Acute coronary syndromes constitute a variety of myocardial injury presentations that include a subset of patients presenting with myocardial infarction with non-obstructive coronary arteries(MINOCA).This acute coronary syndrome differs from type 1 myocardial infarction(MI)regarding patient characteristics,presentation,physiopathology,management,treatment,and ***-thirds of MINOCA subjects present ST-segment elevation;MINOCA patients are younger,are more often female and tend to have fewer cardiovascular risk ***,MINOCA is a working diagnosis,and defining the aetiologic mechanism is relevant because it affects patient care and *** the absence of relevant coronary artery disease,myocardial ischaemia might be triggered by an acute event in epicardial coronary arteries,coronary microcirculation,or *** causes of MINOCA include coronary plaque disruption,coronary dissection,and coronary *** MINOCA mechanisms involve microvascular coronary spasm,takotsubo syndrome(TTS),myocarditis,and coronary *** angiography with non-significant coronary stenosis and left ventriculography are first-line tests in the differential study of MINOCA *** diagnostic arsenal includes invasive and non-invasive *** history and echocardiography can help indicate vasospasm or thrombosis,if one finite coronary territory is affected,or specify TTS if apical ballooning is *** ultrasound,optical coherence tomography,and provocative testing are *** magnetic resonance is a cornerstone in myocarditis *** is not a benign diagnosis,and its polymorphic forms differ in *** care varies across centres,and future multi-centre clinical trials with standardized criteria may have a positive impact on defining optimal cardiovascular care for MINOCA patients.

Background Little information exists about the role of anemia in patients with acute coronary syndromes(ACS)admitted to Intensive Cardiac Care Units(ICCU).The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence of anemia and its impact on management and outcomes in this clinical *** All consecutive patients admitted to eight different ICCUs with diagnosis of non-ST segment elevation ACS(NSTEACS)were prospectively *** was defined as hemoglobinder,with a higher prevalence of comorbidities,poorer left ventricle ejection fraction and higher GRACE score *** with anemia underwent less often coronary angiography,but underwent more often intraaortic counterpulsation,non-invasive mechanical ventilation and renal replacement *** ICCU and hospital stay were significantly longer in patients with *** the incidence of mortality(HR=3.36,95%CI:1.43–7.85,P=0.001)and the incidence of mortality/readmission were significantly higher in patients with anemia(HR=2.80,95%CI:2.03–3.86,P=0.001).After adjusting for confounders,the association between anemia and mortality/readmission remained significant(P=0.031).Conclusions Almost one of three NSTEACS patients admitted to ICCU had *** patients underwent coronary *** was independently associated to poorer outcomes at 6 months.

[背景]颗粒物(PM)与人类健康之间的关联随着季节变化而不同,这种现象可能与颗粒物的成分以及毒性相关的季节性交互作用有关。[目的]检测PM成分的季节性变化,并使用多个PM样本评估PM的体外促炎症可能性。[方法]以5个污染源不同的城市地区为采集地点,每周采集样本,在多雨温暖季节和干燥寒冷季节累积采集90份PM_(10)和PM_(2.5)样本。对其中检测到的元素、多环芳烃(PAHs)和内毒素进行主成分分析(PCA)。在人单核细胞(THP-1)中检测PM诱导肿瘤坏死因子α(TNFα)和白介素6(IL-6)分泌的可能性,并用组分评分建立促炎症反应的模型。[结果]PM的成分随其大小和季节而变化。PCA确定了PM中两种随季节变化的主要组分。燃烧相关的成分(如钒、苯并(a)芘、苯并(a)蒽)组成组分1(C_1),土壤相关的成分(如内毒素、硅、铝)组成组分2(C_2)。多雨温暖季节采集的PM中C_2含量较高,而干燥寒冷季节采集的PM(尤其是PM_(2.5))中C_1含量较高。细胞因子生成水平与PM_(10)和C_2(多雨温暖季节)正相关,但与PM_(2.5)和C_1(干燥寒冷季节)负相关。C_2含量较高的PM暴露水平越高,TNFα分泌越多;样本含有≥0.1%的C_1相关PAHs时,无论样本中C_2含量高低,暴露于该样本后TNFα对PM的反应性分泌都会降低。IL-6检测结果提示PM成分和颗粒大小之间存在复杂的交互作用。[结论]TNFα分泌具有季节性并与PM大小相关,PM中的土壤含量及PAH含量的变化是其根本原因。这些结果提示,流行病学研究中一些健康结局与PM之间关联的季节性差异能用PM组分的混合物来解释。

