Immunomodulatory Function of Pien Tze Huang in T Cell-Mediated Anti-tumor Activity against B16-F10,MC38 and Hep1-6 Tumor Models

Objective To investigate the anti-tumor effects of Pien Tze Huang(PZH)in mouse models of B16–F10 melanoma,MC38 colorectal cancer,Hep1-6 hepatocellular carcinoma and chemically induced hepatocellular carcinoma *** Various tumor models,including B16–F10,MC38 and Hep1-6 tumor hypodermic inoculation models,B16–F10 and Hep1-6 pulmonary metastasis models,Hep1-6 orthotopic implantation model,and chemically induced hepatocellular carcinoma model,were utilized to evaluate the anti-tumor function of *** growth was assessed by measuring tumor size and weight of solid tumors isolated from C57BL/6 *** cell proliferation and death of tumor cells in vitro,as well as T cell activation markers,cytokine production and immune checkpoints analysis,single-cell suspensions were prepared from mouse spleen,lymph nodes,and tumors after PZH *** PZH demonstrated significant therapeutic efficacy in inhibiting tumor growth(P0.05).Nevertheless,PZH exhibited a remarkable ability to enhance T cell activation and the production of interferon gamma,tumor necrosis factor alpha,and interleukin 2 in CD4^(+)T cells in vitro(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Importantly,PZH substantially inhibited T cell exhaustion and boosted cytokine production by tumor-infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion This study has confirmed a novel immunomodulatory function of PZH in T cell-mediated anti-tumor immunity,indicating that PZH holds promise as a potential therapeutic agent for cancer treatment.

Urea oxidation reaction(UOR)is proposed as an exemplary half-reaction in renewable energy applications because of its low thermodynamical ***,challenges persist due to sluggish reaction kinetics and complex by-products *** this end,we introduce the lattice oxygen oxidation mechanism(LOM),propelling a novel UOR route using a modified CoFe layered double hydroxide(LDH)catalyst termed *** calculations and in-situ characterizations highlight the activated lattice oxygen(O_(L))within CFRO-7 as pivotal sites for UOR,optimizing the reaction pathway and accelerating the *** the urea overall electrolysis application,the LOM route only requires a low voltage of 1.54 V to offer a high current of 100 mA cm^(-2) for long-term utilization(>48 h).Importantly,the by-product NCO^(-)−is significantly suppressed,while the CO_(2)2/N_(2) separation is efficiently *** work proposed a pioneering paradigm,invoking the LOM pathway in urea electrolysis to expedite reaction dynamics and enhance product selectivity.

Review on frost resistance and anti-clogging of pervious concrete

Pervious concrete is a special type of concrete that is of high porosity and contains no or a small amount of fine aggregate,and it is an important basic material for sponge city *** presence of a large number of connected pores inside pervious concrete leads to a marked difference in durability failure mechanism compared with that of ordinary *** this study,the frost resistance and anti-clogging of pervious concrete were introduced in detail,and the methods to improve their performance were summarized *** cracking pattern of pervious concrete is influenced by geometric characteristics and three-dimensional morphological features of pores,resulting in its crack generation,development,and geometry being significantly different from those of ordinary concrete,thus leading to different freeze-thaw cycle *** addition,due to its different pore structure compared to ordinary concrete,three types of clogging mechanisms,affecting the long-term permeability of pervious concrete were elaborated systematically(i.e.,physical clogging,biological clogging,and chemical clogging).And the ways to improve the anti-clogging of pervious concrete are systematically presented from multiple ***,in order to broaden the engineering applications of pervious concrete,some research proposals are presented in this study.

Regulation of interlayer channels of graphene oxide nanosheets in ultra-thin Pebax mixed-matrix membranes for CO_(2) capture

For the application of carbon capture by membrane process,it is crucial to develop a highly permeable CO_(2)-selective *** this work,we reported an ultra-thin polyether-block-amide(Pebax)mixedmatrix membranes(MMMs)incorporated by graphene oxide(GO),in which the interlayer channels were regulated to optimize the CO_(2)/N_(2) separation *** membrane preparation conditions were systematically investigated on the influence of the membrane structure and separation performance,including the lateral size of GO nanosheets,GO loading,thermal reduction temperature,and *** results demonstrated that the precisely regulated interlayer channel of GO nanosheets can rapidly provide CO_(2)-selective transport channels due to the synergetic effects of size sieving and preferential *** GO/Pebax ultra-thin MMMs exhibited CO_(2)/N_(2) selectivity of 72 and CO_(2) permeance of 400 GPU(1 GPU=106 cm^(3)(STP)·cm^(2)·s^(-1)·cmHg^(-1)),providing a promising candidate for CO_(2) capture.

