The silica opal templates were prepared from three silica colloids of different diameters of 230 nm, 500 nm and 1.5 mm by a filtration route. The large-scale stable opal template membranes after sintering the deposited SiO2 opal template can be successfully obtained by optimizing the pH value and NaCl concentration in silica colloidal solutions. The three-dimensionally ordered macroporous（3DOM） polyimide membranes without crack were fabricated by reproducing the structure of silica opal template. We prepared the pore-filling composite proton exchange membranes by filling the 3DOM structure with proton conducting organosilane sol. The result indicates that the composite membranes exhibit higher water uptake than pure filling organosilane gel. The proton conductivity increased with the increasing of pore cell in composite membranes.

Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(hUC-MSCs)are a promising candidate for spinal cord injury(SCI)repair owing to their advantages of low immunogenicity and easy accessibility over other MSC ***,modest clinical efficacy hampered the progression of these cells to clinical *** discrepancy may be due to many variables,such as cell source,timing of implantation,route of administration,and relevant efficacious cell dose,which are critical factors that affect the efficacy of treatment of patients with ***,we have evaluated the safety and efficacy of 4×10^(6) hUC-MSCs/kg in the treatment of subacute SCI by intrathecal implantation in rat *** search for a more accurate dose range for clinical translation,we compared the effects of three different doses of hUC-MSCs-low(0.25×10^(6) cells/kg),medium(1×10^(6) cells/kg)and high(4×10^(6) cells/kg)-on subacute SCI repair through an elaborate combination of behavioral analyses,anatomical analyses,magnetic resonance imaging-diffusion tensor imaging(MRI-DTI),biotinylated dextran amine(BDA)tracing,electrophysiology,and quantification of mRNA levels of ion channels and neurotransmitter *** study demonstrated that the medium dose,but not the low dose,is as efficient as the high dose in producing the desired therapeutic ***,partial restoration of theγ-aminobutyric acid type A(GABAA)receptor expression by the effective doses indicates that GABAA receptors are possible candidates for therapeutic targeting of dormant relay pathways in injured spinal ***,this study revealed that intrathecal implantation of 1×10^(6) hUC-MSCs/kg is an alternative approach for treating subacute SCI.

Aiming at the dispersion stability of nanofluids,we investigate the absorbency and the zeta potential of TiO_(2) and Al2O3 nanofluids under different pH values and different dispersant *** results show that in the mass fraction 0.05%alumina and 0.01%titanium dioxide nanosuspensions,the absolute value of the zeta potential and the absorbency of the two nanofluids with sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)dispersant are the highest at an optimal pH(pHAl_(2)O_(3)≈6.0,pHTiO2≈9.5)and that there is a good correlation between absorbency and zeta potential:the higher the absolute value of the zeta potential is,the greater the absorbency is,and the better the stability of the system *** optimizing concentrations for SDS are 0.10%and 0.14%,respectively,at which the two nanofluids have the best dispersion *** calculated DLVO interparticle interaction potentials verify the experimental results of the pH effect on the stability behavior.

AIM:To assess the efficacy of intravitreal triamcinolone(IVTA)as an adjunct to the combination of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)for the management of diabetic macular edema(DME).METHODS:A total of 51 patients with visual disabilities causing by DME from two sites were retrospectively collected and assigned to two groups according to the therapeutic method:intravitreal conbercept(IVC)combined with focal laser(24 eyes)and IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA(27 eyes).Best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),the required number of IVCs,central retinal thickness(CRT),the mean costs of treatment burden and safety were compared over 12 ***:From baseline to month 1 through month 12,IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA improved the mean average change in BCVA superior to IVC combined with focal laser(+5.20 vs+2.71 letters).At month 12,20.83%of the IVC combined with focal laser and 37.04%of IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA arms gained more than 10 BCVA *** the period,the mean CRT decreased significantly in the IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA arm(-245.9μm)compared to the IVC combined with focal laser arm(-98.45μm).The average of 6.45 and 1.25 conbercept injections performed in the IVC combined with focal laser and IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA arms,*** mean cost of treatment burden for 12 mo was$6247.44±4069.18 in the IVC combined with focal laser arm and$1679.19±542.73 in the IVC combined with focal laser and IVTA arm,with a statistically significant *** from occasional minor subconjunctival hemorrhage,no other significant ocular adverse events(AEs)were observed in either group during the 12-month ***:It is effective and cost-effective to treat DME by utilizing triamcinolone as an adjunct to the combination of anti-VEGF.

