Trace fossil evidences of an Early Miocene paleoseismic event and depositional regime change from the Kutch(Kachchh) Basin

Unconsolidated siliciclastic sediments can undergo post-burial deformation, which leads to the formation of distinctive sedimentary structures, known as soft-sediment deformation structures(SSDS). The presence of a series of sand volcanoes confined to a particular lithostratigraphic horizon can represent a paleoseismic activity and, thereby, exemplifies the concept of “seismite”. The Kutch Basin has been a tectonically active region since the initiation of eastern Gondwana rifting followed by a tectonic inversion during the Cenozoic due to the collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates. A stratum-bound series of sand volcanoes belonging to the Khari Nadi Formation(KNF) is exposed along the banks of Khari river. They separate the shallow marine deposits below and non-marine deposits above with their characteristic marine and paleosol trace fossil suites, respectively. Although a seismogenic origin has been much debated for the SSDS,the ichnofabric analysis of the sand-volcano-bearing stratum unequivocally points toward such an origin under a shallow seafloor condition. In addition to the sedimentary regime change from an open shallow-marine setting to a continental depositional environment concomitant with basinal uplift, the behavior of the burrowing crustaceans testifies to a syn-depositional development of a fault network associated with the fluidization, sand volcanism, and the resilience of the trace-producers in surviving those processes until the sedimentary regime change in the overlying strata. Although the ichno-sedimentological evidence apparently differs from the previous works that proposed a continuous base-level rise from the beginning of deposition of the Khari Nadi Formation up to the middle part of the overlying Chhasra Formation, the paleoseismic activity,its ichnologic signature, and the depositional regime change refer to a higher-resolution(i.e., lower-order)sequence-stratigraphic change causing a short-duration regression within a longer-durat

6T SrAM cell analysis for DrV and read stability

The present paper analyzes the hold and read stability with temperature and aspect ratio variations. To reduce the power dissipation, one of the effective techniques is the supply voltage reduction. At this reduced supply voltage the data must be stable. So, the minimum voltage should be discovered which can also retain the data. This voltage is the data retention voltage（DrV）. The DrV for 6T SrAM cell is estimated and analyzed in this *** sensitivity analysis is performed for the DrV variation with the variation in the temperature and aspect ratio of the pull up and pull down transistors. Cadence Virtuoso is used for DrV analysis using 45 nm GPDK technology files. After this, the read stability analysis of 6T SrAM cell in terms of SrrV（supply read retention voltage） and WrrV（wordline read retention voltage） is carried out. read stability in terms of rSNM can be discovered by accessing the internal storage nodes. But in the case of dense SrAM arrays instead of using internal storage nodes,the stability can be discovered by using direct bit line measurements with the help of SrrV and WrrV. SrrV is used to find the minimum supply voltage for which data can be retained during a read operation. Similarly, WrrV is used to find the boosted value of wordline voltage, for which data can be retained during read operation. The SrrV and WrrV values are then analyzed for different Cell ratios. The results of SrrV and WrrV are then compared with the reported data for the validation of the accuracy of the results.

Genetic variation in relation to adaptability of three mangrove species from the Indian Sundarbans assessed with rAPD and ISSr markers

rich genetic polymorphism is important for plants to adapt to changes because it enables the plant to make anatomical,physiological and biochemical changes in response to abiotic *** characteristics,demographic interference and a cumulative decrease in freshwater influx in the Indian Sundarbans region have proved detrimental to some economically important *** this study,genetic polymorphism of three mangrove species,Xylocarpus granatum,Excoecaria agallocha,and Phoenix paludosa,was assessed using rAPD and ISSr molecular ***,already in distress in the Sundarbans,had the least genetic polymorphism,14.56%in the rAPD analysis and 12.92% in the *** higher genetic polymorphism was recorded for the profusely growing *** and ***: 24.66 and26.4% in rAPD; 24.87 and 20.32% in ISSr analysis respectively.A UPGMA dendrogram constructed using the similarity matrix from rAPD,ISSr and combined datashowed that for ***,the least and highest salinity zones clustered together,whereas for *** and ***,higher and lower salinity areas clustered in different ***’s genetic diversity,calculated from rAPD and ISSr data,was also in accordance with 0.0637 and 0.0583 for ***,respectively,much lower than0.0794 and 0.0818 for *** and 0.0799 and 0.0688 for *** opposing degree of polymorphism might be attributed to the profusely growing *** and *** and precarious status of *** throughout the Indian Sundarbans.

In this paper, we explore the possibility of mapping devices designed in TCAD environment to its modeled version developed in cadence virtuoso environment using a look-up table （LUT） approach. Circuit simu- lation of newly designed devices in TCAD environment is a very slow and tedious process involving complex scripting. Hence, the LUT based modeling approach has been proposed as a faster and easier alternative in ca- dence environment. The LUTs are prepared by extracting data from the device characteristics obtained from device simulation in TCAD. A comparative study is shown between the TCAD simulation and the LUT-based alternative to showcase the accuracy of modeled devices. Finally the look-up table approach is used to evaluate the perform- ance of circuits implemented using 14 nm nMOSFET.

