The pear(Pyrus spp.)is well known for diverse flavors,textures,and global horticultural ***,the genetic diversity responsible for its extensive phenotypic variations remains largely ***,we de novo assembled and annotated the genomes of the maternal(PsbM)and paternal(PsbF)lines of the hybrid‘Yuluxiang'pear and constructed the pear pangenome of 1.15 Gb by combining these two genomes with five previously published pear genomes representing cultivated and wild *** the constructed pangenome,we identified 21224 gene PAVs(Presence-absence variation)and 1158812 SNPs(Single Nucleotide Polymorphism)in the non-reference genome that were absent in the PsbM reference *** with SNP markers,PAV-based analysis provides additional insights into the pear population *** addition,some genes associated with pear fruit quality traits have differential occurrence frequencies and differential gene expression between Asian and European ***,our analysis of the pear pangenome revealed a mutated SNP and an insertion in the promoter region of the gene PsbMGH3.1 potentially enhance sepal shedding in‘xuehuali'which is vital for pear ***3.1 may play a role in the IAA pathway,contributing to a distinct low-auxin phenotype observed in plants by heterologously overexpressing this *** research helps capture the genetic diversity of pear populations and provides genomic resources for accelerating breeding.

Clinical features of coronary artery ectasia in the elderly

Objective To investigate the incidence, imaging and clinical characteristics in elderly patients with coronary artery ectasia （CAE）. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on patients with CAE who underwent coronary angiography between January 2006 and December 2012. According to age, the enrolled patients were divided into two groups （elderly group, age≥ 65 years; non-elderly group, age 〈 65 years）. The clinical feature, imaging characteristics and the 5-year survival rate of the two groups were *** The preva-lence of CAE in elderly patients was 0.33%. Patients in elderly group were found to have significantly higher proportion of female （30.1%vs. 10.1%,P〈 0.001）, three-vessel disease （60.5%vs. 45.2%,P = 0.003） and localized ectasia （55.0%vs. 40.2%,P = 0.003）. In addition, body mass index （20.90 ± 2.71 kg/m2vs. 22.31 ± 2.98 kg/m2,P 〈 0.001） and percentage of current smokers （45.0%vs. 64.6%,P 〈 0.001） were significantly lower in elderly group. Cumulative survival curves demonstrated reduced 5-year cumulative survival at the follow-up in the elderly group compared with the non-elderly group （88.0%vs. 96.0%,P = 0.002）. But the 5-year event free survival rate failed to show a significant difference between the two groups （31.0%vs. 35.0%,P= 0.311）.ConclusionThe prevalence of CAE in elderly patients was 0.33%, which was about 1/3 of the entire numbers of CAE patients. There were significant differences between the elderly and the non-elderly patients with CAE in terms of coronary artery disease risk factors and coronary artery ectatic characteristics. CAE might be asso-ciated with increased mortality risk in the elderly.

Application of occluders in endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms

Since Parodi et all reported the first successful case of endovascular treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysm （AAA） in 1991, the endovascular repair has become an important option for the surgical treatment of aortic aneurysms.2-4 The occluder is a newly-developed device introduced intraluminally to block the blood flow in certain arteries. It was mainly adopted by cardiologists in occluding the ventricular septal defect （VSD） and atrial septal defect （ASD）.5-6 Afterwards, vascular surgeons found it could also be used in endovascular repair of aortic aneurysms, especially when the aorto-uni-iliac （AUI） stent-grafts were implanted.7 Herein we present 6 patients with AAA, who were treated with endovascular deployment of AUI stent-grafts combined with a newly- designed occluder.

Background Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is a common infectious disease in childhood caused by an enterovirus (EV), and which is principally seen in children under 5 years of age. To promote diagnostic awareness and effective treat-ments, to further standardize and strengthen the clinical management and to reduce the mortality of HFMD, the guidelines for diagnosis and treatment have been developed. Methods National Health Commission of China assembled an expert committee for a revision of the guidelines. The com-mittee included 33 members who are specialized in diagnosis and treatment of HFMD. Results Early recognition of severe cases is utmost important in diagnosis and treatment of patients with HFMD. The key to diagnosis and treatment of severe cases lies in the timely and accurate recognition of stages 2 and 3 of HFMD, in order to stop progression to stage 4. Clinicians should particularly pay attention to those EV-A71 cases in children aged less than 3 years, and those with disease duration less than 3 days. The following indicators should alert the clinician of possible deterioration and impending critical disease: (1) persistent hyperthermia;(2) involvement of nervous system;(3) worsening respiratory rate and rhythm;(4) circulatory dysfunction;(5) elevated peripheral WBC count;(6) elevated blood glucose and (7) elevated blood lactic acid. For treatment, most mild cases can be treated as outpatients. Patients should be isolated to avoid cross-infection. Intense treatment modalities should be given for those severe cases. Conclusion The guidelines can provide systematic guidance on the diagnosis and management of HFMD.

