Software modularization is a technique used to divide a software system into independent modules （packages）that are expected to be cohesive and loosely coupled. However, as software systems evolve over time to meet new require-ments, their modularizations become complex and gradually loose their quality. Thus, it is challenging to automaticallyoptimize the classes＇ distribution in packages, also known as remodularization. To alleviate this issue, we introduce a newapproach to optimize software modularization by moving classes to more suitable packages. In addition to improving designquality and preserving semantic coherence, our approach takes into consideration the refactoring effort as an objective initself while optimizing software modularization. We adapt the Elitist Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm （NSGA-Ⅱ）of Deb et al. to find the best sequence of refactorings that 1） maximize structural quality, 2） maximize semantic cohesivenessof packages （evaluated by a semantic measure based on WordNet）, and 3） minimize the refactoring effort. We report theresults of an evaluation of our approach using open-source projects, and we show that our proposal is able to produce acoherent and useful sequence of recommended refactorings both in terms of quality metrics and from the developer＇s pointsof view.

Tooth wear against ceramic crowns in posterior region: a systematic literature review

The objective of this systematic review was to assess tooth wear against ceramic crowns in posterior region in vitro and in vivo. An electronic PubMed search was conducted to identify studies on tooth wear against ceramic crowns in posterior region. The selected studies were analyzed in regard to type of crowns, natural antagonist, measuring protocol and outcome. From a yield of 1 000 titles, 43 articles were selected for full-text analysis; finally, no in vitro and only five in vivo studies met the inclusion criteria. As there is heterogeneity in design, used measuring method, ceramics and analysis-form, a meta-analysis was not possible. Results of these studies are very controversial which makes a scientifically valid comparison impossible. This review indicated that some all-ceramic crowns are as wear friendly as metal-ceramic crowns. Up to now, it has been impossible to associate tooth wear with any specific causal agent. The role of ceramic surface treatment that might be responsible for the changing in rate of tooth wear seems undetermined as yet through clinical trials. The literature reveals that studies on this topic are subject to a substantial amount of bias. Therefore, additional clinical studies, properly designed to diminish bias, are warranted.

The elementary analysis of this paper presents explicit expressions of the constants in the a priori error estimates for the lowest-order Courant, Crouzeix-Raviart nonconforming and P^viart-Thomas mixed finite element methods in the Poisson model problem. The three constants and their dependences on some maximal angle in the triangulation are indeed all comparable and allow accurate a priori error control.

Archives of threaded discussions generated by users in online forums and discussion boards contain valuable knowledge on various topics. However, not all threads are useful because of deliberate abuses, such as trolling and flaming, that are commonly observed in online conversations. The existence of various users with different levels of expertise also makes it difficult to assume that every discussion thread stored online contains high-quality contents. Although finding high-quality threads automatically can help both users and search engines sift through a huge amount of thread archives and make use of these potentially useful resources effectively, no previous work to our knowledge has performed a study on such task. In this paper, we propose an automatic method for distinguishing high-quality threads from low-quality ones in online discussion sites. We first suggest four different artificial measures for inducing overall quality of a thread based on ratings of its posts. We then propose two tasks involving prediction of thread quality without using post rating information. We adopt a popular machine learning framework to solve the two prediction tasks. Experimental results on a real world forum archive demonstrate that our method can significantly improve the prediction performance across all four measures of thread quality on both tasks. We also compare how different types of features derived from various aspects of threads contribute to the overall performance and investigate key features that play a crucial role in discovering high-quality threads in online discussion sites.

Background Medical clowning has been proven effective in reducing pain,anxiety,and stress in many sporadic,usually small-scale *** meta-analysis aims to evaluate the efficiency of medical clowns in reducing pain and anxiety in hospitalized pediatric patients and their parents in different medical *** A thorough literature search was conducted from different databases,and only randomized controlled trials(RCTs)were included with children aged 0 to 18 years old.A total of 18 studies were included,and statistical analysis was performed on the combined *** A total of 912 children(14 studies)showed significantly reduced anxiety when procedures were performed with a medical clown compared with the controls(−0.76 on anxiety score,P<0.001).Preoperative anxiety was lower in 512 children(nine studies)with clown interventions than in the controls(−0.78,P<0.001).The pain scale was completed by 338 participants(six studies),indicating a trend toward reduced pain during procedures performed while the clown was acting compared to controls(−0.49,P=0.06).In addition,medical clown significantly(−0.52,P=0.001)reduced parental anxiety in 489 participants in ten studies;in six of the ten studies,with a total of 380 participants,medical clown significantly reduced parental preoperative anxiety(P=0.02).Conclusion Medical clowns have substantial positive and beneficial effects on reducing stress and anxiety in children and their families in various circumstances in pediatrics.

Excavation and control of tunneling responses in swelling soft-rock tunnels of Sichuan-Tibet railway under seepage conditions were *** this,a fractional viscoplastic(FVP)model for swelling soft rocks was established by introducing Abel dashpot and unsteady viscosity coefficient,considering additional swelling deformation and damage of rock caused by humidity *** view of the FVP model,the viscoplastic deformation solutions for rock mass surrounding tunnel under seepage conditions were derived and long-term mechanical responses of swelling rocks upon tunnel excavation were ***,a stress release coefficient considering seepage and creep was proposed,based on which control responses considering stress release and failure mechanism of stress release measures were *** results showed that:(i)The one-dimensional(1D)FVP model has a good application for swelling rock and the three-dimensional(3D)FVP model could well describe the whole creep process of rock mass despite a much higher creep attenuation rate in the first stage of creep;and(ii)An appropriate stress release and deformation of surrounding rocks could effectively reduce the supporting ***,upon a large stress release,the radius of plastic region could increase significantly,and the strength of the surrounding rock mass decreases *** proposed solution could provide a theoretical framework for capturing the excavation and support responses for tunneling in swelling rock mass in consideration of time effect.

Effect of Water Quality on Heavy Metal Redistribution and Mobility in Polluted Agricultural Soils in a Semi-Arid Region

Mornag Plain is a coastal area of the Mediterranean basin, which has undergone an agricultural industrial boom. The aim of this study was to investigate the different water qualities used for irrigation on heavy metal mobility in these polluted agricultural soils. The geo-accumulation indices for heavy metals (Ni, Cr, Pb, Cd, Cu, and Zn) revealed that industrial activities and used treated wastewater (TWW) contributed to soil pollution, and water irrigation always decreased this contamination. After long-term use of different water types, high perturbation of heavy metal redistribution has occurred. Groundwater use altered all heavy metal redistributions in the irrigated soil among various soil-solid and soil-solution fractions, as compared to the unirrigated soil. Slight acid water use transferred some metals from different solid phase components into water-soluble and exchangeable fractions. However, TWW use transformed some Ni, Cr, Cd, Cu, and Zn from water-soluble and exchangeable fractions to less labile fractions, particularly into organically bound fractions. Reuse of conventional water within the same soil decreased the whole soil redistribution index values, indicating tendency to return to the pattern of distribution of groundwater-irrigated soil.
