Postnatal development of rat retina:a continuous observation and comparison between the organotypic retinal explant model and in vivo development

The organotypic retinal explant culture has been established for more than a decade and offers a range of unique advantages compared with in vivo experiments and cell ***,the lack of systematic and continuous comparison between in vivo retinal development and the organotypic retinal explant culture makes this model controver.ial in postnatal retinal development ***,we aimed to verify the feasibility of using this model for postnatal retinal development studies by comparing it with the in vivo *** this study,we showed that postnatal retinal explants undergo normal development,and exhibit a consistent structure and timeline with retinas in ***,we used SOX2 and PAX6 immunostaining to identify retinal progenitor *** then examined cell proliferation and migration by immunostaining with Ki-67 and doublecor.in,***-67-and doublecor.in-positive cells decreased in both in vivo and explants during postnatal retinogenesis,and exhibited a high degree of similarity in abundance and distribution between ***,we used Ceh-10 homeodomain-containing homolog,glutamate-ammonia ligase(glutamine synthetase),neuronal nuclei,and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 immunostaining to examine the emergence of bipolar cells,Müller glia,mature neurons,and microglia,*** timing and spatial patterns of the emergence of these cell types were remarkably consistent between in vivo and explant *** study showed that the organotypic retinal explant culture model had a high degree of consistency with the progression of in vivo early postnatal retina *** findings confirm the accuracy and credibility of this model and support its use for long-term,systematic,and continuous observation.

Spinal cord injury involves non-rever.ible damage to the central nervous system that is characterized by limited regenerative capacity and secondary inflammatory *** expression of the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 axis exhibits significant differences before and after *** studies have revealed that the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 axis is closely associated with secondary inflammatory responses and the recr.itment of immune cells following spinal cord injury,suggesting that this axis is a novel target and regulatory control point for *** review comprehensively examines the therapeutic strategies targeting the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 axis,along with the regenerative and repair mechanisms linking the axis to spinal cord ***,we summarize the upstream and downstream inflammatory signaling pathways associated with spinal cord injury and the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 *** review primarily elaborates on therapeutic strategies that target the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 axis and the latest progress of research on antagonistic drugs,along with the approaches used to exploit new therapeutic targets within the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 axis and the development of targeted ***,there are presently no clinical studies relating to spinal cord injury that are focusing on the C-C motif chemokine ligand 2/C-C motif chemokine receptor 2 *** review aims to provide new ideas and therapeutic strategies for the future treatment of spinal cord injury.

Climatology and seasonal variability of the Mindanao Undercurrent based on OFES data

The simulation of an ocean general circulation model for the earth simulator （OFES） is transformed to an isopycnal coor.inate to investigate the spatial structure and seasonal variability of the Mindanao Under- current （MUC）. The results show that （1） potential density surfaces, δ0=26.5 and δ0=27.5, can be chosen to encompass the M UC layer. Southern Pacilic tropical water （SPTW）, Antarctic intermediate Water （AAiW） and high potential density water （HPDW） constitute the MUC. （2） Climatologically, the MOC exists in the form of dual-core. in some months, the dual-core structure changes to a single-core structure. （3） Choosing section at 8°N for calculating the transport of the MUC transport is reliable. Potential density constr.int provides a good method for calculating the transport of the MOC. （4） The annual mean transport of the MUC is 8.34 × 106 m3/s and varies considerably with seasons： stronger.in late spring and weaker.in winter.

Mechanical stress in high-temperature superconducting ring-shaped bulk during the pulsed-field magnetization

The high-temperature superconducting(HTS)bulk has a higher critical current density and can trap the larger magnetic *** the high-temperature superconducting bulk is magnetized by the pulsed-field,it will be subjected to electromagnetic stress and thermal ***,the bulk may be damaged under larger mechanical stress or str.in during the pulsed-field *** this paper,the electromagnetic field,the temperature and the mechanical response of the ring-shaped bulk are simulated based on the electromagnetic and mechanical gover.ing equations,and the simulated trapped field is consistent with the experimental results given in the *** stress distribution on the top surface of the ring-shaped bulk during pulsedfield magnetization is opposite to the case of field cold ***,the inner edge on the middle plane of the bulk may be broken more easily than the outer edge during the pulsed-field ***,the influences of the size of the inner radius,ambient temperature and rise time of the applied field are ***,the mechanical stress of the bulk with the cooling process is investigated,and the tensile stress on the surface can be enhanced by the cooling process.

