pistachio is a nut crop domesticated in the Fertile Crescent and a dioecious species with ZW sex *** sequenced the genomes of pistacia vera cultivar(cv.)Siirt,the female parent,and *** ***,the male *** chromosome-level reference genomes of pistachio were generated,and Z and W chromosomes were *** ZW chromosomes originated from an autosome following the first inversion,which occurred approximately 8.18 *** inversion events in the W chromosome led to the formation of a 12.7-Mb(22.8%of the W chromosome)non-recombining *** W-specific sequences contain several genes of interest that may have played a pivotal role in sex determination and contributed to the initiation and evolution of a ZW sex chromosome system in *** W-specific genes,including defA,defA-like,DYT1,two pTEN1,and two tandem duplications of six VpS13A paralogs,are strong candidates for sex determination or *** history analysis of resequenced genomes suggest that cultivated pistachio underwent severe domestication bottlenecks approximately 7640 years ago,dating the domestication event close to the archeological record of pistachio domestication in *** identified 390,211,and 290 potential selective sweeps in 3 cultivar subgroups that underlie agronomic traits such as nut development and quality,grafting success,flowering time shift,and drought *** findings have improved our understanding of the genomic basis of sex determination/differentiation and horticulturally important traits and will accelerate the improvement of pistachio cultivars and rootstocks.

The program of Cocinas Comunitarias in the state of Oaxaca,Mexico benefits children aged 6 to 12 who attend primary education schools in low-income *** is hoped that this food assistance program will allow children to learn better and develop learning *** this way,a significant reduction in the grade failure rates and dropout rates is expected,which will be reflected in a higher graduation efficiency *** fact,the contribution of this work consists of a methodology for the analysis of the impact of the food subsidy on the academic performance of low-income primary education *** this sense,a multivariate model was constructed to analyze the interrelationships between grade failure,dropout,graduation efficiency rates,food subsidy,and the socio-demographic characteristics of the population that attends primary *** Mexican government expects from this program that the more low-income children complete primary education,the more likely that a higher number of adolescents will complete high school *** scheme is very important for the country’s half population living in poverty and especially in Oaxaca State which is one of poorest states.

AIM: To evaluate daclatasvir vs telaprevir, each combined with peginterferon alfa-2a/ribavirin(peg IFN/RBV), in treatment-naive hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype(GT) 1-infected ***: In this phase 3, randomized, open-label, noninferiority study, 602 patients were randomly assigned(2:1) to daclatasvir vs telaprevir, stratified by IL28 B rs12979860 host genotype(CC vs non-CC), cirrhosis status(compensated cirrhosis vs no cirrhosis), and HCV GT1 subtype(GT1a vs GT1b). patients were selected by study inclusion criteria from a total of 793 enrolled patients. patients received daclatasvir 60 mg once daily or telaprevir 750 mg 3 times daily plus peg IFN/RBV. Daclatasvir recipients received 24 wk of daclatasvir plus peg IFN/RBV; those without an extended rapid virologic response(e RVR; undetectable HCV-RNA at weeks 4 and 12) received an additional 24 wk of peg IFN/RBV. Telaprevir-treated patients received 12 wk of telaprevir plus peg IFN/RBV followed by 12(with e RVR) or 36(no e RVR) wk of peg IFN/RBV. The primary objective was to compare for noninferiority of sustained virologic response rates at posttreatment week 12(SVR12) in GT1b-infected patients. Key secondary objectives were to demonstrate that the rates of anemia(hemoglobin peg IFN/RBV than with telaprevir + peg IFN/RBV among GT1b-infected patients. Resistance testing was performed using population-based sequencing of the NS5 A region for all patients at baseline, and for patients with virologic failure or relapse and HCV-RNA ≥ 1000 IU/m L, to investigate any link between NS5 A polymorphisms associated with daclatasvir resistance and virologic outcome. RESULTS: patient demographics and disease characteristics were generally balanced across treatment arms; however, there was a higher proportion of black/African Americans in the daclatasvir groups(6.0% and 8.2% in the GT1 b and GT1 a groups, respectively) than in the telaprevi

