The micro structure and properties of as-cast Zr-2.5Nb-1X(X=Ru,Mo,Ta and Si) alloy are screened to explore novel biomedical zirconium alloys for magnetic resonance *** micro structure and phase transformation were characterized using X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and transmission electron microscope(TEM).Hardness test,magnetic detection and electrochemical corrosion measurements are taken to present *** results show that all alloys consist of α-Zr,β-Zr and ω-Zr.α-Zr and β-Zr mainly exist in the form of parallel and intersecting plates,and nanoscale ω-Zr is dispersed in β-Zr ***,blocky ω-Zr with needle-like α-Zr is only found in plate-free blocks of Zr-2.5Nb-1Mo/Ru *** orientation relationship(OR) between α-Zr and ω-Zr follows [1120]_α//[1101]_ω and(0001)_α//([1011]_ω 011)_ω.Combining this OR with the OR between β-Zr and ω-Zr,the transformation relationship between β-Zr/ω-Zr and α-Zr is also ***-2.5Nb-1Ru alloy with high corrosion potential(-0.500 V),low corrosion rate(0.949 μm·year^(-1)) and low magnetic susceptibility(92×10^(-6)) shows great potential to be a novel biomedical implant with magnetic resonance imaging *** on the experimental results,the possible relationship among alloying elements,micro structure and properties has been established in these Zr-2.5Nb-1X alloys.

Synthesis of granulated Li_(1.33)Mn_(1.67)O_(4) via two antisolvent methods for lithium adsorption from gas-produced water

Gas-produced water is an accompanying wastewater in the natural gas extraction process,and it is a potential liquid lithium resource that contains a considerable amount of *** study investigated the feasibility of using manganese-based ion sieves to adsorb and extract lithium from gas-produced *** we focused on the applicability of two different granulation methods,extrusion and droplet,in gas-produced water *** types of H_(1.33)Mn_(1.67)O_(4) particles were prepared by the extrusion method(EHMO)and the droplet method(DHMO).The porosity of DHMO was much higher than that of EHMO,and the adsorption performance of DHMO increased with the decrease of binder *** prepared with a binder concentration of 0.14 g·ml^(-1)exhibited the best adsorption performance in gas-produced water,and the Li^(+)adsorption capacity could reach 25.14 mg·g^(-1).In gas-produced water,the adsorption equilibrium of DHMO only took 9 h,and the adsorption process conformed to the Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order kinetic *** pore diffusion model(PDM)could well describe its adsorption ***,DHMO showed a great selectivity to Li^(+),and the selectivity order of DHMO in gas-produced water was Li^(+)>Ba^(2+)>>Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),Sr^(2+)>>Na^(+)>>K^(+).After 20 cycles,the Li^(+)adsorption capacity was still higher than 17.30 mg·g^(-1),and the rate of manganese dissolution was less than 1%.

Two-dimensional(2D)covalent organic framework(COF)mem-branes featuring well-aligned and programmable vertical nano-channels have emerged as a promising candidate for advanced nanofluidic devices and showcased vast potential in the fields of smart-gating,ion-separation,and ***,the transverse interlayer nanochannels with a height of sub-nanometer-scale in 2D-COF membranes have scarcely been studied in ***,we report the ion transport characteristics in 2D interlayer nanochannels of protonated CoF *** dis-tinct surface-charge-governed ionic conductance in domination of electrolyte concentration below 1o-3 M as well as the exceptional anion/cation(Cl^(-)/K^(+))selectivity is revealed due to the pronounced charge and nano-confinement ***,evident ion current rectification is witnessed when incorporating asymmetric geometry into the system,which is attributed to the dynamic process of ion enrichment and dissipation within the protonated *** work offers immense prospects for 2D-COF membranes in the fields of biomimetic nanofluidic devices and cutting-edge electronic devices.

Hot deformation and processing maps of as-sintered CNT/Al-Cu composites fabricated by flake powder metallurgy

The deformation behaviors of as-sintered CNT/Al-Cu composites were investigated by isothermal compression tests performed in the temperature range of 300-550°C and strain rate range of 0.001-10 s-1 with Gleeble 3500 thermal simulator *** maps based on dynamic material model(DMM)were established at strains of 0.1-0.6,and microstructures before and after hot deformation were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM).The results show that the strain has a significant influence on the processing maps,and the optimum processing domains are at temperatures of 375-425°C with strain rates of 0.4-10 s-1 and at 525-550°C with 0.02-10 s-1 when the strain is *** inhomogeneous distribution of large particles,as well as a high density of tangled dislocations,dislocation walls,and some sub-grains appears at low deformation temperatures and strain rates,which correspond to the instability domain.A homogeneous distribution of fine particles and dynamic recrystallization generates when the composites are deformed at 400 and 550°C under a strain rate of 10 s-1,which correspond to the stability domains.

