Evaluation of wound healing and antimicrobial potentials of Ixora coccinea root extract

Objective:To evaluate the wound healing and antimicrobial activity of root extracts of Ixora coccinea(***).Methods:To investigate the wound healing efficacy of root extract of *** Linn,five groups of animals were divided each containing six *** wound models including incision and excision wound models were used in this *** parameters studied were tensile strength on incision wound model and in terms of wound contraction for excision wound model were compared with standard Nitrofurazone(NFZ) ointment(0.2%w/w). Six extracts(***,petroleum ether,benzene,chloroform and ethyl acetate ) of I. coccinea were screened for in vitro growth inhibiting activity against different bacterial strains riz. Staphylococcia *** pumilius,Enterococcus *** coli,Salmonella typhi and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and fungi Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger were compared with the standard drugs ciprofloxacin and chloramphenicol for antibacterial and griscofulvin for antifungal *** serial dilution and cup(or) well plate methods were used for the antimicrobial study and MIC was ***:The ethanolic extract showed significant (P<0.001) wound healing activity when compared to standard drug NFZ with respect to normal control *** *** extract showed highly significant antibacterial activity against all bacterial strains used in this study when compared to *** aqueous extract showed moderate significant inhibition against all bacterial strains when compared to standard. All the extracts were shown negligible activity against the fungal strains used in this study. Conclusions:The ethanolic root extract of *** showed pronounced wound healing and antibacterial *** probable reason to heal the wound was that the external application of the extract prevented the microbes to invade through the wound thus the protection of wound occurs against the infection of the various or

Vilsmeier reagent formed from phthaloyl dichloride and DMF was found to be very effective for converting 2-hydroxyacetophenones, deoxybenzoins and dihydrochalcones into corresponding chromones, isoflavones and homoisoflavones with excellent yield. This method offers significant advantages such as efficiency and mild reaction conditions with shorter reaction time.

This paper points out that delayed or no supply of software can kill potential benefits associated with new mathematical ideas that have led to development of new mathematics in OR. It also points out that it is a self-created situation by the scientific community. This situation needs attention and should be resolved urgently. Many illustrative examples have been given to justify the claim.

The inverse relationship between the warm phase of the El Nino Southern Oscillation(ENSO)and the Indian Summer Monsoon Rainfall(ISMR)is well ***,some El Nino events that occur in the early months of the year(boreal spring)transform into a neutral phase before the start of summer,whereas others begin in the boreal summer and persist in a positive phase throughout the summer monsoon *** study investigates the distinct influences of an exhausted spring El Nino(springtime)and emerging summer El Nino(summertime)on the regional variability of *** two ENSO categories were formulated based on the time of occurrence of positive SST anomalies over the Nino-3.4 region in the *** ISMR’s dynamical and thermodynamical responses to such events were investigated using standard metrics such as the Walker and Hadley circulations,vertically integrated moisture flux convergence(VIMFC),wind shear,and upper atmospheric *** monsoon circulation features are remarkably different in response to the exhausted spring El Nino and emerging summer El Nino phases,which distinctly dictate regional rainfall *** dynamic and thermodynamic responses reveal that exhausted spring El Nino events favor excess monsoon rainfall over eastern peninsular India and deficit rainfall over the core monsoon regions of central *** contrast,emerging summer El Nino events negatively impact the seasonal rainfall over the country,except for a few regions along the west coast and northeast India.

Missing, swapping, false insurance claims and reallocation of pet animals (dog) are global problems throughout the world and research done to solve this problem is minimal. Traditional biometrics and non-biometrics methods have their own boundaries and they fail to provide competent level of security to pet animal (dog). The work on animal identification based on their phenotype appearance (coat patterns) has been an active research area in recent years and automatic face recognition for dog is not reported in the literature. Dog identification needs innovative research to protect the pet animal. Therefore it is imperative to initiate research, so that future face recognition algorithm will be able to solve this important problem for identification of pet animal (like dog, cat). In this paper an attempt has been made to minimize the above mentioned problems by biometrics face recognition of dog. The contributions of this research are: 1) implementation of an existing biometrics algorithm which mitigates the effects of covariates for dogs;2) proposed fusion based method for recognition of pet animal with 94.86% accuracy. Thus in this paper, we have tried to demonstrate that face recognition of dog can be used to recognize the dog efficiently.

The yield of tar and syngas has been investigated by catalytic pyrolysis of Pingzhuang lignite(PZL)over Ca(OH)2 catalyst in temperature range of 600℃-1000℃in a tube *** results show that the yield of volatile pyrolysis increases and char decreases with rising temperature for both raw and catalyzed Pingzhuang *** hydrogen fraction(H2)increased from 20%to 40%for the PZL sample;but,for the PZL-Ca(OH)2 sample,H2 fraction fluctuated randomly between 35%to 42%,with the maximum H2 fraction found at 1000℃.The Gaschromatography mass-spectroscopic(GC-MS)analysis revealed that the maximum tar yield at 800℃and 700℃was obtained for PZL and PZL-Ca(OH)2,*** surface morphology of PZL and PZL-Ca(OH)2 chars underwent different transformation in the presence of catalyst as illustrated by SEM/EDX,FTIR,and BET ***,char sample was investigated for the carbon conversion and reactivity index using TGA analysis under N2 and CO atmosphere.

The interaction between the classes or within the classes shows the complexity of the design. For one smaller problem, there may be more than one software design but who will be the best;depends on the complexity level of software design. Therefore, coupling and cohesion which shows the interlinking of classes and strength of classes;control the complexity of the design. The best software object oriented design is based upon the low coupling and high cohesion level. In the present work, a real case study of Life Insurance policy for handicapped person is demonstrated through the UML Class Diagram;coupling and cohesion levels are measured and results are demonstrated in the form of tables.

A New Heuristic for the Convex Quadratic Programming Problem

This paper presents a new heuristic to linearise the convex quadratic programming problem. The usual Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions are used but in this case a linear objective function is also formulated from the set of linear equations and complementarity slackness conditions. An unboundedness challenge arises in the proposed formulation and this challenge is alleviated by construction of an additional constraint. The formulated linear programming problem can be solved efficiently by the available simplex or interior point algorithms. There is no restricted base entry in this new formulation. Some computational experiments were carried out and results are provided.
