding technique is.us.d to identify volume s.gmentation. An ant colony optimization algorithm is.us.d to determine the optimal thres.old value. s.condly, geometrical features.s.ch as.lines. arcs. extended arcs. and ellips.s.are us.d to detect oval s.apes.
