The future of optoelectronics is directed towards small-area light sources,foremost being microLEDs.However,their use has been inhibited so far primarily due to fabrication and integration challenges,which impair efficiency and yield.recently,bottom-up nanostructures grown using selective area epitaxy have garnered attention as a solution to the aforementioned issues.prof.Lan Fu et.***.have used this technique to demonstrate uniform p-i-n core-shell InGaAs/Inp nanowire array light emitting diodes.The devices are capable of voltage and geometry-controlled multi-wavelength and high-speed operations.Their publication accentuates the wide capabilities of bottom-up nanostructures to resolve the difficulties of nanoscale optoelectronics.

The recent identification of a neurodevelopmental disorder with cerebellar atrophy and motor dysfunction(NEDCAM)has resulted in an increased interest in GEMIN5,a multifunction rNA-binding protein.As the largest member of the survival motor neuron complex,GEMIN5 plays a key role in the biogenesis of small nuclear ribonucleoproteins while also exhibiting translational regulatory functions as an independent protein.Although many questions remain regarding both the pathogenesis and pathophysiology of this new disorder,considerable progress has been made in the brief time since its discovery.In this review,we examine GEMIN5 within the context of NEDCAM,focusing on the structure,function,and expression of the protein specifically in regard to the disorder itself.Additionally,we explore the current animal models of NEDCAM,as well as potential molecular pathways for treatment and future directions of study.This review provides a comprehensive overview of recent advances in our understanding of this unique member of the survival motor neuron complex.

Neurological and psychiatric complications continue to be a public health concern in long coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).This varies from olfactory dysfunctions such as parosmia to cognitive and emotional challenges.Historically,the surge of neurological disorders followed the viral pandemics,for example,the emergence of Encephalitis Lethargica after the outbreak of Spanish Influenza.During and after COVID-19 infection,the problems associated with the sense of smell and the reports of affected olfactory and limbic brain areas are leading to a growing concern about the similarity with the symptoms and the pattern of degeneration observed at the onset of parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's disease.These reports reveal the essentiality of long-term studies of olfactory and cognitive functions in the post-COVID era and the experiments using animal models to dissect the neural basis of these complications.In this manuscript,we summarize the research reporting the potential correlation between neurological disorders and viral pandemic outbreaks with a historical perspective.Further,we discuss the studies providing evidence of neurodegeneration due to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection by focusing on viral parkinsonism.

In biological pest control systems,several pests(including insects,mites,weeds,etc.)are controlled by biocontrol agents that rely primarily on predation.Following this biocontrol management ecology,we have created a three-tier prey-predator model with prey phase structure and predator gestation delay.Several studies have demonstrated that predators with Holling type-II functional responses sometimes consume immature prey.A study of the well-posedness and local bifurcation(such as saddle-node and transcritical)near the trivial and planer equilibrium points is carried out.Without any time lag,the prey development coeficient has a stabilizing impact,while increasing attack rate accelerates instability.Energy transformation rate and handling time are shown to cause multiple stability switches in the system.Numerical results demonstrate time delay is the key destabilizer that destroys stability.Our model can replicate more realistic events by including time-dependent factors and exploring the dynamic behavior of nonautonomous systems.In the presence of time delay,sufficient conditions of permanence and global attractivity of the nonautonomous system are derived.Finally,MATLAB simulations are performed to validate the analytical findings.

Gamma-ray bursts(GrBs) are among the brightest objects in the Universe and, hence, can be observed up to a very high redshift. properly calibrated empirical correlations between intensity and spectral correlations of GrBs can be used to estimate the cosmological parameters. However, the possibility of the evolution of GrBs with redshift is a long-standing puzzle. In this work, we used 162 long-duration GrBs to determine whether GrBs below and above a certain redshift have different properties. The GrBs are split into two groups, and we fit the Amati relation for each group separately. Our findings demonstrate that estimations of the Amati parameters for the two groups are substantially dissimilar. We perform simulations to investigate whether the selection effects could cause the difference. Our analysis shows that the differences may be either intrinsic or due to systematic errors in the data, and the selection effects are not their true origin. However, in-depth analysis with a new data set comprised of 119 long GrBs shows that intrinsic scatter may partly be responsible for such effects.

