Corona is a viral disease that has taken the form of an epidemic and is causing havoc worldwide after its first appearance in the Wuhan state of China in December *** to the similarity in initial symptoms with viral fever,it is challenging to identify this virus ***-detection of this virus at the early stage results in the death of the *** and densely populated countries face a scarcity of resources like hospitals,ventilators,oxygen,and healthcare *** like the Internet of Things(IoT)and artificial intelligence can play a vital role in diagnosing the COVID-19 virus at an early *** minimize the spread of the pandemic,IoT-enabled devices can be used to collect patient’s data remotely in a secure *** data can be analyzed through a deep learning model to detect the presence of the COVID-19 *** this work,the authors have proposed a three-phase model to diagnose covid-19 by incorporating a chatbot,IoT,and deep learning *** phase one,an artificially assisted chatbot can guide an individual by asking about some common *** case of detection of even a single sign,the second phase of diagnosis can be considered,consisting of using a thermal scanner and pulse *** case of high temperature and low oxygen saturation levels,the third phase of diagnosis will be recommended,where chest radiography images can be analyzed through an AI-based model to diagnose the presence of the COVID-19 virus in the human *** proposed model reduces human intervention through chatbot-based initial screening,sensor-based IoT devices,and deep learning-based X-ray *** also helps in reducing the mortality rate by detecting the presence of the COVID-19 virus at an early stage.

Objective:To compare the efficacy and safety outcomes of different antileishmanial agents used in visceral leishmaniasis clinical ***:A systematic literature search in PubMed/MEDLInE,EMBAsE,Cochrane,and Google scholar was done using keywords“randomized controlled trials”,“antileishmanial”and“visceral leishmaniasis”.The outcomes included were cure rate,overall withdrawals,relapse rate,and treatment-emergent adverse *** estimates through the frequentist network meta-analysis approach were presented as OR with 95%*** plots were used for identifying the“best intervention”based on p-scores obtained using the surface under the cumulative *** risk of bias was evaluated by using Pedro ***:seventeen randomized controlled trials with 5143 visceral leishmaniasis patients who received different antileishmanial agents(amphotericin B,miltefosine,paromomycin,meglumine antimoniate,sodium stibogluconate,sitamaquine,and pentavalent antimonials)and met the inclusion criteria were *** efficacy outcomes of the treatments,the rankogram of the network meta-analysis revealed that paromomycin(p-score=0.8148)has the highest probability of being best in the pool,followed by sodium stibogluconate(OR 0.82,95%CI 0.24-2.79,p-score=0.7580),amphotericin B+miltefosine(OR 0.66,95%CI 0.02-19.04,p-score=0.7329)as compared to the remaining treatments;however,the most of the treatment-emergent adverse events were reported with ***:Paromomycin reported the highest cure rates,while the maximum treatment-emergent adverse events were seen with sitamaquine.

Background:This study investigated a novel in ovo feeding strategy to determine the prebiotic effects of xylo-and mannan-oligosaccharides(XOs and MOs)differing in the degree of polymerization.A total of 192 fertilized eggs were divided into 6 treatment groups:i)normal saline control(nsC),ii)xylotriose(XOs3),iii)xylotetraose(XOs4),iv)mannotriose(MOs3),v)mannotetraose(MOs4),and vi)no injection control(nIC),each containing 4 replicate trays with 8 eggs per *** d 17 of incubation,3 mg of oligosaccharides(except for controls)dissolved in 0.5 mL of 0.85%normal saline were injected into the amnion of Cobb 500 broilers *** hatch,the chicks were raised for 28 d under standard husbandry practices and were fed a commercial broilers diet ad libitum,and samples were collected ***:The hatchability,growth performance,and relative weights of breast,drumstick,liver,and proventriculus were not different among the treatments(P>0.05).The XOs3 injection increased the total short-chain fatty acid production at d 28 compared with both control groups(Ps height to crypt depth ratio was significantly higher in the XOs4 group than both controls on the hatch day(Pnot different among any treatments on d 7 and 28(P>0.05).On the hatch day,the expression level of the CD3 gene(a T cell marker)was increased by XOs3,while the IL-10 gene(a marker of anti-inflammatory cytokine)was reduced by MOs4(Pntrols,XOs3 exhibited a trend of reduction for IL-10(P=0.074).no cytokines or lymphocyte markers were affected by the treatments on d 7(P>0.05),except XOs4 increased IL-4 compared with nsC(Ps in the MOs4 group had higher operational taxonomic units(OTUs)and had more differentially abundant taxa,including order Lactobacillales and family Leuconostocaceae(Pn both controls on d *** predictive functional profiling indicated that the linoleic acid metabolism pathway w

Rabies is an acute encephalitis caused by a lyssavirus. It is primarily transmitted through bites of infected dogs which results in the worldwide death of an estimated 59000 humans every year. The disease is preventable through the application of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) and its elimination has been demonstrated in many countries by applying multiple interventions simultaneously. nonetheless, rabies is still widespread in many developing countries, primarily due to the poor implementation of intervention strategies that include inadequate dog-bite wound management practices, unavailability/unaffordability of PEP by the communities, failure to control the disease in free-roaming dogs and wildlife, improper dog population management, weak surveillance and diagnostic facilities and a lack of a One Health approach to the disease. In this review, strategies to control dog-mediated rabies through a One Health approach were discussed. We recommend applying multiple interventions against the disease by involving all the concerned stakeholders in selected urban and rural areas of the countries where rabies is endemic. An empirical demonstration of disease freedom in the selected areas through a One Health approach is needed to convince policymakers to invest in rabies prevention and control on the national level. This multifaceted One Health control model will enhance the likelihood of achieving the goal of global rabies eradication by 2030.

