Comparison between two autorefractor performances in large scale vision screening in Chinese school age children

AIM:To evaluate the effectiveness of Grand Seiko Ref/Keratometer WAM-5500 compared to Topcon KR800 autorefractor in detecting refractive error in large scale vision screening for Chinese school age children with the WHO ***:A total of 886 participants were enrolled with mean age of 9.49±1.88 y from Tianjin,*** equivalent(SE)was obtained from un-cycloplegic autorefraction and cycloplegic *** KR 800(Topcon)and Grand Seiko WAM-5500(WAM)autorefractors were ***-Altman Plot and regression were generated to compare their *** overall effectiveness of detecting early stage refractive error was analyzed with receiver operating characteristic(ROC)***:The mean SE was-0.98±1.81 diopter(D)and the prevalence of myopia was 48.9%defined by WHO criteria according to the result of cycloplegic *** mean SE of un-cycloplegic autorefraction with Topcon and WAM were-1.21±1.65 and-1.20±1.68 D *** was a strong linear agreement between result obtained from WAM and cycloplegic autorefraction with an R2 of ***-Altman plot indicated a moderate agreement of cylinder values between the two *** sensitivity and specificity for detecting hyperopia were 90.52%and 83.51%;for detecting myopia were 95.60%and 90.24%;for detecting astigmatism were 79.40%and 90.21%;for detecting high myopia were 98.16%and 98.91%***:These findings suggest that both Grand Seiko and Topcon autorefractor can be used in large-scale vision screening for detecting refractive error in Chinese *** Seiko gives relatively better performance in detecting myopia,hyperopia,and high myopia for school age children.

BACKGROUND Acquired hemophilia A (AHA) is a rare and potentially severe bleeding disordercaused by circulating autoantibodies against factor Ⅷ (FⅧ). In approximately50% of the patients, the condition is associated with autoimmune diseases,cancers, medication use, pregnancy, and the post-partum period. Bullous pemphigoid(BP) is a chronic autoimmune subepidermal blistering disease associatedwith tissue-bound and circulating autoantibodies against BP antigens 180 (BP180)and 230 (BP230). AHA-associated BP has a high mortality rate;hence, the understandingof this disease must *** SUMMARY A 69-year-old man presented with erythema, blisters, blood blisters, and crustsaccompanied by severe pruritus for more than 20 days, and ecchymosis andswelling on his left upper arm for 3 days. Pathological examination revealed asubepidermal blister that contained eosinophils. Laboratory tests showed that theBP180 autoantibody levels had increased, isolated activated partial thromboplastintime was notably prolonged (115.6 s), and coagulation FⅧ activity wasextremely low (< 1.0%). Furthermore, the FⅧ inhibitor titer had greatlyincreased (59.2 Bethesda units). Therefore, the patient was diagnosed as having BP associated with AHA, prescribed 0.05% topical halometasone cream, and transferred to a higher-level hospitalfor effective treatment;however, he died after 2 *** AHA associated BP is rare, dangerous, and has a high mortality rate. Therefore, its timely diagnosis and effectivetreatment are necessary.

The Dunde iron-zinc polymetallic deposit is one of large iron deposits occurred in the Awulale Metallogenetic Belt,Western Tianshan(NW-China).This study reports new geochronology and geochemistry for granite in the Dunde mining area in order to constrain the tectonicmagmatic activities and metallogenesis of this *** in the southwest of Dunde mining area are mainly syenogranites intruded into volcanics of the Dahalajunshan Formation in the Early Carboniferous,and they are far from the area where ore bodies and mineralized altered rocks are widely ***-ICP-MS U–Pb zircon dating indicates that Dunde syenogranite was at 306.8±1.0 Ma,which could constrain the upper limit of metallogenic age for this *** Dunde granites are high SiO_(2)(73.41–80.07 wt%),high differentiation index(D.I.=89.7–95.0),weakly peraluminous to metaluminous(A/CNK=0.94–1.08),and they are enriched in LILE and LREE and depleted in Eu,Ba,Sr and P_(2)O_(5),indicating that they belong to highly fractionated Ⅰ-type *** on εHf values(+9.2 to+10.5)for zircon and high εNd(-t)values(+4.7 to+5.8)for whole-rock,and the two-stage model ages for 601–735 Ma,suggest that the magma source could be the juvenile lower *** with regional geological setting,the 306.8 Ma Dunde granites are formed in post-collision extensional tectonic setting.

Purpose:To evaluate the efectiveness of topical 5-aminolevulinie acid(ALA)-mediated pho-todynamic therapy(PDT)for the treatment of cutaneous lichen planus(LP).Methods:A total of 17 symptomatic LP lesions in 7 Chinese patients were *** cream(10%)was applied topically to LP lesions for *** lesions were iradiated with a 635 nm diode laser at the dose level of 100J/cm^(2).The treatment was repeated at two week *** assessmnent was conducted before each ***-up was performed once a month for up to six ***:Lesions showed significant improvement after one to four courses of *** response was achieved in 13 lesions(five patients)and partial remission in four lesions(two patients).The complete response rate was 71%.There was no significant side ffects except the feeling of pain that most patients could ***-up of five patients who achieved complete response showed no signs of ***:Topical ALA PDT is effective in the treatment of cutaneous LP.

This paper proposes a relative attitude and distance estimation algorithm based on pairwise range measurements between vehicles as well as inertial measurement of each platform. The solution of Wahba＇s Problem is introduced to compute the relative attitude between multi-platforms with the sampled pairwise ranges, in which the relative distance estimation is derived and the estimation error distributions are analyzed. An extended Kalman filter is designed to fuse the estimated attitude and distance with the inertial measurement of each platform. The relative poses between platforms are determined without any external aided measurement. To show this novelty, a real testbed is constructed by our research lab. And the experiment results are positive.

Starting from an initial sample of butene-1/ethylene copolymer with stable form I＇, we examined the nucleation of different crystalline polymorphs （here metastable form II and stable form I＇） at different isothermal crystallization temperatures after being melted at different melt temperature （Tmelt）. When Tmelt was just above the melting temperature （Tm） of the crystallites, self-seeding took place. There, residue crystallites served as nuclei leading to the crystallization of the same crystalline phase. When Tmelt was a few degrees above the Tin, self-seeding was disabled due to complete melting of the initial crystals. Upon crystallization, the selection of the different polymorphs in this random copolymer was found to depend on an interplay between the domain size of segregated long crystallizable sequences and the size and energy barrier of the critical nucleus of the respective crystalline forms. Our results provide a clear understanding of the polymorphs selection during crystallization of a random copolymer as well as homo-polymers under confinement.