The basic concept of phytosociology is crucial for the assessment of species composition and dynamic ecological succession of forests supporting ecological services,functions,disturbance,and resilience that lead to the development of integrated areas such as ecological niche modeling and contribute to identifying the valuable bio-indicators which can be used in framing conservation and management planning.B.utilis is one of the most dominant tree species of treeline ecotone in the Himalayan region.The species is also considered as indicator species for monitoring the past and recent climate change impact.The current study was carried out in the natural populations of B.utilis from the sub-alpine zone of North-western Indian Himalaya.The birch dominated forest harbors a total of 305 plant species comprising Angiosperms(51 families,160 genera and 277 species),Gymnosperms(03 families,05 genera and 07 species)and pteridophytes(07 families,11 genera and 21 species)with Asteraceae,ranunculaceae and rosaceae as dominant family.Birch forests are found dominant in shady moist habitat and North West aspect.Geographical characteristics,anthropogenic and developmental activities affect the population structure of B.utilis and associated species.However,the species has fair regeneration status in the study area.The acidic nature of soil pH and spatial variation in edaphic characteristics may be due to geographical differences,rooting patterns and litter accumulation of below and above-ground vegetation.Biomass estimation of a representative population of B.utilis from each site showed that TAGBD,TCD and TBD were found maximum in ST3(Hamta pass II site).The CCA analysis determined that environmental variables such as altitude,organic matter,available phosphorous,organic carbon,available nitrogen,and electrical conductivity played a significant role in determining tree species composition and distribution in B.utilis dominated forests.

The extensive research and development in perovskite solar cells(psCs)have rekindled the hopes of con-verting solar energy into electricity.An elusive understanding of underlying mechanisms is required for the development of effcient psCs.Over the years,Impedance Spectroscopy(IS)characterization,along with complementary techniques,has proven to be an effective way to understand and analyze the charge transport and recombination at interface and bulk of pSCs.The IS of pSCs have been analyzed,interpreted,and improvised continuously,revealing intricate details about the work.However,there is a lack of cen-tralized source of these details,which make it tougher to account for the generalized approach to under-stand the device properties.The present work is focused on compiling the research done on various psC device architectures via IS to construct a comprehensive foundation of information on impedance plots,equivalentcircuits,and associated processes.

We propose a mathematical model studying a within-host infection dynamics of SArSCoV-2 in pneumocytes.This model incorporates immune response,vaccination and antiviral drugs.The crucial properties of the model-the existence,positivity and boundary of solutions are established.Equilibrium points and the basic reproduction number are calculated.The stability of each equilibrium point is analyzed.Optimal control is applied to the model by adding three control variables:vaccination,treatment by Favipiravir and treatment by Molnupiravir.Numerical results show that each individual control could reduce SArS-CoV-2 infection in some aspects;however,with a combination of three controls,we obtain the best results in reducing SArS-CoV-2 infection.This study has emphasized the importance of prevention by vaccine and the antiviral treatments.

BACKGrOUND Abdominal wall deficiencies or weakness are a common complication of tem-porary ostomies,and incisional hernias frequently develop after colostomy or ileostomy takedown.The use of synthetic meshes to reinforce the abdominal wall has reduced hernia occurrence.Biologic meshes have also been used to enhance healing,particularly in contaminated conditions.reinforced tissue matrices(r-TMs),which include a biologic scaffold of native extracellular matrix and a syn-thetic component for added strength/durability,are designed to take advantage of aspects of both synthetic and biologic materials.To date,rTMs have not been reported to reinforce the abdominal wall following stoma reversal.METHODS Twenty-eight patients were selected with a parastomal and/or incisional hernia who had received a temporary ileostomy or colostomy for fecal diversion after rectal cancer treatment or trauma.Following hernia repair and proximal stoma closure,rTM(OviTex®1S permanent or OviTex®Lpr)was placed to reinforce the abdominal wall using a laparoscopic,robotic,or open surgical approach.post-operative follow-up was performed at 1 month and 1 year.Hernia recurrence was determined by physical examination and,when necessary,via computed tomo-graphy scan.Secondary endpoints included length of hospital stay,time to return to work,and hospital readmissions.Evaluated complications of the wound/repair site included presence of surgical site infection,seroma,hematoma,wound dehiscence,or fistula formation.rESULTS The observational study cohort included 16 male and 12 female patients with average age of 58.5 years±16.3 years and average body mass index of 26.2 kg/m^(2)±4.1 kg/m^(2).patients presented with a parastomal hernia(75.0%),in-cisional hernia(14.3%),or combined parastomal/incisional hernia(10.7%).Using a laparoscopic(53.6%),robotic(35.7%),or open(10.7%)technique,rTMs(OviTex®Lpr:82.1%,OviTex®1S:17.9%)were placed using sublay(82.1%)or intraperitoneal onlay(IpOM;17.9%)mesh positioning.At 1-month and 1-year follow-ups,there were no hernia r