High Roughness Time Series Forecasting Based on Energy Associated of Series

In this study, an algorithm to adjust parameters of high roughness time series based on energy associated of series using a feed-forward NN-based model is presented. The criterion for adjustment consists of building time series values from forecasted time series area and taking into account the roughness of series. These values are approximated by the NN to make a primitive calculated as an area by the predictor filter used as a new entrance. A comparison between this work and another that involves a similar approach to test time series prediction, indicates an improvement for certain sort of series. The NN filter output is intended to approximate the current value available from the series which has the same Hurst parameter as the real time series. The proposed approach is tested over five time series obtained from samples of Mackey-Glass delay differential equations (MG). Therefore, these results show a model performance for time series forecasting and encourage to be applied for meteorological variables measurements such as soil moisture series, daily rainfall and monthly cumulative rainfall time series forecasting..

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus(SARS-CoV)-2 infection induces an exacerbated inflammation driven by innate immunity *** cells(DCs)play a key role in the defense against viral infections,for instance plasmacytoid DCs(pDCs),have the capacity to produce vast amounts of interferon-alpha(IFN-α).In COVID-19 there is a deficit in DC numbers and IFN-αproduction,which has been associated with disease *** this work,we described that in addition to the DC deficiency,several DC activation and homing markers were altered in acute COVID-19 patients,which were associated with multiple inflammatory ***,previously hospitalized and nonhospitalized patients remained with decreased numbers of CD1c+myeloid DCs and pDCs seven months after SARS-CoV-2 ***,the expression of DC markers such as CD86 and CD4 were only restored in previously nonhospitalized patients,while no restoration of integrinβ7 and indoleamine 2,3-dyoxigenase(IDO)levels were *** findings contribute to a better understanding of the immunological sequelae of COVID-19.

The Giant Radio Array for Neutrino Detection(GRAND)is a planned large-scale observatory of ultra-high-energy(UHE)cosmic particles,with energies exceeding 10~8 Ge *** goal is to solve the long-standing mystery of the origin of UHE cosmic *** do this,GRAND will detect an unprecedented number of UHE cosmic rays and search for the undiscovered UHE neutrinos and gamma rays associated to them with unmatched *** will use large arrays of antennas to detect the radio emission coming from extensive air showers initiated by UHE particles in the *** design is modular:20 separate,independent sub-arrays,each of 10000 radio antennas deployed over 10000 km^2.A staged construction plan will validate key detection techniques while achieving important science goals *** we present the science goals,detection strategy,preliminary design,performance goals,and construction plans for GRAND.

Everolimus immunosuppression reduces the serum expression of fibrosis markers in liver transplant recipients

AIM: To evaluate the expression of serum fibrosis markers in liver transplantation(LT) recipients on everolimus monotherapy compared to patients on an anti-calcineurin ***: This cross-sectional case-control study included LT patients on everolimus monotherapy(cases)(E)(n = 30) and matched controls on an anticalcineurin regimen(calcineurin inhibitors, CNI), paired by etiology of liver disease and time since LT(n = 30). Clinical characteristics, blood tests and elastography were collected. Serum levels of transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β), angiopoietin-1, tumor necrosis factor(TNF), platelet derived growth factor, amino-terminal propeptide of type Ⅲ procollagen(pⅢNp), hyaluronicacid(HA), VCM-1(ng/m L), interleukin(IL)-10, interferoninducible protein 10(Ip-10), vascular endothelial growth factor and hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)(pg/m L) were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Expression of these markers between E and CNI was compared. Stratified analysis was done according to factors that may influence liver fibrosis. Variables are described with medians(interquartillic range) or ***: A total of 60 patients [age: 59(49-64), hepatitis C virus(HCV): n = 21(35%), time from LT: 73 mo(16-105)] were included. patients had been on everolimus for a median of 15 mo. No differences in inflammatory activity, ApRI test or liver elastography were found between the groups. No significant differences were observed between the groups in serum levels of pⅢ Np, metalloproteinase type = 1, angiopoietin, HGF, Ip-10, TNF-α, IL-10 and vascular cell adhesion molecule. patients on E had a lower expression of TGF-β [E: 12.7(3.7-133.6), CNI: 152.5(14.4-333.2), p = 0.009] and HA [E: 702.89(329.4-838.2), CNI: 1513.6(691.9-1951.4), p = 0.001] than those on CNI.