DLF-YOLOF:an improved YOLOF-based surface defect detection for steel plate

Surface defects can affect the quality of steel *** methods based on computer vision are currently applied to surface defect detection of steel ***,their real-time performance and object detection of small defect are still *** improved object detection network based on You Only Look One-level Feature(YOLOF)is proposed to show excellent performance in surface defect detection of steel plate,called ***,the anchor-free detector is used to reduce the network ***,deformable convolution network and local spatial attention module are introduced into the feature extraction network to increase the contextual information in the feature ***,the soft non-maximum suppression is used to improve detection accuracy ***,data augmentation is performed for small defect objects during training to improve detection *** show the average precision and average precision for small objects are 42.7%and 33.5%at a detection speed of 62 frames per second on a single GPU,*** shows that DLF-YOLOF has excellent performance to meet the needs of industrial real-time detection.

Emotion classification in textual conversations focuses on classifying the emotion of each utterance from textual *** is becoming one of the most important tasks for natural language processing in recent ***,it is a challenging task for machines to conduct emotion classification in textual conversations because emotions rely heavily on textual *** address the challenge,we propose a method to classify emotion in textual conversations,by integrating the advantages of deep learning and broad learning,namely *** aims to provide a more effective solution to capture local contextual information(i.e.,utterance-level)in an utterance,as well as global contextual information(i.e.,speaker-level)in a conversation,based on Convolutional Neural Network(CNN),Bidirectional Long Short-Term Memory(Bi-LSTM),and broad *** experiments have been conducted on three public textual conversation datasets,which show that the context in both utterance-level and speaker-level is consistently beneficial to the performance of emotion *** addition,the results show that our proposed method outperforms the baseline methods on most of the testing datasets in weighted-average F1.

Temporal and Spatial Trends in HIV Positivity Rate for VCT Clinics—China,2015–2022

Introduction:Human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)voluntary counseling and testing(VCT)clinics play a critical role in identifying and diagnosing HIV *** study aimed to describe the trend of HIV positivity rate(HPR)among Chinese VCT clinics between 2015 and ***:This study utilized data from the China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention to analyze the trend in the HPR for VCT clinics from 2015 to *** HPR was calculated by dividing the number of newly-reported HIV cases by the number of HIV tests,multiplied by 100%.To identify temporal and spatial trends in the HPR,we employed joinpoint regression analysis and the Getis-Ord hotspot ***:From 2015 to 2022,VCT clinics in China performed a total of 22,075,386 HIV tests,leading to the identification of 260,353 HIV cases,resulting in a HPR of 1.18%.The HPR consistently declined over the study period,with an average annual percent change(AAPC)of−7.5%(95%confidence interval:−12.6%,−2.2%,P<0.05).The number of HPR hotspots also decreased from 41 in 2015 to 23 in *** HPR hotspots were primarily located in Yunnan,Sichuan,Guangdong,and Guangxi provincial-level administrative divisions(PLADs).Among the 31 PLADs,16 showed a significant decrease in HPR during the study period(AAPC<0,PAAPC<0.05).Conclusions:VCT clinics in China have played a significant role in identifying HIV *** declining HPR observed in these clinics may indicates the progress has been made in some degree in mitigating HIV among high-risk ***,it is crucial to further improving the utilization of VCT clinics for HIV testing.

Background:The Qingjiehuagong decoction(QJHGD),which has been used in clinical trials to treat acute pancreatitis(AP),has demonstrated encouraging ***:In this particular investigation,we used both metabolomics and network pharmacology to investigate the fundamental processes and targets that QJHGFD employs to cure ***:Using a cerulein-induced rat model of AP,we showed that QJHGD effectively improved pancreatic tissue damage and reduced serum levels of AMY,LPS,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8 and TNF-α.In total,28 blood entry compounds derived from QJHGD were identified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry *** intersecting target genes of 108 genes associated with identified compounds in QJHGD and AP disease genes were identified using a network pharmacology *** protein interaction network revealed AKT1,TNF-α,IL-6,VEGFA,and TP53 as important *** ontology analysis showed that response to stimulus,molecular function regulator and organelle part were the main functions,and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analysis showed that 20 pathways such as AGE-RAGE signaling pathway in diabetic complications and the IL-17 signaling pathway were the main pathways involved in the anti-AP effects of ***-two potential metabolic markers and 13 possible metabolic pathways were identified by metabolomics *** network pharmacological analysis revealed that QJHGD affects four metabolic pathways(tryptophan metabolism;glycolysis and gluconeogenesis metabolism;valine,leucine and isoleucine degradation metabolism;the urea cycle and metabolism of arginine,proline,glutamate,aspartate and asparagine),five metabolites(indole-3-acetate,pyruvate,methylmalonate,L-citrulline,N-acetyl-l-glutamate)and four related targets(AKT1,ALDH2,NOS2,NOS3)to combat *** strong affinity of QJHGD’s interactions with its primary targets was established by molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulations.C