demographic changes during the late Pleistocene-Holocene left signatures in the DNA of contemporary populations. These signatures reveal demographic phenomena like the increase or decrease in effective population size. In this paper we searched for signatures of demographic change in the DNA of the Neotropical freshwater fish Poecilia vivipara. Also, we investigated whether demographic changes are correlated with palaeoclimatic events of the late Pleistocene-Holocene, in particular, if changes in effective population size are correlated with expansion and contraction of available habitats, induced by global ice-volume changes and sea-level fluctuations. We used Bayesian Skyline Plot (BSP) analysis with sequences from the mitochondrial gene cytochrome b to estimate the ancestral demography of the Neotropical freshwater fish P. vivipara. To test the assumptions of neutrality and absence of population structure we used Tajima’s D and Spatial Analysis of Molecular Variance (SAMOVA), respectively. Effective population size of P. vivipara remained stable until 75,000 years ago, increased by 10-fold reaching a maximum at approximately 25,000 years ago, then suddenly declined at the Pleistocene-Holocene boundary. Variation in effective population size in P. vivipara correlates with expansion and contraction of habitats induced by sea-level fluctuations, caused by the advance and retreat of ice sheets during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM).

Foliar Analysis as an Estimate on the Nutritional State of Conilon Coffee Plantations on Cambisoils

The objective of this paper relies on the establishment of the sampling moment and the nutritional state of the species Conilon coffee （Coffea canephora） cultivated in Cambisoils. The effect of different rates of nitrogen fertilization was also studied in the leaves concentrations of N, at randomized complete block designs （N0= 0; N1 = 50; N2 = 100; N3 = 150 and N4 = 200 ***^-1 of N） in presence of P （40 ***^-1 of P2O5） and K （160 ***^-1 of K2O）, with four replicates. The samples were carried out in the months of March （flower blossoming stage）, June （fruits growing stage）, September （grain development） and december （maturation） in all treatments. Foliar analysis carried out in the month of June （fruits growing stage） for the purpose of establishing critical nutrient range values for N, settling down approaches of interpretation of the same one for the Conilon coffee plantations on Cambisoils. The biggest percentages in the yields are obtained with leaves containing N between 2.80% and 3.10%, a value below 2.80% N which they associated with indicative percentages of stable maximum yield that did not surpass the limits of the adequate nutrients supply.

BACKGROUND To achieve the elimination of hepatitis B and C,there is an urgent need to develop alternative strategies to increase the access of diagnosis,particularly among key populations such as people living with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV),individuals with coagulopathies and chronic kidney disease(CKD)*** To evaluate the use of dried blood spot(DBS)in the detection of hepatitis B virus(HBV)and hepatitis C virus(HCV)*** A total of 430 individuals comprised of people living with HIV,coagulopathies and CKD provided paired serum and DBS ***,anti-HBc and anti-HCV were tested in those samples using a commercial *** and selected behavioral variables were evaluated to assess possible association with HBV and HCV *** Using DBS,HBsAg prevalence varied from 3.9%to 22.1%,anti-HBc rates varied from 25.5%to 45.6%and anti-HCV positivity ranged from 15.9%to 41.2%in key *** of HBV and HCV tests using DBS varied from 88.9%to 100%.The HBsAg assay demonstrated the best performance in CKD and coagulopathy individuals and the anti-HCV test had a sensitivity and specificity of 100%in people living with *** of HBV and HCV detection in DBS varied from 90.2%to 100%.In the CKD group,HBsAg positivity was associated with infrequent use of condoms,and anti-HBc positivity was associated with sharing nail cutters/razors/***-HCV reactivity was positively associated with a history of transplantation and length of time using hemodialysis in both *** people living with HIV,only the male gender was associated with anti-HBc positivity in serum and *** DBS with electrochemiluminescence are useful tools for the diagnosis and prevalence studies of hepatitis B and C among key populations and may increase the opportunity to foster prevention and treatment.

Reversible protein phosphorylation is a central regulatory mechanism of cell function. deregulation of the balanced actions of protein kinases and phosphatases has been frequently associated with several pathological conditions, including cancer. Many studies have already addressed the role of protein kinases misregulation in cancer. However, much less is known about protein phosphatases influence. Phosphoprotein Phosphatase 1 (PPP1) is one of the major serine/threonine protein phosphatases who has three catalytic isoforms: PPP1CA, PPP1CB, and PPP1CC. Its function is achieved by binding to regulatory subunits, known as PPP1-interacting proteins (PIPs), which may prefer a catalytic isoform. Also, some inhibitors/enhancers may exhibit isoform specificity. Here we show that, prodigiosin (PG), a molecule with anticancer properties, promotes the formation of PPP1CA-AKT complex and not of PPP1CC-MAPK complex. Both, AKT and MAPK, are well-known PIPs from two pathways that crosstalk and regulate melanoma cells survival. In addition, the analysis performed using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology indicates that PPP1 interacts with obatoclax (OBX), a drug that belongs to the same family of PG. Overall, these results suggest that PG might, at least in part, act through PPP1C/PIPs. Also, this study is pioneer in demonstrating PPP1 isoform-specific modulation by small molecules.
