Human Action Recognition(HAR)is an active research topic in machine learning for the last few *** surveillance,robotics,and pedestrian detection are the main applications for action *** vision researchers have introduced many HAR techniques,but they still face challenges such as redundant features and the cost of *** this article,we proposed a new method for the use of deep learning for *** the proposed method,video frames are initially pre-processed using a global contrast approach and later used to train a deep learning model using domain transfer *** Resnet-50 Pre-Trained Model is used as a deep learning model in this *** are extracted from two layers:Global Average Pool(GAP)and Fully Connected(FC).The features of both layers are fused by the Canonical Correlation Analysis(CCA).Then features are selected using the Shanon Entropy-based threshold *** selected features are finally passed to multiple classifiers for final *** are conducted on five publicly available datasets as IXMAS,UCF Sports,YouTube,UT-Interaction,and *** accuracy of these data sets was 89.6%,99.7%,100%,96.7%and 96.6%,*** with existing techniques has shown that the proposed method provides improved accuracy for ***,the proposed method is computationally fast based on the time of execution.

Internet of Things(IoT) devices are becoming increasingly ubiquitous, and their adoption is growing at an exponential rate. However, they are vulnerable to security breaches, and traditional security mechanisms are not enough to protect them. The massive amounts of data generated by IoT devices can be easily manipulated or stolen, posing significant privacy concerns. This paper is to provide a comprehensive overview of the integration of blockchain and IoT technologies and their potential to enhance the security and privacy of IoT systems. The paper examines various security issues and vulnerabilities in IoT and explores how blockchain-based solutions can be used to address them. It provides insights into the various security issues and vulnerabilities in IoT and explores how blockchain can be used to enhance security and privacy. The paper also discusses the potential applications of blockchain-based IoT(B-IoT) systems in various sectors, such as healthcare, transportation, and supply chain management. The paper reveals that the integration of blockchain and IoT has the potential to enhance the security,privacy, and trustworthiness of IoT systems. The multi-layered architecture of B-IoT, consisting of perception, network, data processing, and application layers, provides a comprehensive framework for the integration of blockchain and IoT *** study identifies various security solutions for B-IoT, including smart contracts, decentralized control, immutable data storage,identity and access management(IAM), and consensus mechanisms. The study also discusses the challenges and future research directions in the field of B-IoT.

This study aims to develop a computational pathology approach that can properly detect and distinguish histology *** is crucial for histopathological image analysis,as it involves segmenting cell ***,challenges exist,such as determining the boundary region of normal and deformed nuclei and identifying small,irregular nuclei *** learning approaches are currently dominant in digital pathology for nucleus recognition and classification,but their complex features limit their practical use in clinical *** existing studies have limited accuracy,significant processing costs,and a lack of resilience and generalizability across diverse *** proposed the densely convolutional Breast U-shaped Network(BU-NET)framework to overcome the mentioned *** study employs BU-NET’s spatial and channel attention methods to enhance segmentation *** inclusion of residual blocks and skip connections in the BU-NEt architecture enhances the process of extracting features and reconstructing the *** enhances the robustness of training and convergence processes by reducing the occurrence of vanishing *** primary objective of BU-NEt is to enhance the model’s capacity to acquire and analyze more intricate features,all the while preserving an efficient working *** BU-NET experiments demonstrate that the framework achieved 88.7%average accuracy,88.8%F1 score for Multi-Organ Nuclei Segmentation Challenge(MoNuSeg),and 91.2%average accuracy,91.8%average F1 for the triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)*** framework also achieved 93.92 Area under the ROC Curve(AUC)for *** results demonstrated that the technology surpasses existing techniques in terms of accuracy and effectiveness in ***,it showcases the ability to withstand and recover from different tissue types and diseases,indicating possible uses in medical *** research evaluated the efficacy of the proposed method

Granitic inselbergs of Lara(Panafrican Chain,Far-North Cameroon):Assets for the implementation of geotourism in Mountainous region

The locality of Lara(Far-North Region,Cameroon)is made up of a pediplain strewn with coalescent *** interaction of internal and external geological processes has contributed to transform the latter into inselbergs,whose geotouristic values are yet to be *** and laboratory work enabled us to select the geomorphosites through their aesthetic value(particular size and shape)and,geomorphological and geological ***,it permitted to study and map the geomorphosites using Optic Microscope,Google Earth,GIS software and many other ***,four inselbergs have been selected and studied in the locality of *** petrographic study of these inselbergs shows that granites are the main components of inselbergs and they present a fine to coarse-grained texture,materialized by quartz,micas,plagioclases and alkali feldspars(white and pink in colour).Inselbergs exhibit vertical and parallel networks of diaclases giving them a stratified appearance in some *** addition,on some inselberg limbs and piedmonts,are built tors which contribute to their *** tops of inselbergs,are embellished by several alluring pedestal *** their flanks,shelters of various shapes and sizes(about 12 m length)have developed through the heaps of blocks *** the ten shelters selected,some have a fairly high cultural value as they are sacred places for the local ***,Lara's granitic inselbergs include enclaves(cognate enclaves and xenocrysts)that also significantly improve their geoheritage *** are landforms with high education and aesthetic value that attracted a larger local and foreign population of about 863 visitors between *** constitute an exceptional geoheritage that could attract more tourists in the locality of Lara;but the promotion of geotourism is needed through interpretative panels,marketing of geomorphosites through leaflets,web,media,and geotours,to mention a few.