Composite nonlinear feedback control for output regulation problem of linear discrete-time systems with input saturation

Transient performance for output regulation problems of linear discrete-time systems with input saturation is addressed by using the composite nonlinear feedback（CNF） control technique. The regulator.is designed to be an additive combination of a linear regulator part and a nonlinear feedback part. The linear regulator part solves the regulation problem independently which produces a quick output response but large oscillations. The nonlinear feedback part with well-tuned parameters is introduced to improve the transient performance by smoothing the oscillatory convergence. it is shown that the introduction of the nonlinear feedback part does not change the solvability conditions of the linear discrete-time output regulation problem. The effectiveness of transient improvement is illustrated by a numeric example.

Near-perfect replication on amorphous alloys through active force modulation based on machine lear.ing/neural network parameter prediction

As a microfor.ing technique, micro/nano-structural replication possesses advantages of high precision and efficiency. With the remarkable superplasticity in the supercooled liquid region, amorphous alloys or metallic glasses(MGs) are regarded as ideal materials for miniature fabrication. However, due to the intrinsic metastable nature of supercooled liquids, the design of imprinting processes for MGs poses a challenge. in the past, process parameters have largely relied on trial-and-error *** this work, a low-frequency active force modulation system is employed to apply a stable, precise, and real-time feedback stress field for.imprinting of MG samples. Low-frequency vibrations can facilitate the filling of microstructures on the template surface by reducing the effective viscosity of the supercooled liquid. With the dataset composed of orthogonal experiments, a machine lear.ing strategy based on back-propagation(BP) neural networks was utilized to construct a 3D parameter space for temperature, stress, and time, and to predict the corresponding filling ratio. Furthermore, the optimal combination of imprinting process parameters was identified, and its filling ratio was experimentally validated to reach as high as 0.94. The near-perfect replication of microstructures confirms the superiority of the active force modulation system and the data-driven strategy of machine lear.ing-assisted parameter design. At the same time, this one-step microfor.ing process provides a new approach to addressing the accuracy-cost trade-off dilemma in precision manufacturing.

Crystalline Size Effects on Texture Coefficient,Electrical and Optical Proper.ies of Sputter-deposited Ga-doped ZnO Thin Films

C-axis oriented Ga-doped ZnO(GZO) films with various thicknesses were deposited on glass substrate by radio frequency(rF) magnetron sputtering. The dependence of crystal structure,electrical,and optical proper.ies of the GZO films on crystalline size were systematically studied. The results showed that the texture coefficient of (002) peak (TC(002)) decreases with increasing crystalline size. The Hall mobility m was reciprocal to electron effective mass and the fitted relaxation time s was 0.11±0.01 ms. With the increase of average crystalline size,the resistivity increased slightly,which is caused by the competition of (002) and(101) plane,introducing in some defects and leading to car.ier density reduction. The optical band gap was in the range from 3.454 to 3.319 eV with increasing crystalline size from 26.96 to 30.88 nm,showing a negative relationship. The dependence of optical band gap (Eopg) on the crystalline size(r) can be qualitatively explained by a quantum confinement effect. The relationship between Eopg and r of GZO films suggests that tuning up optical proper.ies for desired applications can be achieved by controlling the crystalline size.

Effect of heat treatment on microstructure and mechanical proper.ies of Ti-containing low alloy martensitic wear-resistant steel

Effects of quenching temperature and cooling conditions(water cooling and 10%NaCl cooling)on microstructure and mechanical proper.ies of a 0.2%Ti low alloy martensitic wear-resistant steel used for die casting ejector plate were *** results show that lath martensite can be obtained after austenitizing in the range of 860-980℃and then water *** an increase in austenitizing temperature,the precipitate content gradually *** precipitates are mainly composed of TiC and Ti4C2S2,and their total content is between 1.15wt.%and 1.64wt.%.The precipitate phase concentration by water-cooling is higher than that by10%NaCl cooling due to the lower cooling rate of water *** the austeniting temperature increases,the hardness and tensile strength of both water cooled and 10%NaCl cooled steels firstly increase and then *** experimental steel exhibits the best comprehensive mechanical proper.ies after being austenitized at 900℃,cooled by 10%NaCl,and then tempered at 200℃.its hardness,ultimate tensile strength,and wear rate reach551.4 HBW,1,438.2 MPa,and 0.48×10^(-2)mg·m^(-1),respectively.
