The present study reveals the significance of the magnetic field or Lorentz force on the unsteady natural convection flow and heat transfer in the suddenly expanded *** Lorentz force based magnetohydrodynamics(MHD)solver using electric potential formulation coupled with the energy equation by the means of Boussinesq approximation is developed in the open-source CFD tool *** unsteady flow is generated by the buoyancy force keeping the Rayleigh number(Ra)at 109,at the fixed Prandtl number(Pr)of *** effects of the magnetic field on the flow and heat transfer are explained for various orientations of magnetic field(Bx,B45,and By)in terms of Hartmann number(Ha=0,50,100,300 and 500).The increase in the magnetic field increases the strength of the Lorentz force,which regulates the flow pattern and suppresses down the unsteady nature of flow and heat transfer into the *** is perceived that the average Nusselt number decreases as the intensity of Bx and B45 magnetic field ***,for By magnetic field the average Nusselt number increases up to Ha of 100 as compared to the non-MHD case(Ha=0).The distribution of Lorentz force in the domain plays a significant role in the governing of the fluid flow and heat transfer.

Objective:To discuss the possibility of expressing the haemagglutinin-neuraminidase（HN） protein in prokaryotic system such as Escherichia coli（***） cells by cloning the full length HN ***:The full length HN gene of Newcastle Disease Virus（NDV） of size 1 734 bp was preciously isolated by *** sequence was assessed and submitted to Nucleic Acid Databank（NCBI） and the gene ID was EU215390.1 after cloning and *** the assessed HN gene was subcloned into pET 32 a+ expression vector for production the HN protein in ***, BL21（DE3） PLYSS cells following standard *** crude lysate protein from the induced positive clone was size assessed by sodium dodecyl sulfale-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis （SDS-PAGE） and their haemagglutination（HA） property against chicken RBC was assessed by standard micro HA ***:The molecular size of the full HN gene of NDV as assessed by cloning and digesting the positive clone to release the insert was 1.7 *** expressed protein in both crude and pure form was assessed to be 63 kDa and 81 kDa,*** HA activity of the crude protein of the positive clone was 1 in ***:This finding indicates that the fusion protein retains the biological activity of native protein in the crude form and therefore could be used as a diagnostic reagent for antibody detection and for routine assessment of immune status in commercial layer forms.

This paper presents the design of Optimal Infinite-Impulse Response (IIR) digital filters using Genetic Algorithm (GA). IIR filter is essentially a digital filter with Recursive responses. Since the error surface of digital IIR filters is generally nonlinear and multimodal, global optimization techniques are required in order to avoid local minima. This paper presents heuristic way for the designing IIR filters. GA is a powerful global optimization algorithm introduced in combinatorial optimization problems. The paper finds the optimum Coefficients of IIR digital filter through GA. Design of Lowpass and High pass IIR digital filter is proposed to provide estimate of transition band. It is found that the calculated values are more optimal than fda tool available for the design of filter in MATLAB. The simulation result of the employed examples shows an improvement on transition band and mean-square-error (MSE). The position of pole-zero is also presented to describe stability and results are compared with Simulated Annealing (SA) method.

Intelligent Tool Management Strategies for Automated Manufacturing Systems

With the increase in automation and use of computer control in machine tools, the number of cutting tools per machining setup is on the increase. On one hand, such multi-tool setups offer the advantages of reduced down-time and cost of production and require less space and in-process inventory, and on the other hand, require proper tool management for economic operations. A number of strategies have been devised to solve the tool selection problems and a number of tool replacement policies have been proposed in the past. These strategies have been solved in isolation, whereas, a comprehensive algorithm for proper selection of tools out of those available in the tool magazine for performing operation and for replacement of tools on failure/wear is necessary. In this paper, taking cue from the computer memory management policies, four tool selection strategies have been presented and their performance in tandem with various tool replacement policies has been studied. The effect of important parameters such as reduction of tool life due to regrinding, limited number of regrindings, catastrophic failures etc. have been considered. Cost has been computed for each combination of tool selection and replacement policy. Also, the number of machine stoppages has been worked out in each case. The results indicate that the combination of various selection strategies with suitable replacement policies affects the overall cost.