Dear Editor,Plant cells are surrounded and protected by cell walls, which consist primarily of polymers such as cellulose, hemicelluloses, pectic polysaccharides, and the polyphenol lignin. One of the ma- jor hemicelluloses in the primary cell wall is xyloglucan （XyG）, which consists of a β-1,4-glucan backbone containing xylosyl substituents. XyG attaches and partially covers the surface of cellulose microfibrils and is therefore thought to act as a spacer between microfibrils, reducing cellulose aggregation （Pauly et al., 2013）.

Perceptions into causes and consequences of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants

Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants are emerging worldwide and pathogenicity varies widely from no symptoms to *** SARS-CoV-2 is evolving as lineages like Alpha,Beta,Gamma,Epsilon,Iota,Delta,and Omicron in the course of *** main reasons for such viral evolution are(a)the imperfect nature of SARS-CoV-2 RNA polymerase,and viral exonuclease mediated proofreading functions resulting in the generation of mutations in viral genomes;(b)fusions of the 5′leader sequence to unexpected 3′sites,and transcription regulatory sequences(TRSs)in subgenomic RNAs(sgRNAs),which result in the generation of structural variants and novel open reading frames;(c)these viruses are combated by the host type I interferons(IFNs).In such a process IFNs upregulate viral RNA editing APOBEC3G/F and ADAR1 genes,which induce mutations in viral *** factors play important roles in causing viral evolution and the emergence of more efficient SARS-CoV-2 genomes,which escape the host immune defense system,and vaccine-elicited antibodies and impede therapeutic *** main challenges we now face are how to control future SARS-CoV-2 evolution,the elimination of their deleterious side effects,and the onset of new diseases as aftermaths of SARSCoV-2 *** measures like(a)the development of broadly neutralizing antibodies and novel vaccines,therapies based on genomics and proteomics data will help in avoiding,and/or minimizing SARS-CoV-2 infections;(b)targeted therapies,application of patient-based precision medicine methodology can help in achieving the goal and avoiding unwanted deleterious side effects and the onset of SARS-CoV-2 infections mediated several diseases in future.

Multiple conical odd harmonics from filament-inscribed nanogratings

We report on the observation of conical third,fifth,seventh,and ninth harmonics that gradually emerge during the supercontinuum generation by filamentation of femtosecond midinfrared pulses in lithium strontium hexafluoroaluminate *** show that the generation of conical odd harmonics is an optical signature of lightdriven material reorganization in the form of volume nanogratings at the site irradiated by repetitive femtosecond *** angle-resolved spectral measurements demonstrate remarkably broad spectra of individual odd harmonics,benefiting from a spectrally broadened pump pulse(supercontinuum),and reveal that filamentinscribed nanogratings represent photonic structures that are able to provide ultrabroad phase-matching bandwidths covering the wavelength range from the ultraviolet to the near *** propose a scenario that interprets the generation of conical fifth,seventh,and ninth harmonics as nanograting phase-matched cascaded noncollinear four-wave mixing processes.

Analysis of the Determinants of Floods in Numan Town, Nigeria

This study aimed at investigating the causes of floods in Numan Town with particular reference to the 2012 floods. Three residential areas： Gangare, Gwadda Mallam and Green Village were selected for the study. Hydrological, SRTM （shuttle radar topography mission） digital elevation model, secondary and primary data were utilized. A total of 180 questionnaires were administered to the residents in equal proportion using systematic random sampling. ArcGIS 10.0 and Excel were used for the analysis. The study revealed that the major causes of flood in the area include discharge of water from the Lagdo dam in Cameroon and Kiri dam in Adamawa State. Others include heavy rainfall, topography, and lack of adherence to development control provisions which resulted in construction of residential areas on flood plains. Many of the residents do not have legal title to their plots and this constitutes a very serious constraint to provision of drainages and solid waste disposal services. To ameliorate the devastating effects of floods, the study recommends relocation of residents of flood prone areas, provision of solid waste management services, and construction of more drainages. In addition, the town planning authorities and community leaders should collaborate to ensure that houses are built in flood plains.
