The oyster mushroom(Pleurotus spp.)is one of the most widely cultivated mushroom species *** present study investigated the effect of synbiotics on the growth and quality of Pleurotus ostreatus and Pleurotus *** synbiotics formulations were applied by spraying mushroom samples daily and measuring their growth parameters,yield,biological efficiency,proximate composition,mineral content,total phenolic content(TPC),and diphenyl-1-picryl-hydrazyl(DPPH)radical scavenging *** demonstrated that the most significant yield of oyster mushrooms was harvested from synbiotics sprayed with inulin and Lactobacillus casei(56.92 g).Likewise,the highest biological efficiency obtained with a similar synbiotic was 12.65%.Combining inulin and *** was the most effective method of improving the mushrooms'growth performance and nutrient content in both ***,synbiotics that combined inulin and *** resulted in the highest TPC(20.550 mg gallic acid equivalent(GAE)/g dry extract(DE))in white oyster mushrooms(***).In comparison,in grey mushroom(***)the highest TPC was yielded by ***(1.098 mg GAE/g DE)followed by inulin and ***(1.079 mg GAE/g DE).The DPPH results indicated that the oyster mushroom could be an efficient *** results revealed that applying synbiotics improved the mushrooms'quality by increasing their antioxidant capacity with higher amounts of phenolic compounds and offering better health benefits with the increased levels of mineral ***,these studies demonstrated the potential of using synbiotics as a biofertilizer,which is helpful for mushroom cultivation;therefore,it might solve the challenge of inconsistent quality mushroom growers face.

Objective:To assess pregnant women's knowledge,attitude,and practice regarding nutrition and medication usage,analyse the prescribing pattern,and categorize them based on the Food and Drug Administration(FDA)***:A cross-sectional study was conducted with 264 pregnant women in the obstetrics and gynaecology department of a tertiary care hospital from October 2022 to August 2023.A knowledge,attitude,and practice(KAP)questionnaire was prepared in English language by the researchers and validated by an expert panel consisting of 12 *** validated questionnaire was then translated into regional languages,Kannada and *** reliability of the questionnaire was assessed with test-retest method with a representative sample population of 30 subjects(10 subjects for each language).The subjects'knowledge,attitude,and practice were evaluated using the validated KAP *** safety of the medication was assessed using the FDA drug safety classification for ***:The mean scores for nutritional and medication usage knowledge,attitude,and practice were 4.14±1.15,4.50±1.09,and 3.00±1.47,*** 30 prescribed medications,3 belong to category A(no risk in human studies),8 belong to category B(no risk in animal studies),18 belong to category C(risk cannot be ruled out)and 1 drug is not classified.A significant association was observed between medication knowledge and practice(r=0.159,P=0.010).Conclusions:Most of the study population knows the need to maintain good dietary and medication practices during *** pregnant women regarding diet and medication usage is crucial in maternal care.

Global efforts to address malnutrition and hidden hunger, particularly prevalent in low- and middle-income countries, have intensified, with a focus on enhancing the nutritional content of staple crops like rice. Despite serving as a staple for over half of the world's population, rice falls short in meeting daily nutritional requirements, especially for iron(Fe) and zinc(Zn). Genetic resources, such as wild rice species and specific rice varieties, offer promising avenues for enhancing Fe and Zn content. Additionally, molecular breeding approaches have identified key genes and loci associated with Fe and Zn accumulation in rice grains. This review explores the genetic resources and molecular mechanisms underlying Fe and Zn accumulation in rice grains. The functional genomics involved in Fe uptake, transport, and distribution in rice plants have revealed key genes such as OsFRO1, OsIRT1, and OsNAS3. Similarly, genes associated with Zn uptake and translocation, including OsZIP11 and OsNRAMP1, have been identified. Transgenic approaches, leveraging transporter gene families and genome editing technologies, offer promising avenues for enhancing Fe and Zn content in rice grains. Moreover, strategies for reducing phytic acid(PA) content, a known inhibitor of mineral bioavailability, have been explored, including the identification of low-PA mutants and natural variants. The integration of genomic information, including whole-genome resequencing and pan-genome analyses, provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of micronutrient traits and facilitates targeted breeding efforts. Functional genomics studies have elucidated the molecular mechanisms underlying Fe uptake and translocation in rice. Furthermore, transgenic and genome editing techniques have shown promise in enhancing Fe and Zn content in rice grains through the manipulation of key transporter genes. Objective:Double-J(DJ)ureteric stents are commonly placed perioperatively for semirigid or flexible ureteroscopic renal *** is believed that lesser stent material within the bladder mitigates stent-related *** study aimed to evaluate the J-Fil ureteral stent,a single pigtail suture stent compared with conventional DJ stent in relation to stent symptoms in an Asian population undergoing ureterorenal ***:Based on internal audit committee recommendation approval,the records of 50 patients retrieved,available data of 41 patients who were prospectively enrolled into two groups(Group 1[J-Fil stent group],n=21 and Group 2[DJ stent group],n=20)between August 2020 to January 2021,were *** compared were nature of procedure,stone location and size,ease of deployment or removal,and complications.A modified universal stent symptom questionnaire was used to assess morbidity of stent symptoms within 48 h of insertion and at ***:Both groups had similar median age,distribution in male to female ratio,and stone *** overall median universal stent symptom questionnaire score at insertion was similar for bladder pain,flank or loin pain,and quality of life between Group 1 and 2;however,at removal Group 1 fared significantly better than Group 2,especially for flank or loin pain and pain at *** groups had similar ease in insertion with no hospital ***:Our audit favoured the single pigtail suture stent in Asian ureters in mitigating stent-related *** showed a good safety profile with easy deployment and *** promises a new standard in stenting.