The pigments are vital parts of photosynthetic machinery in algae and exhibit a myriad of applications as nutraceuticals,cosmetics,colorants,which find huge applications in many industires,including the paint industry and paper *** antimicrobial,antioxidative,anti-inflammatory,and anti-cancer potential of microalgal pigments contribute towards their varied industrial *** this study,pigments(Fucoxanthin,C-phycocyanin,and C-phycoerythrin),extracted from microalgae were investigated to check the antimicrobial efficacy using agar well diffusion and disc diffusion methods against pathogenic bacteria:staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia *** fucoxanthin pigment isolated from diatom Thalassiosira *** the highest antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus(17±1.53 mm)and in contrast fucoxanthin pigment isolated from Chaetoceroes *** the highest bactericidal activity against Escherichia coli(18±1).The pigment extract of spirulina plantesis showed the highest antibacterial activity against ***(41±0.3)and *** also exhibited high antibacterial activity against ***(32±0.5)while Anabaena variabilis showed the highest antibacterial activity against staphylococcus aureus(34±0.5).The potential of microalgal pigments is highly valuable and further extensive studies can elaborate the underlying mechanisms.

Mercury(Hg) is well known as one of the most toxic elements to *** coastal environments adjacent to industrial areas are reported to often be contaminated with *** becomes more toxic in the form of methylmercury(Me-Hg) which is converted from inorganic mercury in aqueous systems by microbial activity and can bio-magnify through the food chain.A simple method for the determination of total mercury and methylmercury in sediments was optimized by slightly modifying an old method using the direct mercury analyzer *** sediment samples from Thane Creek,Mumbai,India were collected and analysed for total mercury and *** Hg concentration in the creek varied between 0.54 to 16.03 μg gwhile Me-Hg concentrations ranged between0.04 to 1.07 μg *** surface sediment,mercury concentrations ranged from 4.33 μg gto 12.16μg *** organic carbon content was found to be around 2 percent in different layers of the *** enrichment factors,which indicate the extent of pollution in sediments,were estimated to range from 26 to 50 at different locations in the *** and anthropogenic concentrations of mercury in the creek were also determined to compare the impact of anthropogenic and natural *** inventories were about 5-70 times more in concentration than the lithogenic in the different core sediments.

Background:neonatal jaundice is a common *** evaluated the utility and best cut-off values of 24-and 48-hour transcutaneous bilirubin indices (TcBI) in predicting subsequent significant hyperbilirubinemia and evaluated various associated maternal and fetal risk ***:TcBI at 24 and 48 hours and serum bilirubin levels at 72 hours of age were obtained for healthy,term,appropriate for gestational age *** with prematurity,birth weight ncompatibility,onset of clinical jaundice s,clinical suspicion of septicemia,positive pressure ventilation at birth,admission in neonatal intensive care unit and contraindications for BiliChek were ***-four and 48-hour TcB indices were assessed as predictors of subsequent hyperbilirubinemia,defined as serum bilirubin >17 mg/dL after 72 hours of life and various cut-offs,and were evaluated by calculating sensitivity,specificity and predictive ***:Of 500 newborns,4.6% had significant hyperbilirubinemia,27% had TcBI (mg/dL) s,and 27.4% had TeBI subsequent hyperbilirubinemia (100% negative predictive value).The percentage of newborns with subsequent hyperbilirubinemia increased from 3.4% to 13.2% as their 24-hour TcBI increased from 6 to above 9 mg/dL and from 4.2% to 7.4% as their 48-hour TcBI increased from 8 to above 11 mg/*** best cut-off value was TcBI (mg/dL) 7 (odd ratio=4.86,95% confidence interval:1.66-15.22) at 24 hours and 10 (odd ratio=2.87,95% confidence interval:1.04-8.29) at 48 *** under the receiver operating characteristic curve for 24-and 48-hour measurements was 0.750 and 0.715,*** premature rupture of membranes,deep transverse arrest,post-date pregnancy,and fetal distress were significant risk factors for ***:Twenty-four and 48-hour TcB indices are good predictors of subsequent ***-four-hour TcBI had better predictive abili

Black carbon（BC） particles play a unique and important role in earth’s climate *** was measured（in-situ） in the central part of the Indo-Gangetic Plains（IGP） at Varanasi,which is a highly populated and polluted region due to its topography and extensive emission *** annual mean BC mass concentration was 8.92 ± 7.0 μg m-3,with 34%of samples exceeding the average ***,BC was highest during the post-monsoon and winter periods（approximately 18 μg m-3） and lower in the premonsoon/monsoon seasons（approximately 6 μg m-3）.The highest frequency（approximately 46%） observed for BC mass was in the interval from 5 to 10 μg ***,during the post-monsoon season,the most common values（approximately 23%） were between 20 and 25 μg *** nighttime concentrations of BC were approximately twice as much as the daytime values because of lower boundary layer heights at *** Angstrom exponent was significantly positively correlated（0.55） with ground-level BC concentrations,indicating the impact of BC on the columnar aerosol *** estimated mean absorption Angstrom exponent was 1.02 ± 0.08 μg m-3,indicating that the major source of BC was from fossil fuel *** negative correlations between BC mass and meteorological parameters indicate a pronounced effect of atmospheric dynamics on the BC mass in this *** highest mean BC mass concentration（18.1 ± 6.9 μg m-3） as a function of wind speed was under calm wind conditions（38%of the time）.
