降低制动器噪声已成为制动器工程师们具有挑战性的任务。目前关于处理盘式制动器噪声方面已有许多建议,但过去在鼓式制动器系统方面解决方法很少。本文企图提出一种采用有限元方法通过改进结构,降低鼓式制动器噪声。开发并证实了一个真实鼓式制动器的三维有限元(FE)模型。首先用模拟的基本有限元模型预测噪声,然后再提出几个改进结构,最后对选择的改进模型进行动态不稳定过程分析,以便确认由复杂的固有值分析得出的预测结果。

The study explores the factors influencing attitude towards agricultural technology adoption among Permanent Food Production Park(PFPP)program participants in West Malaysia and the factors that influence their *** PFPP program is one of the programs introduced by the government of Malaysia with the objectives of increasing food production,as well as supporting local agriculture *** study employed a cross-sectional study design and has been conducted in four West Malaysian states with a sample of size of 275 *** results indicated that the respondents had a positive attitude towards technology adoption and factors such as knowledge and skill,benefit,education level,years of experience in agriculture and gross income had influenced their attitude.

Purpose: Glowacki and Mulliken (1982) described vascular lesions as hemangiomas and vascular malformations. Hemangiomas usually demonstrate endothelial hyperplasia and enlarge by cellular proliferation and usually appear in early infancy. They grow rapidly initially and then become stabilized. On the other hand, vascular malformations do not demonstrate cellular hyperplasia and they are always present at birth. They are collections of abnormal vessels with normal endothelium and mast cell count and they grow in proportion to body growth and never regress spontaneously. Methods:20 patients were seen at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre between July 2001 to January 2008 with vascular lesions in the oral cavity. There were 15 males and 5 females giving male: female ratio of 3:1. The age range was between l month old to 69 years old (mean age of 20.7). In relation to racial distribution, there were l0 Malays, 5 Indians and 5 Chinese patients. The vascular lesions involved the upper and lower lips including the commisures, buccal mucosa and the cheek, tongue, the mandible and maxilla. 14 patients were diagnosed with hemangioma (two cases of intraosseous hemangioma); 5 with vascular malformations [3 with venous malformations and 2 high flow arteriovenous malformations] and l patient with superficial angiomyxoma. 12 patients had treatment in the form of excision, serial excisions and embolization and excision; 4 patients did not have any active intervention as they were asymptomatic and 4 patients refused treatment. 2 patients presented with emergency condition i.e profused bleeding prior to diagnosis and they were both diagnosed with intmosseous hemangioma. Rothmund-Thomson syndrome, or RTS is a rare autosomal recessive disorder characterized by poikiloderma and variable presence of other pathognomonic clinical profiles involving the skeletal, ocular, malformations of ectodermal derived structures and increased risk of malignancy in particular of osteosarcoma。The genetic defect associated with mutated RECQL4 gene has been identified in patients with RTS。Case Presentation: We report a patient with RTS diagnosed at the age of 16 years old when he first presented with osteosarcoma of the right knee。He underwent chemotherapy and below knee amputation。A year later, he developed a second osteosarcoma of the left humerus。A second course of chemotherapy was started。He was well until 24 years old when he was diagnosed with well differentiated squamous cell carcinoma of the right side of the tongue and bilateral level II cervical lymphadenopathy。He was subjected for radiotherapy as he was unfit for surgery。He succumbed to disease nine months following diagnosis。

Purpose: To analyse the patient, tumour and treatment characteristics of buccal mucosa squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) at Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia。Methods: Patients' records from January 1998 to June 2006 were reviewed。Demographic data including gender, age, race, habits and family history were recorded。Tumour and treatment characteristics and current status of the patient were also recorded。Results: Ten cases of buccal mucosa cancer were recorded。The ratio of male to female patients was 1:1.5。The median age was 54 years old with age range between 38 to 76 years old。Majority of patients were Indians (n=6, 60%), followed by Chinese (n=3, 30%) and Malays (n=l, 10%)。The majority (60%) of patients presented with TI and T2 lesions while four (40%) presented with T4 lesions。Eighty percent had clinically enlarged lymph nodes, mostly N2 stage (50%)。None were found with N3 lymph node。Two patients were at StageⅡ, two at StageⅢwhile 6 patients were at StageⅣ。Betel nut chewing was a common risk factor identified (50%) followed by the use of tobacco whether it was chewed or smoked (30%)。All patients had surgical intervention with radiotherapy and half of the cases required reconstruction。The overall disease-flee survival was 50%。At the last review, 3 patients were dead, 2 are still living with disease, and 5 patients showed no evidence of recurrence。Conclusion: Carcinoma of the buccal mucosa, though not the most common form of oral carcinoma, remains a threat especially to ethnic Indians。There is a strong association of buccal mucosa SCC and betel nut chewing and tobacco intake。

The incidence of dengue in Malaysia has shown an increasing trend since the year 2000. Vector control is the primary approach for dengue control in Malaysia. There is an urgent need for new or modified approaches such as the residual spraying on the outer walls that can potentially last long enough to control the Aedes population, particularly in the outbreak-prone areas. In this field study, we conducted outdoor residual spraying (ORS) using a newly formulated polymer-enhanced suspension concentrate (SC-PE) of deltamethrin. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the efficacy of ORS using deltamethrin SC-PE and its effect on wild Aedes populations and to assess its residual bio-efficacy on painted cement walls against the pyrethroid-susceptible strains of laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes. Three rounds of spraying in a four-month cycle were conducted between 2014 and 2015 in four residential areas (low-rise and high-rise housing types) in Hulu Langat, Selangor. The bio-efficacy of the insecticide was evaluated by assessing its impact on vector population using ovitrap surveillance. Standard WHO wall deposit bioassay was adapted to determine bio-efficacy of deltamethrin, i.e. post 30 min knockdown and post 24 h mortality after exposure. During the treatment period, we observed significant reductions in the population of Ae. albopictus in the sprayed low-rise housing in both semi-indoor and outdoor environments, while in the high-rise housing, there was also a significant decline in Ae. aegypti population in the semi-indoor environment. The evaluation of the residual bio-efficacy of deltamethrin SC-PE against laboratory-reared Aedes mosquitoes showed that the insecticide lasted longer in the high-rise housing compared to the low-rise housing with >80% mortality achieved continuously for 16 weeks. We provide initial evidence on residual efficacy of deltamethrin SC-PE in reducing Aedes population size in the low-rise and high-rise housing. Our results showed tha