Sun radiation is known as one of the cleanest energy available and free maintenance on the earth to support the extensive demand for electrical power requirement for large and small scale. This energy is known as most promising renewable energy available during the whole year. This fact has shown a very strong interest among the researchers, industries and consumers to develop technology and system that can harvest solar energy to electrical energy. A lot of researches have been done to explore the capability of sun as natural energy source which is capable to provide huge alternative support to the increasing demand of electrical power in society. All the research findings have been adaptively combined to design, develop and structure as a reliable finished product for end users implementation. The fast improving research in photovoltaic application has proven that photovoltaic renewable energy is considered as one of the most promising source to support the increasing demand in electrical utilization. Advantages implementing the photovoltaic technology will benefit during the fuel price increment and be insufficient of the non-renewable energy to support the increasing demand from the society. Looking into this factor, many industries have developed the electrical photovoltaic system in large, medium and small scale for implementation. Electricity is becoming an essential requirement because of the increasing demand for electrical power from the society. AIM:To investigate the in vitro antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of the methanolic leaf extract of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis L.(NA).METHODS:The sample was tested using five in vitro antioxidant methods(1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazine radical scavenging activity(DPPH),hydroxyl radical-scavenging activity(-OH),nitric oxide scavenging activity(NO),superoxide radical-scavenging activity,and total antioxidant activity)to evaluate the in vitro antioxidant potential of NA and the total phenolic content(Folin-Ciocalteu method).The extract showed good free radical scavenging property which was calculated as an ***:IC50(Half maximal inhibitory concentration)of the methanolic extract was found to be 57.93μg·mL for DPPH,98.61μg·mL for-OH,91.74μg·mL for NO,and 196.07μg·mL for superoxide radical scavenging *** antioxidant capacity of the extract was found to be(1198±24.05)mg ascorbic acid for the methanolic *** radical scavenging activity observed in the extracts of NA showed a concentration-dependent *** in vitro scavenging tested for free radicals was reported to be due to high phenolic content in the leaf *** leaf extract of NA showed the highest total phenolic content with a value of78.48±4.2 equivalent mg TAE/g(tannic acid equivalent).CONCLUSIONS:***-tristis leaf extract exhibited potent free radical scavenging *** finding suggests that ***-tristis leaves could be a potential source of natural antioxidant.

Hemorrhage, usually occur in the postpartum period, is responsible between one quarter and one third of obstetric deaths. According to the world health organization, obstetrics hemorrhage causes 127,000 deaths annually worldwide and is the leading cause of maternal mortality. Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is a frequent complication of delivery and its incidence is commonly reported as 2% - 4% after vaginal delivery and 6% after cesarean section with uterine atony being the cause in about 50% cases. The risk of dying from PPH depends not only on the amount and the rate of blood loss but also the health status of the woman. PPH remains the number one killer of mothers and accounts about 28% of all maternal deaths in developing countries. There is an increase risk in the PPH even in developed countries due to number of changes in recent years. In India, Maternal mortality rate (MMR) is 212 but in the state of Manipur (Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, RIMS), situated in the far corner of North East MMR is 91.68 (94 maternal deaths/102525 live births during year 2000-2010). Out of 94 deaths, 53.19% died due to hemorrhage and PPH accounts about 21.27% of total deaths. Again, almost all these PPH died within the first 24 hours of admission. High parity and home delivery brought late due to varied reasons with preexisting anemia are the common problems on analysis of maternal deaths due to PPH in our set up. Whatever the cause, death should be preventable and outcome is largely dependent upon timely interference and efficiency and vigor of medical practitioners. A pregnant woman and her family must understand the risks involved in each pregnancy. Even with different interventions and blood transfusion facility, maternal deaths cannot be brought down to zero. But the best available health care facilities should be made available to all.