平菇（Pleurotus spp.）是全球最广泛栽培的蘑菇品种之一。本研究旨在探讨合生元对Pleurotus ostreatus和Pleurotus pulmonarius生长和品质的影响。通过每日对蘑菇样品喷洒不同浓度的合生元，测量其生长参数、产量、生物效率、近似成分、矿物质含量、总酚含量和二苯基-1-三硝基苯肼（DPPH）自由基清除活性。结果表明，使用喷洒菊粉和干酪乳杆菌的合生元，平菇的产量最高（56.92克），生物效率也最高（12.65%）。菊粉和干酪乳杆菌的组合最为高效，可以同时提高两种样品蘑菇的生长性能和营养成分。此外在白平菇（***）中，菊粉和干酪乳杆菌组合的合生元可产生最高的总酚含量（20.550 mg GAE/g DE），而在灰蘑菇（P. pulmonarius）中产生最高总酚含量的是干酪乳杆菌（1.098 mg GAE/g DE），其次是菊粉和干酪乳杆菌（1.079 mg GAE/g DE）。DPPH结果表明，平菇可以作为一种有效的抗氧化剂。综上，合生元可通过增加酚类化合物的含量来提高蘑菇的抗氧化能力，并通过增加矿物质元素的含量来提供更好的健康益处，从而提高了蘑菇的品质。上述研究证明了合生元作为一种生物肥料用于蘑菇栽培的应用潜力，是帮助蘑菇种植者解决质量不稳定的一个有效方案。

Pixel value differencing(PVD)steganography techniques produce imperceptible *** PVD-based techniques have a fkll-off boundary problem(FOBP).To avoid FOB£a steganographic scheme is presented that combines the quotient value difference(QVD)with pixel value correlation(PVC).It performs data embedding in two stages on 3 x 3 size pixel *** first stage of the embedding procedure performs QVD and remainder substitution on five *** five pixels are central pixel and it*s neighbours on the left,right,upper,and lower *** on the new values of these five pixels,the PVC embedding procedure is applied on the remaining four corner pixels of the *** experimental results are found to be *** hiding capacity is high that is 3.92 bits per byte with an acceptable peak signal-to-noise ratio value.A security check was performed using two tests:(i)a regular-singular(RS)test,(ii)a pixel difference histogram(PDH)*** experimental outcomes demonstrate that PDH curves of the stego-images do not have a zigzag shape,that means the PDH test could not detect this steganography ***,the RS curves show that the RS test could not detect this steganography technique.

Infertility due to polycystic ovarian syndrome （PCOS） is a worldwide problem that is increasing at alarming rates. Insulin resistance, the prime factor of PCOS, induces comorbid metabolic syndrome as well. Durian （Durio zibenthinus Linn）, a fruit of Southeast Asia, is used as a natural supplement in healthy diets. This paper is a short literature review that examines the fruit＇s effects against various components of metabolic syndrome and its fertility-enhancing properties in PCOS. Various published literature was reviewed to learn of the anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-obesity, anticholesterol, and antihypoglycaemic nature of the fruit. The literature search was done using PubMed, Google Scholar and library databases. The keywords used were polycystic ovarian syndrome, infertility, metabolic syndrome and Durian zibenthinus Linn. Reviewed studies showed that the fruit is effective against various components of metabolic syndrome, but the mechanisms of action against anovulation and menstrual disturbances in PCOS have yet to be studied. The traditional use of durian as a fertility-enhancing agent needs to be validated scientifically by isolating its various components and ascertaining its fertility enhancing properties.

Facile ionic mobility within host frameworks is crucial to the design of high-energy-density batteries with high-power-densities,where the migration barrier(Em)is the governing ***,we assess the accuracy and computational performance of generalized gradient approximation(GGA),the strongly constrained and appropriately normed(SCAN),and their Hubbard U corrections,GGA+U and SCAN+U,within the density functional theory-nudged elastic band framework,in the prediction of Em as benchmarked against experimental ***,we observe SCAN to be more accurate than other frameworks,on average,albeit with higher computational costs and convergence difficulties,while GGA is a feasible choice for“quick”and“qualitative”Em ***,we quantify the sensitivity of Em with adding uniform background charge and/or the climbing image approximation in solid electrolytes,and the Hubbard U correction in *** findings will improve the quality of Em predictions which will enable identifying better materials for energy storage applications.