Computerized geochemical modeling of burial diagenesis of the Eocene turbidite reservoir elements：Urucutuca Formation,Espirito Santo Basin,southeastern Brazil passive margin

The computerized geochemical modeling, a useful tool to understand the diagenetic processes influencing the quality of hydrocarbon reservoirs, is performed by using different modules of computer codes based on the thermodynamic and chemical kinetic principles and their associated parameters. As observed in the reservoir lithofacies deposited from the marine sediment-gravity flows, a case study of diagenesis is presented here from the Espírito Santo Basin in southeastern Brazil. The study uses the Geochemist＇s Workbench（GWB～（TM））, PHrEEQC～（TM） and TOUGHrEACT～（TM） computation packages. The comparison of performances of these packages demonstrates the convergence of results from the software-based geochemical modeling with the petrographic observation of dissolution, albitization, kaolinization, and the precipitation of calcite and dolomite. Moreover, with limited data points, e.g., the sedimentary petrographic data acquired from limited number of boreholes, the computer simulation establishes itself to be a powerful quantitative method estimating the degree and type of diagenetic alteration of turbidite reservoir bodies in contact with a source of saline-water influx associated with salt ***, using the limited petrographic data points, the geochemical computer-simulation method can even be utilized and extrapolated for areas where similar geological context is interpreted but no borehole data are available. Hence, porosity of turbidite reservoir lithofacies can be predicted in relation to the spatial distribution of dissolution, kaolinization, and albitization of feldspars and authigenic carbonate precipitation.

In this study, we investigate the possible record of a Late Mesoproterozoic paired metamorphic belt in the Aravalli-Delhi Mobile Belt(ADMB), NW India using a suite of supracrustal and metaigneous granulites from the Pilwa-Chinwali granulite terrain at the north-western margin of the ADMB. Using metamorphic reaction textures, mineral chemistry, metamorphic reaction history, geothermobarometric computations and electron microprobe dating of monazite in 5 samples of pelitic granulite, leptynite gneiss, enderbite and charnockite, we have deduced a medium-pressure granulite facies metamorphism(P between 4.9 and 6.8 kbar, T> 760-815℃) along a heating-cooling, counterclockwise P-T path between 1.09 and 1.01 Ga. When collated with published metamorphic and chronological constraints and geological settings of the adjoining crustal domains of the ADMB, these findings provide new insights into the developments of two tectonic domains of contrasting thermal gradients at ca. 1.0 Ga, consistent with metamorphic transformations in tectonically thickened middle-lower crustal sections during continental collision to continental subduction and in the root zones of spatially adjacent island arc, as part of the rodinia supercontinent assembly event.

We study the quantum molecular sieving of H2 and D2 through two nanotubes placed end-to-end. An analytic treatment, assuming that the particles have classical motion along the axis of the nanotube and are confined in a potential well in the radial direction, is considered. Using this idealistic model, and under certain conditions, it is found that this device can act as a complete sieve, allowing chemically pure deuterium to be isolated from an isotope mixture. We also consider a more realistic model of two carbon nanotubes and carry out molecular dynamics simulations using a Feynman–Hibbs potential to model the quantum effects on the dynamics of H2 and D2. Sieving is also observed in this case, but is caused by a different process.

Potential therapeutic roles of retinoids for prevention of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease

All retinoids, which can be natural and synthetic, are chemically related to vitamin A. Both natural and synthetic retinoids use specific nuclear receptors such as retinoic acid receptors and retinoid X receptors to activate specific signaling pathways in the cells. retinoic acid signaling is extremely important in the central nervous system. Impairment of retinoic acid signaling pathways causes severe pathological processes in the central nervous system, especially in the adult brain. retinoids have major roles in neural patterning, differentiation, axon outgrowth in normal development, and function of the brain. Impaired retinoic acid signaling results in neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial malfunction, and neurodegeneration leading to progressive Alzheimer’s disease, which is pathologically characterized by extra-neuronal accumulation of amyloid plaques(aggregated amyloid-beta) and intra-neurofibrillary tangles(hyperphosphorylated tau protein) in the temporal lobe of the brain. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia and loss of memory in old adults. Inactive cholinergic neurotransmission is responsible for cognitive deficits in Alzheimer’s disease patients. Deficiency or deprivation of retinoic acid in mice is associated with loss of spatial learning and memory. retinoids inhibit expression of chemokines and neuroinflammatory cytokines in microglia and astrocytes, which are activated in Alzheimer’s disease. Stimulation of retinoic acid receptors and retinoid X receptors slows down accumulation of amyloids, reduces neurodegeneration, and thereby prevents pathogenesis of Alzheimer’s disease in mice. In this review, we described chemistry and biochemistry of some natural and synthetic retinoids and potentials of retinoids for prevention of neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration in Alzheimer’s disease.

Optimal Secondary Control of Islanded AC Microgrids with Communication Time-delay Based on Multi-agent Deep reinforcement Learning

In this paper,an optimal secondary control strategy is proposed for islanded AC microgrids considering communi-cation *** proposed method is designed based on the data-driven principle,which consists of an offine training phase and online application *** offline training,each control agent is formulated by a deep neural network(DNN)and trained based on a multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MA-DrL)framework.A deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)algorithm is improved and applied to search for an optimal policy of the secondary control,where a global cost function is developed to evaluate the overall control *** addition,the communication time-delay is introduced in the system to enrich training scenarios,which aims to solve the time-delay problem in the secondary *** the online stage,each controller is deployed in a distributed way which only requires local and neighboring information for each *** on this,the well-trained controllers can provide optimal solutions under load variations,and communication time-delays for online *** case studies are conducted to validate the feasibility and stability of the proposed secondary *** Terms-Communication time-delay,global cost function,islanded AC microgrid,multi-agent deep reinforcement learning(MA-DrL),secondary control.