Endovascular repair for a huge vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm caused by Behcet's disease

Behcet＇s disease （BD）, a multisystem chronic autoimmune process of unknown etiology, usually leads to arterial impairment. Isolated case reports have described BD-related arterial dissections, pseudoaneurysms or aneurysms. Recently, we successfully treated a huge vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm （VAPA） in a patient with BD by stent-grafting with preservation of the affected vertebral artery.

Inner ear disorders are a cluster of diseases that cause hearing loss in more than 1.5 billion people ***,the presence of the blood-labyrinth barrier(BLB)on the surface of the inner ear capillaries greatly hinders the effectiveness of systemic drugs for prevention and intervention due to the low permeability,which restricts the entry of most drug compounds from the bloodstream into the inner ear ***,we report the finding of a novel receptor,low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1(LRP1),that is expressed on the BLB,as a potential target for shuttling therapeutics across this *** a proof-ofconcept,we developed an LRP1-binding peptide,IETP2,and covalently conjugated a series of model small-molecule compounds to it,including potential drugs and imaging *** compounds were successfully delivered into the inner ear and inner ear lymph,indicating that targeting the receptor LRP1 is a promising strategy to enhance the permeability of the *** discovery of the receptor LRP1 will illuminate developing strategies for crossing the BLB and for improving systemic drug delivery for inner ear disorders.

Stent-grafting combined with transcatheter embolization for a ruptured isolated hypogastric artery aneurysm

Rupture of isolated hypogastric artery aneurysm （HAA） is rarely encountered and is associated with a high mortality rate. Conventional surgery can not achieve distal control easily and may cause substantial blood loss, yielding high operative morbidity and mortality. On March 17, 2005, we treated a patient with such a disease successfully by using endovascular stent-grafting combined with transcatheter embolization.

Room temperature Na-ion batteries(SIBs) show great potential for use as renewable energy storage ***, the large-scale application of SIBs has been hindered by the lack of an ideal SIBs anode material. We synthesized MoS2 on carbonized graphene-chitosan(G-C) using the hydrothermal method. The strong interaction between the MoS2 and the G-C greatly improved the electron transport rate and maintained the structural stability of the electrode, which lead to both an excellent rate capability and long cycle stability. The G-C monolith was proven to enhance the electrical conductivity of the composites and served as a matrix for uniformly dispersing active MoS2 nanosheets(NSs), as well as being a buffer material to adapt to changes in volume during the *** as an anode material for SIBs, the MoS2-G-C electrode showed good cycling stability(527.3mAh g-1 at100 m A g-1 after 200 cycles), excellent rate capability, and a long cycle life(439.1 m Ah g-1 at 1 A g-1 after 200 cycles).

Multi-resolution graph-based clustering analysis for lithofacies identifi cation from well log data: Case study of intraplatform bank gas fi elds, Amu Darya Basin

In this study, we used the multi-resolution graph-based clustering （MRGC） method for determining the electrofacies （EF） and lithofacies （LF） from well log data obtained from the intraplatform bank gas fields located in the Amu Darya Basin. The MRGC could automatically determine the optimal number of clusters without prior knowledge about the structure or cluster numbers of the analyzed data set and allowed the users to control the level of detail actually needed to define the EF. Based on the LF identification and successful EF calibration using core data, an MRGC EF partition model including five clusters and a quantitative LF interpretation chart were constructed. The EF clusters 1 to 5 were interpreted as lagoon, anhydrite flat, interbank, low-energy bank, and high-energy bank, and the coincidence rate in the cored interval could reach 85%. We concluded that the MRGC could be accurately applied to predict the LF in non-cored but logged wells. Therefore, continuous EF clusters were partitioned and corresponding LF were characteristics ＆different LF were analyzed interpreted, and the distribution and petrophysical in the framework of sequence stratigraphy.