AIM: To explore the effect of Obtusifolin on retinal pigment epithelial cell growth under ***: In vitro chemical hypoxia model of ARPE-19 cells was established using cobalt chloride(CoCl2). Cell viability was tested by cell counting kit-8(CCK-8) assay. Western blot and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction were applied to detect proteins and mRNAs respectively. Flow cytometry was used to examine the cell cycle. Secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) was tested by using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(EliSA).RESULTS: Under the chemical hypoxia model established by CoCl2, hypoxia inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α) mRNA and protein levels was up-regulated. Cell viability was increased and the proportion of S phase was higher. Obtusifolin could reduce cell viability under hypoxic conditions and arrest cells in G1 phase. Obtusifolin reduced the expression of Cyclin D1 and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA) in the hypoxic environment and increased the expression of p53 and p21. The levels of VEGF, VEGFR2 and eNOS proteins and mRNA were significantly increased under hypoxia while Obtusifolin inhibited the ***: Obtusifolin can inhibit cell growth under hypoxic conditions and down-regulate HIF-1/VEGF/eNOS secretions in ARPE-19 cells.

Localized gastric amyloidosis(LGA)is a rare disease characterized by abnormal extracellular deposition of amyloid protein restricted to the stomach and it is confirmed by positive results of Congo red *** decades,only a few cases have been reported and studies or research focusing on it are *** LGA has a low incidence,patients may suffer a lot from it and require proper diagnosis and ***,the pathology of LGA remains unknown and no overall review of LGA from its presentations to its prognosis has been *** with LGA are often asymptomatic or manifest atypical symptoms,making it difficult to differentiate from other gastrointestinal ***,we report the case of a 70-year-old woman with LGA and provide an overview of case reports of LGA available to *** on that,we conclude current concepts of clinical manifestations,diagnosis,treatment,and prognosis of LGA,aiming at providing a detailed diagnostic procedure for clinicians and promoting the guidelines of *** addition,a few advanced technologies applied in amyloidosis are also discussed in this review,aiming at providing clinicians with a reference of diagnostic *** this review,we hope to raise awareness of LGA among the public and clinicians.

The objective of this paper is to explore the value of bone alkaline phosphatase(BALP)for diagnosing osteosarcoma,evaluating the effect of the chemotherapy,judging the prognosis and supervising the relapse and *** immunoassay was used to check the BALP of the blood serum that was from 42 primary osteosarcoma *** phosphatase(ALP)in blood serum was checked with auto biochemistry *** biopsy tissue and the lesion resected in operation were treated with pathology and histological response was *** patients were followed up from five months to 49 months with an average of 24.3 *** cases relapsed and transferred,among which,16 of them were dead,and others were survival to the end of the *** was more sensitive than ALP in diagnosing osteosarcoma(P=0.015).Fifteen cases decreased to normal value in ALP after preoperative chemotherapy,and 34 cases decreased in *** ALP and BALP in all cases decreased to normal value in *** was significant difference in positive correlation between the decrease of BALP and the increase of histological response(P=0.001,r=0.642).In the followup,there was significant difference in BALP between the group of relapse and transfer and the group of free disease survival(P=0.000).As a check marker in blood serum,BALP,reflecting the process of ossification,has a higher sensitivity than *** has applied value in the diagnosis of osteosarcoma,reflection of the effect of chemotherapy and forecast the prognosis.
