Reliable calculations of nuclear binding energies by the Gaussian process of machine learning

Reliable calculations of nuclear binding energies are crucial for advancing the research of nuclear physics. Machine learning provides an innovative approach to exploring complex physical problems. In this study, the nuclear binding energies are modeled directly using a machine-learning method called the Gaussian process. First, the binding energies for 2.38 nuclei with Z > 2. and N > 2. are calculated using the Gaussian process in a physically motivated feature space, yielding an average deviation of 0.046 MeV and a standard deviation of 0.066 MeV. The results show the good learning ability of the Gaussian process in the studies of binding energies. Then, the predictive power of the Gaussian process is studied by calculating the binding energies for 108 nuclei newly included in AME2.2.. The theoretical results are in good agreement with the experimental data, reflecting the good predictive power of the Gaussian process. Moreover, the α-decay energies for 1169 nuclei with 50 ≤ Z ≤ 110 are derived from the theoretical binding energies calculated using the Gaussian process. The average deviation and the standard deviation are, respectively, 0.047 MeV and 0.070 MeV. Noticeably, the calculated α-decay energies for the two new isotopes ^ (2.4 )Ac(Huang et al. Phys Lett B 834, 137484(2.2.)) and ^ (2.7) Th(Yang et al. Phys Rev C 105, L051302.2.2.)) agree well with the latest experimental data. These results demonstrate that the Gaussian process is reliable for the calculations of nuclear binding energies. Finally, the α-decay properties of some unknown actinide nuclei are predicted using the Gaussian process. The predicted results can be useful guides for future research on binding energies and α-decay properties.

This paper proposes a measurement method related to the braking deformation of a complex *** the braking process,the deformation of the wheel includes large amounts of movement,vibration,warping,and distortion.A novel subset assignment and correlation method is proposed to measure the complex *** proposed method can greatly improve the accuracy and stability of the calculation of complex deformations by simplifying the complex deformation into translational deformations in logarithmic coordinate *** to the simulation and actual experiments,the proposed method can be utilized to measure the deformations of up to 100%tensile strain under complex *** to the accuracy verification experiment,the error of the proposed method is less than 50 *** results show that the proposed method can effectively carry out structural deformation measurement in the complex motion and deformation *** proposed method has great significance for structural performance analysis and optimization design considering complex motion and deformation.

With more multi-modal data available for visual classification tasks,human action recognition has become an increasingly attractive ***,one of the main challenges is to effectively extract complementary features from different modalities for action *** this work,a novel multimodal supervised learning framework based on convolution neural networks(Conv Nets)is proposed to facilitate extracting the compensation features from different modalities for human action *** on information aggregation mechanism and deep Conv Nets,our recognition framework represents spatial-temporal information from the base modalities by a designed frame difference aggregation spatial-temporal module(FDA-STM),that the networks bridges information from skeleton data through a multimodal supervised compensation block(SCB)to supervise the extraction of compensation *** evaluate the proposed recognition framework on three human action datasets,including NTU RGB+D 60,NTU RGB+D 12.,and *** results demonstrate that our model with FDA-STM and SCB achieves the state-of-the-art recognition performance on three benchmark datasets.

We present an innovative approach for the simultaneous agile manipulation of high-refractive-index(HRI) and low-refractive-index(LRI) particles. Our method involves introducing a dual-curvilinear optical vortex beam(DC-OVB) generated by superimposing a pair of curved beams: HRI and LRI particles are controlled by the bright curve and the dark channel between the two curves, respectively. The proposed DC-OVB provides customizable motion paths and velocities for both LRI and HRI particles. Each curve of the DC-OVB can support a distinct orbital flow density(OFD), enabling the application of torques to HRI and LRI particles, guiding them to orbit along specified trajectories and prompting them to execute various curvilinear motions simultaneously,including curvilinear movement, revolution, and rotation.
