Synthesis of Cobalt Chromite Nanoparticles by Thermolysis of mixed Cr^(3+) and Co^(2+) Chelates of 2-mercaptopyridin N-Oxide

Pure greenish-blue cobalt chromite(Co Cr/_2O_4) nanoparticles with narrow particle range of 4.1±1.9nm and surface area of 78.2 m2·g-1were synthesized through mixed chelates thermolysis of corresponding metals using 2-mercaptopyridine N-oxide sodium salt as chelating agent. During the thermolysis procedure,high amount of gases were emitted that led to the formation of nanoparticles with high surface area. The product was characterized by TGA, DTG, XRD, TEm, SEm, LLS, BET and chemical analysis. Design of experiments was performed to fulfill the two levels L_4 Taguchi design. It was found that the temperature and time of thermolysis process have significant effect on the particle size reduction. The Oxidation of trichloroethylene was carried out over Co Cr_2O_4 nanocrystallite. Catalytic activity analysis revealed that the synthesis Co Cr_2O_4 possesses high catalytic activity for this process.

A low-power and low-energy flexible GF(p) elliptic-curve cryptography processor

We investigate the use of two integer inversion algorithms,a modified montgomery modulo inverse and a Fermat's Little Theorem based inversion,in a prime-field affine-coordinate elliptic-curve *** perform this,we present a low-power/energy GF(p) affine-coordinate elliptic-curve cryptography(ECC) processor design with a simplified architecture and complete flexibility in terms of the field and curve *** design can use either of the inversion *** on the implementations of this design for 168-,192-,and 224-bit prime fields using a standard 0.13 μm CmOS technology,we compare the efficiency of the algorithms in terms of power/energy consumption,area,and calculation *** results show that while the Fermat's theorem approach is not appropriate for the affine-coordinate ECC processors due to its long computation time,the montgomery modulo inverse algorithm is a good candidate for low-energy *** results also show that the 168-bit ECC processor based on the montgomery modulo inverse completes one scalar multiplication in only 0.4 s at a 1 mHz clock frequency consuming only 12.92 μJ,which is lower than the reported values for similar designs.

Fabrication of an electrochemical sensor for determination of doxorubicin in human plasma and its interaction with DNA

In this work, an electrochemical sensor was fabricated for determination of an anthracycline, doxorubicin(DOX) as a chemotherapy drug in plasma based on multi-walled carbon nanotubes modified platinum electrode(Pt/mWCNTs). DOX was effectively accumulated on the surface of modified electrode and generated a pair of redox peaks at around 0.522 and 0.647 V(vs. Ag/Ag Cl) in Britton Robinson(B-R) buffer(p H 4.0, 0.1 m). The electrochemical parameters including p H, type of buffer, accumulation time, amount of modifier and scan rate were optimized. Under the optimized conditions, there was a linear correlation between cathodic peak current and concentration of DOX in the range of 0.05–4.0 μg/m L with the detection limit of 0.002 μg/m L. The number of electron transfers(n) and electron transfer-coefficient(α) were estimated as 2.0 and 0.25, respectively. The constructed sensor displayed excellent precision, sensitivity, repeatability and selectivity in the determination of DOX in plasma. moreover, cyclic voltammetry studies of DOX in the presence of DNA showed an intercalation mechanism with binding constant(K_b) of 1.12×10~5L/mol.

modification of RDX and HmX crystals in procedure of solvent/anti-solvent by statistical methods of Taguchi analysis design and mLR technique

many of the physical and functional properties of RDX and HmX explosives are related to the crystalline structure of these materials. Crystalline defects affect the quality of the explosives. Therefore, in order to enhance the quality of these materials, it is necessary to form crystals with the lowest defects. In this research, we report the optimization of recrystallization process of RDX and HmX by statistical techniques. The solvent/anti-solvent procedure was used for recrystallization of HmX and RDX particles. The four parameters of i) ratio of anti-solvent to solvent, ii) ratio of solute to solvent, iii) aging time, and iv)cooling rate of mixture, were optimized by Taguchi analysis design. Taguchi L16 orthogonal array was used with sixteen rows corresponding to the number of tests in four columns at four levels. The apparent density of recrystallized of RDX and HmX particles was considered as the quality characteristic with the concept of "the larger-the-better". The obtained graphs showed that the studied parameters were optimized in ratio 1:1 for anti-solvent to solvent, ratio 0.1 g,m L^(-1) for solute to solvent, aging time of 2 h and cooling rate of 1℃,min^(-1). Also, the correlation between the investigated parameters and apparent density of crystals were studied by multiple linear regressions(mLR) method for obtaining a model of prediction of apparent density. The P-values were indicated that in confidence level of 95%, the null hypothesis is rejected and a meaningful addition is observed in the proposed model.

Let m be a non-zero finitely generated module over a commutative Noetherian local ring （R, m）. In this paper we consider when the local cohomology modules are finitely generated. It is shown that if t≥ 0 is an integer and p C Supp H^t_p （m）, then Hm^t＋dim R/p （m） is not p-cofinite. Then we obtain a partial answer to a question raised by Huneke. Namely, if R is a complete local ring, then H^n_m （m） is finitely generated if and only if 0 ≤ n ￠ W, where W ---- {t ＋ dimR/p丨p ∈ SuppH^t_p（m）／V（m）}. Also, we show that if J C I are 1-dimensional ideals of R, then H^t_I（m） is J-cominimax, and H^t_I（m） is finitely generated （resp., minimax） if and only if H}R, （mp） is finitely generated for all p C Spec R （resp., p ∈ SpecR／maxR）. moreover, the concept of the J-cofiniteness dimension cJ（m） of m relative to I is introduced, and we explore an interrelation between c^I_m（m） and the filter depth of m in I. Finally, we show that if R is complete and dim m/Im ≠ 0, then c^I_m （R） ---- inf{depth mp ＋ dim R/p 丨 P ∈ Supp m/Im／V（m）}.

Study on gamma-ray attenuation characteristics of some amino acids for 133Ba,137Cs, and 60Co sources

Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins,which are the most abundant macromolecules in living *** the standpoint of the photon interaction cross sections of amino acids,the mass attenuation coefficients,half and tenth value layers,mean free path,effective atomic and electronic cross sections,effective atomic number,and effective electron density of fifteen essential amino acids have been determined for 133Ba,137Cs,and 60Co gamma-ray *** mCNP-4C code and the XCOm program have been used to calculate these *** results have been compared to the available experimental and theoretical *** theoretical results agreed with the experimental data,with RD values of ≤±7%.In the energy region of 81-1332.5 keV,it was found that the μm,σa,and revalues of the amino acids decreased as the photon energy increased,and the increasing density of amino acids had no steady effect on these ***,results demonstrated that the HVL,TVL,and mFP values increased with the increase in photon *** μm,σa,and Zeff values of aspartic acid were the highest among those of all amino acids,and they were the lowest for *** Zeff value of each sample containing H,C,N,and O atoms was nearly constant in the studied energy *** Neffvalues of the studied amino acids varied in the range of 3.14×10^23-3.44×10^23 electron/***,the Neffvalues were approximately independent of the amino acid type in this energy region.