Although there have been significant advances in the treatment of heart failure in recent years,chronic heart failure remains a leading cause of cardiovascular disease-related *** studies have found that targeted cardiac metabolic remodeling has good potential for the treatment of heart ***,most of the drugs that increase cardiac energy are still in the theoretical or testing *** research has found that botanical drugs not only increase myocardial energy metabolism through multiple targets but also have the potential to restore the balance of myocardial substrate *** this review,we summarized the mechanisms by which botanical drugs(the active ingredients/formulas/Chinese patent medicines)improve substrate utilization and promote myocardial energy metabolism by activating AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK),peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARs)and other related *** the same time,some potential protective effects of botanical drugs on myocardium,such as alleviating oxidative stress and dysbiosis signaling,caused by metabolic disorders,were briefly discussed.

Anti-OX40 Antibody Combined with HBc VLPs Delays Tumor Growth in a Mouse Colon Cancer Model

One-pot and One-step Cu(0)-mediated Reversible-Deactivation Radical Polymerization of N-Isopropylacrylamide(NIPAM) in Water

Copper(0)-mediated reversible-deactivation radical polymerization(Cu(0)-mediated RDRP) of the water-soluble monomer Nisopropylacrylamide(NIPAM) has been challenging with the problems of high dispersity, poor control over the molecular weights(MWs) or complex or multi reaction steps, etc. In this work, we report the well-controlled polymerization of NIPAM in water via a facile one-pot and one-step Cu(0)-mediated RDRP. The results of this approach show that the key for kicking off the Cu(0)-mediated NIPAM RDRPs is to ensure sufficient Cu~I at the very beginning, and the key to achieve a well-controlled chain growth is to provide adequate deactivation strength during the polymerization process. For NIPAM, which has a high propagation rate constant, the deactivation control can be effectively enhanced by extra adding deactivator(i.e., Cu~II) to the system. Moreover, a low reaction temperature(4 ℃) is necessary in the controlled synthesis of higher MW poly(Nisopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAM) to avoid the compromise in control caused by the phase transition from its lower critical solution temperature(LCST). Through this new kinetically controlled strategy, PNIPAMs with well-defined structure, narrow molecular weight distributions(MWDs) and varied MWs were successfully achieved.

Effect of Artificial Electric Field Surface by Wave-Driven Triboelectricity on Anti-Bioadhesion for riser Protection

Biofouling has been a persistent problem in marine riser system, resulting in energy waste and equipment damage. Inthis study, a kind of water wave-driven contact-mode flexible triboelectric nanogeneration has been prepared byusing graphene-doped PDMS as dielectric friction material. When the graphene content is 2%, the average outputvoltage can reach 46 V under the contact frequency 10 Hz. The flexible triboelectric nanogeneration encapsulationmodule is impinged by water waves to generate alternating microelectric field on the riser surface and destroy theadhesion conditions of microorganisms during the biofilm stage. In the biofouling experiments at different stages, thebiofouling area of the platymonas subcordiformis has been reduced by 53%, 62% and 61%. It provides a new ideafor effective treatment of biofouling of mussels, oysters and barnacles attached to risers.

Present-day movement characteristics of the Qinghai Nanshan fault and its surrounding area from GPS observation

The Qinghai Nanshan fault is a larger fault in the Northeastern Xizang *** previous studies,its movement characteristics are mainly investigated with geological and seismic observations,and the tectonic transformation role of the fault on its east is not yet *** study uses data fusion to obtain denser GPS observations near the Qinghai Nanshan *** on tectonic characteristics,we establish a block model to investigate the fault slip rate,locking degree,and slip *** results show that the Qinghai Nanshan fault slip rate is characterized by sinistral and convergent *** the sinistral and convergent rates display a decreasing trend from west to *** locking degree and slip deficit are higher in the western segment(with an average of about 0.74 and 1.1 mm/a)and lower in the eastern ***,we construct a strain rate field using GPS observations to analyze the regional strain *** results indicate that along the fault,the western segment shows a larger shear strain rate and negative dilation *** earthquake records show that the frequency of earthquakes is lower near the *** joint results suggest that the western segment may have a higher earthquake *** addition,the insignificant fault slip rate in the eastern segment may indicate that it does not participate in the tectonic transformation among the riyueshan,Lajishan,and West Qinling faults.
