Gastrointestinal infections are a major cause for serious clinical complications in *** induction of antibody responses by B cells is critical for protective immunity against infections and requires CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells(TFH cells).We investigated the ontogeny of CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells in human *** CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells were absent in fetal intestines,CXCR5+PD-1++CD4+T cells increased after birth and were abundant in infant intestines,resulting in significant higher numbers compared to *** findings were supported by scRNAseq analyses,showing increased frequencies of CD4+T cells with a TFH gene signature in infant intestines compared to ***-cultures of autologous infant intestinal CXCR5+PD-1+/−CD4+T cells with B cells further demonstrated that infant intestinal TFH cells were able to effectively promote class switching and antibody production by B *** together,we demonstrate that functional TFH cells are numerous in infant intestines,making them a promising target for oral pediatric vaccine strategies.

An analysis of the reproducibility from signal record bioelectric heart activity is presented. The measurements were carried out with a recently patented medical device, which one is able to record the curves of pressure arterial and venous as those obtained using the gold standard technique in these evaluations, the cardiac catheterization technique. The measurements were carried out 15 health subjects and patients;each one was measured 5 times in order to have auto-correlations and correlations of these records. Analysis indicates correlations from 0.9 to 1 as long as p values were below 0.05. It is indicated an excellent reproducibility of evaluated patients.

Purpose To complement and ensure redundancy in the endcap muon system of the Compact Muon Solenoid(CMS)detector and to extend the Resistive Plate Chamber(RPC)system coverage,improved RPCs(iRPCs)with either orthogonal layer strips with one-end electronics or single layer strips with two-end electronics providing more precise time measurement will be installed in the very forward pseudorapidity region of|η|detector data with Timing,Trigger and fast Control(TTC)and Slow Control(SC)into one data stream over a bi-directional optical link with a line rate of 4.8 Gb/s between the Front-End Electronics(FEE)and the Back-End Electronics(BEE).To fulfill these requirements,a prototype BEE for the iRPC 2D chamber has been researched and *** A Micro-Telecommunication and Computing Architecture(μTCA)-based processing card was designed in this study to establish a prototype system together with aμTCA *** Giga-Bit Transceiver(GBT)protocol is integrated to provide bi-directional communication between the FEE and BEE.A server is connected with the BEE by a Gigabit Ethernet(GbE)link for SC and a 10-GbE link for Data AcQuisition(DAQ).Results The Bit Error Rate(BER)test of the back-end board and a joint test with the iRPC 2D prototype chamber were *** less than 1.331×10−16 was *** timemeasurement with a resolution of 3.05 nswas successfully realized,and detector efficiencies of 97.7%for longitudinal strips and 96.0%for orthogonal strips were *** results demonstrate the correctness and reliability of the prototype *** The BEE prototype satisfies the requirements for the iRPC 2D chamber,and it worked stably and reliably during a long-term joint test run.

背景:糖尿病肺结核患者产生异常X线影像的比较性研究。目的:对大量糖尿病肺结核患者的X线影像进行评价。设计:复习住院的糖尿病肺结核患者(TBDM组,n=192)的X线片,与对照组单纯肺结核病患者(TB组,n=130)进行比较。结果:两组的结核病演变时间相似(～2年)。所观察到的统计学差异如下:TBDM组病人年龄较高(为51.3±0.9岁,TB组为44.9±1.8岁,均数±均数标准误),上肺野发生率降低(17％比56％),下肺野病变发生率(19％比7％)及上肺野加下肺野病变率之和(82％比59％)升高。TBMD组发生空洞的病人多(82％比59％),并且多发生于下肺野(29％比3％)。多发空洞常见于TBDM组病人(25％比2％)。TBDM组病人白细胞总数偏低(8836.7±219.5比10013.1±345.2/mm^3),主要由于非淋巴细胞的白细胞数低(6815.8±221.8比8095.7±321.9/mm^3)。多元logistic回归分析显示,糖尿病是造成下肺野病灶和空洞最重要的因素。结论:本研究以大量糖尿病肺结核患者资料证实这些病人的胸部X线影像与典型的表现显著不同。临床医生必须牢记这点以避免误诊。

dear Editor,In the European region,which shares 22.8%of the global cancer burden for 10%of the global population,there were around 4.4 million new cancer cases and 1.9 million deaths from cancer in 2020[1].The reasons for the high cancer incidence rates are complex;however,diet and dietary components are among the main contributors to cancer risk[2].In modern-day living,a growing proportion of people include in their diets ultra-processed *** of food processing and home-prepared foods are so-called dietary advanced glycation endproducts(AGEs),which are reactive metabolites emerging during the breakdown of reducing *** production is preponderant in dry high-heat processes(e.g.,baking,roasting);hence foods such as cakes,crisps,crackers,cereal products,meat and meat-derived products represent a major source of dietary AGEs[3].

Background: Recently, gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT) has been investigated as a predictive factor for therapy response in hepatitis C patients, but so far its value in pretreatment screening has not been established. Therefore, this study aimed at evaluating GGT as an independent predictive factor for the response to treatment with interferon-α and ribavirin in hepatitis C virus (HCV)infected patients. Methods: Naive chronic hepatitis C patients undergoing a 6-month follow-up after interferon-alpha and ribavirin therapy had their sustained virologic response (SVR) analyzed according to age, sex, body mass index, GGT levels, genotype, and liver histology by use of a multivariate logistic regression model. Results: Of the 211 patients studied with amean age of 48 ± 10 years, 125 (59% )were males. Overweight was detected in 47% of patients. Genotype 1 was detected in 141 (75% ) of the 187 patients tested. Cirrhosis was present in 67 (32% ). A high pretreatment GGT level was observed in 134 (63% ). SVR was obtained in 84 (40% ) patients. In the final logistic regression model, the variables independently associated with SVR were GGT (P dependent predictive factor for SVR in HCV-infected patients and should be considered for pretreatment screening.
